Plugin - MQ2Eskay (1 Viewer) 3.1.52471.11

Is there a way with the CWTN line of plugins to have it ignore a mob by ID? For example - sometimes a mob gets stuck in the wall and I can't hit it, I can't do damage to it, it never returns to spawn even after all aggro is gone - I don't want to ignore all mobs with that name, could I do a /shd ignore id "numberhere"? If that exists, is it temporary or is there an easy way to clear it for a zone (just clear the ID based ones)?

No

And you're not going to pull if you have a mob aggro stuck in a wall anyway.

I want to feign it off or zone to make it no longer be on xtarget.

I have tried that (actually the whole group has left and the next day it was still stuck there). The mob doesn't seem to aggro anyone, or attack back when it happens (and you can't damage it either), it's just from then on CWTN wants to fight/pull it to the exclusion of everything else nearby. (It targets the mobs, runs over to the wall that it's stuck in, then proceeds to sit there staring at the wall because it's unable to actually damage the mob).

I would suggest editing your mesh so the mob is not on where mq2nav thinks you can get to

I'm at work unfortunately, so cant watch videos - but did a bit of searching and coming up with nothing (admittedly not very good at this)

Trying to set this to Puller tank and its saying i don thave a mesh file for the zone (House of Thule zone), but i do have the mesh files and tried the updated several times

Can i point this plugin towards the right mesh at all? Cheers
are you sure you are looking in the right location for the mesh files? seems odd

and it worked before? have you done something recently that could have borked things up? switched between live, test, emu....

sounds like your nav folder is in the wrong location, where exactly is it located?

Only just got this and the shaman one today - both give same issues. MQ2Nav works fine for me with Dannet though when asking toons to come to me etc, so its a weird issue

MacroQuest > Release > MQ2Nav is where the files are located, as standard
mine is under resources/mq2nav

Mate! No idea why my meshes werent in there and in the other folder !

this looks to be working well now

Thank you for the assist !
used to be there, changed when MQ2 / MQ2Next became Macroquest I think. They cleaned up the structure a bit. Did you come back from a break maybe?

I know you have this sorted now, which is great - and welcome back.

just as a "by the way" the error message actually tells you to run the rg mesh updater via: "You can run Mesh Updater on the RG Launcher." so the error was telling you how to fix it

is it possible to priorize the targets? for example: first kill all mobs named "123" and when there are no more 123-targets, kill the 456-type ones?

No. You're not target locked, so change your target if you need/want.

I know it's in the videos but would someone be kind enough to remind me what Sic Tank does It's there and I never use it.
Click on commands at the top of the page:

Mode:
/shd mode - Manual|Assist|Chase|Vorpal 0|1|2|3|4|5|6|7
Has access to all of the CWTN plugin "Modes"
Mode 0 - Manual --- Manual
Mode 1 - Assist --- assist your MA and returns to camp
Mode 2 - ChaseAssist --- chasses and assists your MA
Mode 3 - Vorpal Mode (Assist but no camp or chase -- THIS IS NOT A TANKING MODE)
Mode 4 - Tank --- tank stuff
Mode 5 - PullerTank --- pull and then tank
Mode 6 - Puller Assist pull and then assist MA
Mode 7 - SicTank Mode --- sets a camp, and does tank stuff, but doesn't return/sit down
Mode 8 - Hunter Tank mode --- runs around and kills stuff

Thanks this almost does it. Let me ask another way. I know if I'm in Hunter Tank everyone else goes in chase and it's seek and destroy. I know if I'm in puller tank casters are in manual and melee are in assist and you get a classic tank pulls to camp. If I am in Sic Tank I put everyone in what mode? And they do what? Traditional camp? Seek and destroy?

SicTank won't pull, so it would just sit there are react to mobs that come within the camp radius, it just won't return to the particular camp location. In essence, it's Tank mode without the return to camp and sit down when waiting for more mobs. You can put everyone else in whatever assist mode you want (assist, chase or vorpal).

Thanks that's what I was trying to figure out. I appreciate it. I appreciate everyone who took the time to answer. I mean that.

What I find myself wanting is a mode like SicTank, where the camp radius follows the tank as they move around. Is there already a mode like that?

Is there documentation someplace that shows how looting is handled with the character plugins? I used Eskay for a few min for my group (others are all KA based) and it was obvious because I normally have my SK looting everything and now he wasn't and I didn't see much in the config for it. I was hoping for something similar to the ini that KA uses.

We don't loot.

