Plugin - MQ2Eskay 3.1.52471.11

Returning player here. MQ2Eskay is repeatedly casting Gift of Itzal Rk. II on my pet even though it's already in his buff window. Any help would be appreciated.

check one of your windows, its a buff overridding it, and then you are casting it back again. itll say whats going on in one of your windows or see what overrites it
 
I was actually gifted this by a secret admirer. Redbots words not mine. Well this is one hell of a gift. It's as good as any Plugin and that makes it incredible.
 
been running this for a few days. My SK is constantly out of endurance, and no matter how i set endurance watch start to, it won't stop until mana or hp is triggered.

how can i get it to stop and regain endurance so i always have some left for defensives?
he's mt, ma, puller.

party watch is only reporting on mana and hp as well when it's talking in the plugin output.

we currently don't check endurance on mana using members for purposes of groupwatch
so is there any way to get my shd to pause and regain endurance? (considering he is the one in charge of pulling and tanking)

if there was i would have mentioned it - no, currently there isn't

but i'll likely make it so the puller does check their endurance (even if they have mana)

Absolutely loving the plugin. Way better than fighting with an ini all the time.

One thing I've searched for, and I am fully prepared for getting smacked upside the head if its documented somewhere and I missed it...what is the best way to approach what I used to accomplish 10-15 years ago with mq2melee holyshits and downshits and conditionals in the context of the plugin? Specifically, I'm looking to trigger some defensive type disciplines to improve survivability based on conditionals. Is the preferred method mq2react or a Lua script or is there some other simple method I'm missing? The plugin does seem to be firing carapace at times, but I'd like to have a little more control based on conditionals.
 
imo you shouldnt automate the usage of skills the plugin is using, find out if and when you are using it, and if any setting might change it, liek aoecount or soomething, or burning.

but if you do want to get your feet into trouble you could try out the lem Lua, which is a much better thing that mq2react.

Well, I guess that’s part of my question - it doesn’t actually appear to be using some of those other skills, although maybe I just haven’t encountered a circumstance where it felt the need to fire them.

if it doesn't use them 99.9999999% chance you shouldn't use them.
Very rarely does a use case pop up where it makes sense when it does LEM is the way to go

It is a out of the box, solution, but doesnt mean its perfect. Can state what you expect, and what its doing (why x before x), but the structure afaik has been excellent (and when items found, fixed)

I'm not a mind reader. So if you think it should be using something and it's not using it, then I'd need to know exactly what you expect it to be using so I can tell you why it isn't using it, or that it does use it and for only certain situations. Please check out the thread so we can communicate clearly what the expectation is and what the reality is.
 
Some examples. On multiple pulls or names, it will use Epic or Carapace, but when those are down, I'd like to use one of the other options on other timers such as Deflection, Leechcurse, Mantle, or Guardian. I've recently swapped out my Cleric for another DPS, and things get dicey on impact with 4+ mobs with just the shaman until the bard gets things under control. If I manually cycle through the other discs/abilities while the timer on epic or Carapace is down, I'm fine. The plugin does effectively keep me alive until those are on cool down, then I splat.
Is UseDeflection on? Deflection is something saved for burns when you're tanking. It'd be a shame to use it on that smol grey mob that decided it could probably take you, then not have it when Kerafyrm attacks you as a red con.
Leechcurse is currently being used if you're not tanking and are burning
Mantle is used when burning and tanking.
Guardian is used when burning and tanking.

Sounds like you might want to adjust your burncount, manually trigger a burn, etc.

Our defensive abilities are on a tier'd burn. We're very happy with it too.

I have a suspicion that you're not assigned group main tank and also not in a tanking mode.

I'm always in Sic Tank or Puller Tank on the SK as I drive from him 99% of the time (rare exception breaking a camp with the bard). I'm gonna turn some logging on and see if maybe I'm just missing the other one's firing although I've been checking cooldowns pretty religiously on splats. Appreciate the feedback. Still pretty rusty and getting back in the swing of things!

Edit: the other thing I could do is see is add the cleric back in, and see if I'm just splatting too quickly at times to get to the later tiers. Again, thanks for the feedback and helping me understand how it intends to use them. Knowing that lets me examine my setup a little better. Thanks again.

since you're just getting back in the swing of things (which means getting gear'd for the content you're doing) i'd also make sure you're using a shield since deflection and shield flash both require a shield.

make sure you have your epic on your shm (you said you already do on your eskay).

I have some absolute dogshit SKs who just absolutely shit all over any content their gear/AAs are intended to take using mq2eskay

I'm in full Snowbound with Gnome Mountain non vis in every slot except charm, almost max AA for level, and no aug's worse than 35AC. I don't think its a gear problem. Shaman and SK both have epic. Shaman is close to max AA for level as well. 3 pulls are cakewalks in RoS content but 4 pulls get dicey and the only way to survive 5 plus is to manually activate something before impact. My expectations may also be off since when I retired, I was raid geared taking on current group content, and now I'm group geared. That may be most of it.

ok i'm now seeing it check my shd for endurance, but only when another of the group watch triggers it on mana or health.

i'm still running out and pulling while at 0 endurance even though i have set it to 20%
 
Hello, sorry if this is somewhere else already but i searched through and couldn't find it.
Lvl 85 sk on a tlp.
In tank and puller tank mode, sk doesn't cast the terror line of spells. Set as tank/MA/Puller. Terror of Jelvalak is memed, but not used. I am loosing agro most fights. If i flip over and manually cast terror it gives great agro.
Also, pullertank mode is pulling with melee. Would love to pull with terror.
Am I missing a setting somewhere to toggle this?

it sounds like you might not be set to MA and in a tank mode (i know you said you were)

we use any jolt (that isn't powerjolt or aoejolt) during the following condition: "if your target has a target, and it is not you". this is one of the few abilities/usage that doesn't require the "plugin to say it uses it"

this does require your target window to be open at least once so MQ/EQ can initialize it

are you seeing t taunt and such fire?

we also use ageless enmity, acrimony, hate's attraction, etc

and speaking of UI - if you're using the new UI for eq, you might consider turning that off - I don't know if there are negative interactions with that window and MQ yet - that sounds more likley what it is

taunt is on cooldown, not on aggro usage (yes this is on purpose, and no we're not changing it)

Q. What do we use to Pull?
A. from 8 - 32 we use Lifetap, 33-72 we use Terror, 72+ we use Power

are you missing spells?

anyhow as mentioned, terrorjolt is one of the few things for terrorjolt purposes that we don't care about it being the actual spell that the plugin says it uses. it just uses anything that matches that type of spell

I was able to replicate the scenario and appears to be working as expected.

took 2 tanks out and had 1 taunt it off, we instantly did terror
 
Okay. I am missing the power line, so I'll go grab that tomorrow.
Not sure what I could have set wrong to cause this, but maybe i'll reload defaults tomorrow and see if it helps.
 
I must have had something set goofy. Bought power, reset to defaults, and it started working... Not sure what I did to break it, but agro is great now. Thanks for the help.
