    MQ2AutoLogin

    MQ2AutoLogin is a core Macroquest2 plugin that automatically logs in your characters.

    There are 3 different methods to use this plugin:

    1) Standalone
    2) Normal launcher / patchme
    3) ISBoxer / WinEQ2

    1) Standalone
    Using MQ2 as a standalone launcher is recommended for its security. It's also the easiest to setup.

    Right click on the icon in the tray

Size:  11.9 KB

    Select Profiles > Create New

    Name:  create-new--profile.jpg

Size:  41.1 KB

    Fill in the information and save. SERVER MUST BE THE SHORTNAME.

    Server short name list
    Code:
    antonius
    bertox
    beta
    bristle
    cazic
    drinal
    erollisi
    fippy
    firiona
    lockjaw
    luclin
    povar
    ragefire
    rathe
    test
    trakanon
    tunare
    vox
    vulak
    xegony
    zek
    Server not on this list? Make your own shortname, scroll down for instructions to add new servers.

    The profile will be encrypted and saved in mq2autologin.ini.
    Note that this list will be rendered unusable if you switch computers, or make hardware changes to your current computer. If you wish to keep your logins when switching PC's, use the export/import feature.

    MQ2Autologin plugin must be loaded
    macroquest2.ini under plugins > mq2autologin=1
    or if in eq with mq2 loaded
    Code:
    /plugin mq2autologin

    Login multiple accounts:
    Each profile group has a "Load/Unload All" option, which will load every character selected with a checkmark.

    To remove a checkmark, right-click the character name.

    Login a single account:
    To login a single character, left-click the character name.

    If a character is loaded and has the text (Loaded) next to it, you can click it to unload MQ2. It's a simple toggle.

    Batch files and hotkeys:
    If you'd like to make a batch file or hotkey to login, it's simple.
    This example assumes you HAVE profiles created with "Create New..." in mq2autologin.ini and MQ2 is already loaded.
    A batch file can launch your accounts by sending the server_charname to the eqgame client like this:
    Code:
    patchme /login:drinal_eqmule

    2) Normal launcher / patchme
    WARNING:
    The following method stores your account information in MQ2AutoLogin.ini in plaintext. NEVER SHARE OR POST THIS FILE!

    First, you'll need to set up the ini file (named: MQ2AutoLogin.ini) with your account information:
    Code:
    [Settings]
    KickActiveCharacter=1
    InstantCamp=0
    UseMQ2Login=0

    [Session1]
    StationName=ChangeMe
    Password=ChangeMe
    Server=ChangeMe
    Character=ChangeMe

    [Session2]
    StationName=ChangeMe
    Password=ChangeMe
    Server=ChangeMe
    Character=ChangeMe
    Then load the game with either the normal launcher, or the patchme method, and your character will be logged in. The first window will open session1, the next window session2, and so on.

    3) ISBoxer / WinEQ2
    WARNING:
    The following method stores your account information in MQ2AutoLogin.ini in plaintext. NEVER SHARE OR POST THIS FILE!

    You can also use station names rather than sessions, this is handy for ISBoxer / WinEQ2 users.

    First, you'll need to set up the ini file (named: MQ2AutoLogin.ini) with your account information:
    Code:
    [Settings]
    KickActiveCharacter=1
    UseStationNamesInsteadOfSessions=1
    UseMQ2Login=0

    [YourStationName]
    Password=ChangeMe
    Server=ChangeMe
    Character=ChangeMe
    Then load the game with whatever launcher you prefer.

    Other settings

    Adding new servers

    MQ2AutoLogin can connect to any server that you specify in the MQ2AutoLogin.ini file.

    syntax
    Code:
    [Servers]
    shortname=Exact Server Name
    The shortname can be anything you like, but the Exact Server Name must be exact.

    For example, to add Brekt:

    1. rightclick macroquest icon in tasktray.
    2. Select the Profiles Menu
    3. Select Open INI File
    4. If a [Servers] section doesn't exist, create it.
    4. Here's how the Servers section should look with Brekt added:
    Code:
    [Servers]
    brekt=Brekt (Free Trade)
    5. Save the file
    6. Restart MacroQuest, this time it will be able to find brekt if you use the word brekt as your servername in the autologin profile.

    You can use this method to add any server, I have a bunch of emu servers in mine for example:
    Code:
    peqtgc=[] [PEQ]The Grand Creation [legit-oow]
    ezserv=[] EZ Server - Custom Zones, Vendors, Quests, Items, etc
    stormhav=[] Storm Haven - High-Quality Custom Content
    alkabor=[] The Al'Kabor Project [www.takproject.net]
    thf=[] The Hidden Forest [ www.thehiddenforest.org ]

    UseMQ2Login Defaults to 1, must be set to 0 if using the 2nd or 3rd login methods or your game will sit at the login screen.

    KickActiveCharacter defaults to 1 (on) if it's not in your ini file. If enabled, this clicks the "Yes" button when the window pops up asking if you want to kick the character that you already have logged into a world server, else it just sits there at the server-select screen.

    UseStationNamesInsteadOfSessions defaults to 0 (off) if it's not in your ini file. If enabled, this uses account information based on the specified station name, which works well if you're using WinEQ2 profiles.

    The sessions are for each account you want to load up. So if you have three accounts, you'll put in entries for Session1, Session2 and Session3, each with its own account information (station name, password, server name, character name).

    Also included is the /switchserver command which, when issued in game, logs you out and logs you back in on whatever server and character specified:
    /switchserver <server short name> <character name>

    Added /switchcharacter command:
    /switchchar <name>

    Bypass
    Holding down the END key while starting EQ will bypass the auto-login routine.