You could adjust your camp to be something stupid large, but otherwise no - which is intentional, because think about it you can already set "attack anything aggro within this adjustable sized area" so another mode to facilitate that per each other mode doesn't make sense.

And also, would suggest utilizing huntertank, or checking out the sticky and watching the move your toons vid and seeing the usage of resetcamp

I worked around it, just have a different toon looting
there are half a dozen looting automations, including built-in eq looting.

YALM, lootly, mq2lootmanager, mq2autoloot (i don't recommend).

mq2eskay does sk stuff, we don't do looting, or rez accepting (mq2rez), or auto grouping (mq2autogroup, grouper, etc), we don't do tradeskill trophy swapping (mq2tstrophy), we don't do spending your AAs (mq2aaspend) etc.

so here's a new problem for me with the plugin, which is an awesome piece of work. But, in Raidmode, when I switch to SicTank or Tank mode, I am automatically set to group roles MA and MT. But, when I switch to Assist or ChaseAssist, the roles do not change and I have to manually set them. This is causing problems. I can fix this with hotkeys that swap modes and roles together, but is that the best solution?

Yes, correct.

You can turn that off or you can just not have them be group leader (this is how i manage my toons in a raid / multi-group setting where i need/want to be able to not be set to group main tank)

INI:
- "setgrouproles" toggle option is now available
-- example: "/shd setgrouproles off"
-- the purpose of this is to allow you the (temporary) ability to not have the cwtn plugins force your group roles when you enter certain modes
-- ex: mode 4 would set you to tank/ma group role if you were group leader
--- there is no INI setting for this, this is a toggle for your current instance of the plugin.
--- if you reload/relog/restart you will need to toggle it off again.
--- we intentionally do not want this to be an ini setting or a saved setting, but understand very niche desire to have the ability to toggle it off.
- corrected some instance where certain modes wouldn't flag you with the respective group role.
-- example: puller group role for huntertank
- group role adjustment will now again only be attempted by group leader

Well i've been using Mq2Eskay for about a day now and so far it definitely holds up to expectations. It provides a simple entry into automation without the initial setup of kissassist. Im still learning more of the intricacies of the plugin, however, it was able to run for about 8 hours yesterday evening in puller tank mode without any issue what so ever. After I recycled my group and restarted everything up for the evening, I set them up to run over night, and at some point, my SK did get stuck and just quit pulling. I think I had tweaked the pull settings to go out to 1200, and I think I had been using 800 most of the day. So I may need to look into that tweak in my mesh, but I just dropped it back to 800 this morning and let it go. My only other issue so far has been looting, and that was easily solved by having a different toon master loot and reference the loot.ini file.

If it doesn't exist in some way now in the plugin, I would like to see fellowship integration for recovering from wipes :-)

Well "looting" isn't an eskay problem as mentioned a few of the last responses, as we don't do that.

You see to have missed my response on that. But glad you found something that works for you.

We also dont return from campfire, but we do set them if you want.

If you're looking to afk RG and specifically the cwtn plugins aren't going to go out of their way to do that - we don't condone/support unattended play and you it is a detriment to MQ/eq, which is one of the several reasons we dont autoreturn you to fellowship - there are other macros and luas which will help you do that. But mq2eskay isn't

85 SK, casting Venril's Covenant over and over again when out of mana, blocked by voice of foresight. is there a way to stop this loop short of clicking off voice of foresight?

Yes. Check the FAQ

Decide which one you want and block the other.

Skipping the stuff in the sticky (like knowing about the FAQ, commands, etc) is going to lower your enjoyment.

Like not knowing there are spells you want to block on your pet for all around eq goodness.

Hello,
I play on test. I use MQ2class for 5 party members and Kissassist for the bard.

I'm aug hunting for the SK. I've got a named that can spawn in multiple spots and I am running from PH to PH. I've tried a few different things, but I seem to be failing at trying to do this effectively. And I ass-u-me there is an actual way to do it I can figure out.
I mark the SK as MT/MA. I want to run from PH to PH, target the PH, hit mellee attack, and have MQ2ESKAY do the fighting.
What mode do I put the SK in so I can move him about manually and run from PH to PH and then do the fighting?
The other 5 toons (I assume) I'd put them in mode 2 (chaseassist) so that they follow the SK around and then attack whatever the SK attacks.
The Kissassist bard I would change the ini from mode assist to mode chase.

Any guidance appreciated.
Respectfully

I highly recommend watching the movement videos and reading up on what each mode actually does. You have options
