burn abilities are used during burn conditions yepWhen the SK is in in Tank, or SicTank mode... when are defensive cooldowns used? I would like to script/lua/LEM the Spirit Fades event to save/use deflection at the best time (when gumdrop splits) for example. Are defensive cooldowns considered "burns" that trigger on 'burn all named'?
no, they're going to turn around as soon as something is on xtarget.Scenario:
2 SK's grouped each set as puller tank using whatever outside of group support is needed for each. Each SK has set his determined area to pull from. 1 toon in group is the recipient of xp. Is this something that is possible using MQ2Eskay?
Thank you Brother.no, they're going to turn around as soon as something is on xtarget.
It should only be making a camp if you have it set to Tank or Assist. What mode do you have it set to? If you want to move around yourself you're probably looking for /shd mode manualI installed MQ2 Eskay. It worked fine the first run right out of the box. I didnt change anything but its making a camp and when I move forward it's bringing me back to that location and it's not allowing me to get through doors. I havent changed any settings since i wouldnt know where to look in the first place. Please help

thank you for the responseHi green.
Please make sure to post in the correct location.
All the cwtn plugins have a discussion thread in the cwtn section of the forums.
Please see >>> Getting Started with CWTN plugins! (Movement, UI Window, Clickies, Pulling, ETC) Check Here First! <<<
Definitely read the information available in the sticky thread.
If you are in a mode that make a camp, you're going to return to it and sit down.
/Shd mode 0to return to mode 0
If you are in mode 0, and return, then it isn't eskay /end to end any conflicting macro
Yw, once you get hotkeys made and understand "how to move your toons around", you're going to be goldenthank you for the response
Thanks man. This program is teaching me how to SK proper. My toon is a beast! Really cool plug in!Yw, once you get hotkeys made and understand "how to move your toons around", you're going to be golden
hi dobby,I am trying the MQ2Eskay plugin on my 109 SK for the first time today. Seems pretty cool after coming from RGMercs. However, it does not seem to be using any defensive combat skills like mantle, carapace, cursed guardian, etc. Is there something I have to do to make him use these automatically?

yep. mode 7 is a tanking mode so that would applySic,
Sorry about posting in the wrong place. I am running the mq2eskay plugin in mode 7 while running mq2grind on the Darkness Howls mission. It looks like my burn count was defaulted at 5. I thought this setting was just for dps burn. I changed this setting to 3 and now it seems to be using the defensive skills when I get 3 or more, with a small delay.
Thanks sic, I think I am starting to get the hang of it now. I'm fighting whites and yellows so 3 or more at once was dpsing me down pretty quick before my enchanter can get the cc taken care of. Is there any way to speed up how fast the defensive burn kicks in? It seems to be delayed 5 or more seconds after I have 3 or more things in my xtarget window.yep. mode 7 is a tanking mode so that would apply
you can also "burn always" if you just want to go all-out 24/7, which i don't recommend. some of those things are on long reuse timers, which is why they're used during burns - and it would really suck to use your best stuff on a single grey mob, and then a named rolls up on you and you're dead.
burnallnamed, burncount, and burnalways are the configurable options to determine when you should use your fanciest stuff.
the way you want that setup is going to vary depending on your sk, your healing, and your CC capabilities. if your CC was on point, you might not care that you have 3 mobs or if you are raiding and killing massive trash, you would want to bump that up to like 99 (or a value greater than your xtarget count) so you don't "waste" burn abilities on trash.
everything happens when it is intended to happen. obviously things like defensive stuff are prioritized over other things, but if you are moving around, or waiting for mobs to come in (as in not fighting), you're not going to fire stuff. there is no way to change the speed on anything. there are very few things that happen before those things take place. Thanks sic, I think I am starting to get the hang of it now. Defensive should be at the top of the priority list of things to do. I don't believe it's possible to make them any faster. It is tied to combat and camp in sic tank mode. If you're using sictank to manually move around with others on chase it's recommended you make the key you use to attack multibind a resetcamp hotkey so your current location becomes the camp. Thanks sic, I think I am starting to get the hang of it now. Oh, yes I was in Sic Tank mode when I was moving I think so that did it.Use manual mode for moving around. Sic tank assumes you are in a camp and will definitely break invis.
I please post in the correct location.SK keeps breaking Invis Undead to cast buffs and makes it a bit dangerous to move around zones so I have to pause the program to be safe. Seems that if regular invis is on SK does not do this.
So any ideas what I might be doing wrong?
MQ doesn't know that a mob is attacking another group member on it's hate list until it targets said mob individually and receives that information back from the EQ server. What you want would entail that the plug-in CONSTANTLY cycle through all targets on the extended target window checking to see what group member each mob is hitting. Meanwhile, it's not attacking and building agro on the primary target. All your DPS characters would be constantly swapping targets to follow assist and spreading out damage across all mobs. It would make crowd control completely worthless. Is there a reason that it's not set up to attack anything in its radius that has a group member on its hate list when Taunt is set to true? I would love to not have to manually assist. Right now, it seems like the only way to get what I want is to use Puller Tank with pull radius set equal to camp radius. Is there an alternative way that I can get the same behavior?
Yes I know just don't log out in the GH and go someplace else, but I forget
make an ingame configIs there a command to not have MQ2EsKay load up casting soon as you log into game? Like to have it start on Pause when you log in?
If I log out in the Guild Hall then I log back into game the next day I am right in front of everyone with all my 6 toons casting away. It's like a red flag HI There RedGuides UserYes I know just don't log out in the GH and go someplace else, but I forget

Like Greg said, sure, in your MQ/Release/config folder, make a file called "ingame.cfg" with this:Is there a command to not have MQ2EsKay load up casting soon as you log into game? Like to have it start on Pause when you log in?

Mobs need to be aggro for us to fight it. We're not just going to fight everything for no reason. If u want to pull mobs that aren't already aggro - then you want to pull it - so use a mode that pulls.
is the bard in the same group as the SK? is MQ2ESKAY in Tank mode? Is the SK being assigned the Main Tank role via the EQ group window role settings? The plugin works as you are expecting it to, ie tank mode engages the pullers mob as soon as it enters camp radius distance. You def do not need to tell it to /assist, /stand, etc. Watch the intro video, because some detail is wrong with your setup.I think you misunderstood the scenario.
1. SK set to Tank, camp radius 50 (or whatever)
2. bard tags mob and drags it over SK
The SK does not engage in this scenario. I set up a key to send an /assist, /stand, /attack on to the SK that I'm currently hitting separately to get him to engage. This works great, but it was unexpected as a new user that it wouldn't engage a mob that is on a group member's hate list that has entered his camp radius.
Maybe I just need to put Puller's Target on my SK's xtarget list. I'll try that later. (thanks for the idea)
no, you don't need puller's target, and specifically, we will tell you no, to not do that. you want your xtargets left to "auto hater" with "autopopulate" turned on (we actually will try and force these on when plugin loads).I think you misunderstood the scenario.
