Anyway to make your SK cast Terror of Ander when you already have agro for the theft of essence buff or do i need to just cast it manually when i already have agro?

Having a pet taunt off the SK seems to make it cast Terror to get agro back, so I assume its just saving it for when you dont have agro.

If not oh well, just curious.
 
I was searching for an answer, but can't seem to find what I'm looking for. I use the MQ2eskay plugin and love it. I use 2hs 99% of the time and was wondering, if the crap hits the fan, will the SK switch to a 1h/shield and use deflection/shield flash? Never really got low on the SK yet, so wasn't sure how that worked.

This has been in discussion, they may incorporate it, it seems. However it hasn't been confirmed as an absolute.

No. There is no bandolier swapping built in. Too many opinions on what that would look like

Def make sure to check FAQ and such.
 
Bought and downloaded this plug in tonight. This is the most fun plugin yet. Wow! Loved it! So many things I learned about my SK just from watching what the plug in did. Great job guys. One question though (I hope the is the correct thread. If not I apologize). My pulling was limited almost every time from my SK's mana. About every other pull I had to wait on the SK's mana. For those of you who are much more experienced out there any quick advice? I changed from Use Azia to Use Beza to try for more mana. I also noticed that the poison spear spell was used a ton and I'm wondering if I can swap that one out for something not as mana intensive. I believe that's done with a BYOS or BYOS Custom, correct? Any thoughts which spell to put in instead? Any different ideas? Amazing plug in. I'm thrilled to death. I'm just trying to optimize my setup for my crew. Thanks!

Perhaps you might consider adding your testimonial to the review tab. Just a thought. I have been using Eskay for almost a year and I couldn't get over the difference when I first used it. For me it was like night and day,

Sounds like you're not a very high level yet, or your gear/AAs is in need of some TLC.
Consider in the pulling tab, adjusting you Mana values to more closely resemble your preferred playstyle if you still have plenty of mana when you do stop to take a break.
Look into mana conservation AA's, mana regen AA's, and keep your eye out on gear that will help with the same.
BYOS or BYOS Custom will in fact allow you to memorize other spells and allow the plugin to use them if it knows how. It will only use spells that it knows about. So when you first load the plugin it should output a list of things it knows about, if it's not in that list it's not going to want to use them.

Hopefully this will get you steered in the right direction.
 
is there a way to output dps to the MQ window after everyfight? and possibly to EQBC server? i notice, i was using kissassist with rogue (will be changing to mq2rogue soon), and had dpsmeter on..and it reported to all monitor the channel in eqbc his dps every fight.

SOAB, what a great idea. I don't suffer from Mana issues (& I know how to change the setting to watch self / 30% or ETC.), but I never thought to utilize the bow with disablepull. Sounds like fun! Thanks for that tidbit.

no mq2eskay does not do that.

mq2dpsadv shows your dps

or i suggest using eqlogparser

Howdy Everyone! Been using MQ2 for a couple years now and love it! I just noticed today however that my mq2 plugins aren't turning on attack. I have to manually turn their attack on. They tank, assist, cast, do all those things, but I have to turn their attack on. Have I accidently turned something off? Thanks for the help :-).
Side note, I'm playing 2 toons on a pc and 3 on a laptop, it's doing it on both of them.

There is a test server issue related to this.
 
Another question a very pleased newb of these plugins.. I've been using my boxes and your plugins to get myself caught up on anniversary quest rewards, since everyone likes to charge far to much for a ride.

I normally run my SK on manual and the rest on chase/assist

Well on one of tasks, i am not quite high enough to handle the last pull with certain group combos (namely bard vs chanter). So i decided to split the pulls up piecemeal. I set my main group up to just be on assist and my SK still on manual.

i change my puller to my monk, head across a large room. open a door and pull first chunk, hoping to pull out in the main room, feign and wait for enough to go back and then manually pull with monk. so i pull.. 7 mobs come, actually not bad, but before i could make that decision for myself...In my head i hear my SK shout in his best scorpion voice "COME OVER HERE!" and he pulls entire group without me doing anything. Just out of curiosity..what setting is that, just in case i want to manually pull?
 
