Q. I want to use my own spell set!
A. Use BYOS --- /shd byos on
Q. How do I make it not taunt?
A. You will use your tanking type stuff (including taunt) if you are in a tank mode (like 4, 5, 7, or 8), or you are assigned as Main Tank in your group window assignment. If you don't want to do tanking stuff (like taunt) put yourself in a non-tank mode (like 0 manual, 1 assist, etc) and don't be assigned as main tank in your group window. This will allow you to on-the-fly swap to doing tank stuff and non-tank stuff (like if you are off-tanking and need to swap with another tank). You can just quickly adjust your mode, or group assignment. Flow Chart > HERE <
Q. It won't cycle buffs outside of Azia (and I'm in byos mode)
A. BYOS is "bring your own spells, and handle your own buffs" mode - its not going to memorize over your current spellset to do stuff like buffing
Q. I appear to be chain casting Azia/Beza - or the buffs that azia/beza cast like covenant line - mana conversion?
A. Do you have any enchanter buffs on you? you likely have an issue that MacroQuest is reporting to mq2eskay that, despite having Voice of Sagacity, Voice of Perception (or other clarity lines from an enchnater), that you still need covenant.
You should decide which one you want and add the other one to your blocked buffs.
There are a few of these buffs that eq/mq2 reports stack that do not or will chain overwrite other buffs and you get into a buffing contest with another toon. You either have this situation or some other issues. I would suggest checking for the red error text that eq gives you to tell you WHY it didn't successfully take hold and then go from there. You can block anything you don't want cast. This is a built-in EverQuest feature - right-click on the buff and "add this spell to list of blocked spells" or go through the eq menu -> character -> blocked buffs

EQ Menu -> Character -> Blocked Pet Buffs (to add to anyone's pet blocked spells)

We now actually ignore the illusions so you don't need to do that for this purpose (tho i do suggest blocking them anyhow)
Make sure you understand that if you block the covenant part, you need to block the skelly illusion part as well, since that is part of that spell.
Q. Every time i manually cast a spell, i cast Azia and then interrupt it?

This is explained in the mq2eskay video, you should check that out.
This was needed due to gems sticking, the plugin would use this to "unstick" greyed-out gems. Use the above command to turn it off.
Q. I seem to recast my pet haste a lot?
A. you likely don't have the resource for your torrent line pet blocked. They don't stack, and your "Torrent of XXX Recourse" will overwrite your pet haste. I add all ranks of "Torrent of XXX Recourse" to my pet blocked buffs.
For Torrent of Anguish / Torrent of Melancholy you can do this to block them all:
EQ Menu -> Character -> Blocked Pet Buffs (to add to anyone's pet blocked spells)
/blockspell add me id
/blockspell add pet id
Q. My Shd window isn't saving the location
A. follow these steps:
1. move it to where you want it
2. close the window
3. /shd show to reshow it - eq will now have the window saved

Q. It's not summoning a pet?!
A. Do you have bone chips?
Q. It's not using damage shield spell.

A. You are likely using Disruption and then receiving a heal. I explain this in the eskay video - turn off disruption
Q. It spams snare.
A. As mentioned in the video, we don't have logic to handle immunities yet, but you can always just click off using AA Snare.
Q. My SK is using a ton of mana
A. SKs are mana hungry, especially in the 70-85ish range, I recommend using UseBeza to use the mental line instead of the horror line (manatap). Also turn off UseTorrent so you use the "HpManaTap" line of spells. If you are super low level you can also turn off uselifetap, and you won't use lifetaps in combat.
you can also adjust how aggressive your lifetaps are - /shd lifetap 99 would make you lifetap at 99 health, instead of on cooldown
Q. Mana issues?!
A. Adjust your DotManaMin - this is the lowest mana you want to keep to use your regular dots (and the Bond line)
Q. Why does it say "less" instead of "fewer"?
A. I also am ending sentences with prepositions! Sometimes I have to resist pedantry otherwise it leads to madness.
Q. Why no Bandolier swapping?
A. This is on our to-do list as something we may add for the tank classes.
Q. How can i get it to break invis to do stuff like buff or memorize spells?
A. MQ2Eskay will break invis to do stuff if a camp is set - so mode 1/4/5/6/7/8 would break invis to do stuff like buff, where mode 0 would not.
Q. Epic 1.5/2.0?
A. The 1.5/2.0 are automagically used as part of the combat checks. It checks against your health for "uh oh" usage, and in the tier'd burns for burn usage. No need to add it to anything - unless you want it to be used as an "any time its up" then you would want to add it to combat/burn - just keep in mind you will lose its functionality as part of the tier'd defensive routine and "uh oh" bit if you use it on cooldown.
Q. Lower Lvl feels weird?
A. Lower lvl stuff can be weird with spell options and such. Share your suggestions to help with lower lvl stuff in the thread, but keep in mind as with all the CWTN class plugins, they're intended to be the most useful "out of the box" for the broadest group of people, which may differ from what you're used to, or what works for your particular setup.
Q. What do we use to Pull?
A. from 8 - 32 we use Lifetap, 33-72 we use Terror, 72+ we use Power
Q. Trying to go mode 1 but says I need a mesh?
A. The plugins require mq2nav for movement. You will need to run the mesh updater in your RedGuide's Launcher. Please watch the video > HERE <
Q. I sometimes get stuck in my spell book?
A. This is often due to your background fps not being high enough. It is strongly advised to utilize at LEAST 30 fps for background, recommended 60+ background fps. The fps cycle for eq is where "work" is done. If your background fps is set to "min" you can and will have undesired results with all sorts of automation activities.
Alt-O -> Display -> Advanced - > Max Background FPS
You will also need to check if you are using any external background fps limiting software - like isboxer - and adjust that accordingly.
Q. Sometimes a mob keeps hitting me but i don't engage? Ex. Dracoliches
A. This means you need to make your campradius bigger, as the mob is likely a "large" model mob and is hitting you from outside your campradius.

A. You probably have auto remove illusion turned on, but don't actually have the illusion from this spell added to your blocked buffs. This will make you want to recast the spell. If you don't want to re-cast the spell to get the illusion, you will want to add it to your blocked buffs. This is typically Icebone Skeletal Form.

/shd debugpull on once and it will cycle 1 time and spit out in your mq2 window all the mobs and why you are not pulling them. Compare the output with the mobs you think you should be pulling and it will tell you why. This will notify you if you have no nav path, or out of zradius, or regular radius, or on ignore, etc.Q. /shd CheckForStuckGems true/false/on/off/0/1 - Sets if you want to try and "unstick" your spell gems - this will happen in every mode other than manual, and we use the Dark Lord's Unity AA.This is explained in the mq2eskay video, you should check that out.
