"Due to complete misuse of the String Top-Level Object, it has been removed"

I read that link and it doesn't make any sense to a nonprogrammer. The last time this happened, one of my plugins wasn't updated and I had to remove the plugin for the spam to stop. Anyone have a clue as to which plugin is not compliant? Thanks for your time