That sounds like the Library. Make your camp radius smaller or back your group up more(if you can). You could also pause your SK while your monk is pulling/splitting.

Are you *sure* it's the sk? If the sk is on manual mode, he's not going to do anything. It could be the bard songs hitting the monk.

Is this the mission for the lost wayfarer tent?
 
Definitely wouldn't be doing anything on eskay in manual mode.

I'd suggest pausing the plugin if you're unsure about what mode you're in and what the plugin is doing, but manual mode isn't going to be pulling anything for you

yes it was the library. My main group was at the far end of the ballroom. I ran the monk to the opposite wall, in the ballrom, from the library....and feigned when the first one made the middle of the ballrom. They then darted to the main group. I Had one merc cleric, and the SK on manual, the rest using assist on either CWTN plug ins or kissassist.
 
lol i figured it out....even though they were faraway, i still had a bard buff on me..and the little monsters didnt appreciate it.

Sorry, probably another newb question, that my search skills have not been able to locate, general question about all the class plugins.....can they use item clickies/buffs if so how do i set it up?

99% of everything anyone needs to know about these plugins is in the stickied threads at the top of this subforum.
 
So i added a few clickies.....a couple of them tried casting over and over, realized didnt need them and used the remove feature..first one went away just fine, however the 2nd i am getting this:

I tried unloading the plugin and reload, but it continued clicking..

is there a file somewhere in the directory it stores this info i can remove manually?

yes because those are not actual clickies to use.

they don't give you a buff, they unlock AAs.

you will want to add your cloak, but no other worn stuff (ears, fingers, mask, etc)

I just tested with a ring, and removing it works as expected

you can /shd showclickies and see where it is added at

then /shd removeclicky > what ever group you added it to < while it is on your cursor (you might have to pause the plugin so it doesn't try and autoinventory it.

Did you /shd showclickies as Sic recommend to see what sub section it was in? what he is saying is, you might be trying to remove from a section it ISNT in, so make sure its listed in downtime. The command ^ will list them and the subsections.

Pretty certain thats what i did.

so i manually typed it in the MQ box and it finally removed..i had been using a hotkey to do it..and the hotkey worked on several items both adding and removing..but it didnt work on this one for some reason
 
Is there a setting or command to automatically remove a familiar? I obviously want the buff, but not the annoying horseshoe crab following me around. Thanks in advance.

EQ has that as a feature that is built in. Just check out your keyring and go to familiars, then tick the box to remove it.
 
Had serious issues on raid today. My tank would leave it's target everytime an add came by even though I was in manual mode. When I was in Sic mode, same thing. I PAUSED CWTN and it would still do it, I had zero control over my character even with the macro in manual mode and paused. I had to leave raid. I do not use any other macro/Lua for combat, only thing running in background was lootly Lua. even my overseer Lua was off.

sounds like you were running something else

We just simply don't do anything while paused, and there were no changes to modes that would make the plugins do that.

it really sounds like an mq2event, or LEM or a mac or conflicting Lua running.
 
Can confirm, when plugin is paused it does nothing. When in manual mode, it does stuff, but nothing like described. Sic mode, same, nothing like described.

I don't use anything else.. I even tried /end to make sure no macros were running and /Lua gui shows only lootly., The only thing I've ever used mq2event for was to duck during Kael raid. I'm a fairly basic boxer. I rely on CWTN for everything, and only kissassist the classes not available.. I don't even know what LEM is lol

unfortunately there weren't any changes that would make your reported behavior possible - and i reached out to a handful of raiders to check with them, and they are reporting things working as expected (and if they weren't i'd be getting flooded since patch), and i haven't seen the reported behavior either. so hard to help you

are you sure you didn't have "mimic me" stuck on on another toon, and when that toon swapped targets you did too? like on a healer?
