Mode 7 - SicTank Mode --- sets a camp, and does tank stuff, but doesn't return/sit down

You make a circle.. but then dont always go back to the center, or sit down, you stay loose and ready.. :f5: so sets a CAMP, does THE BUSINESS and then stands there.

Ohhhhhh, that makes so much more sense! I'm not sure why, but I interpreted it as being a tank mode for being mobile. I figured that this was an user error, but thank you so much for this clarification.

So, would the best mode for tanking & moving around still just be mode 8?

If you want to roam around the zone (and have your crew on follow/assist) and kill stuff, yes. It will not set a camp or sit still in huntertank (8)

If this has been mentioned, I didnt see it, my mage is not deleting the 125 bags and non proc dmg weapons:

DeleteTrash is checked on and I can duplicate by making a new pet.

Greetings. Had to go make sure I didn't turn on Debug at some point before asking. I'm having some weird behavior on signing in when BYOS Custom was on at signout. When I arrive, BYOS is on only, and it waits for me to turn on custom then starts passing out weapons. In the logs I am getting spammed with these messages.

Level 85 Mage, Underfoot expansion. BYOS on at signin, byoscustom kicks off the process of actually passing out the weapons.

Yes byos custom deleted upon unload. So yep. That is correct.

Not sure about the weapons, but can take a look
 
I was exping with my crew in mech guardian today, using among others mq2Mage.. all of a sudden I was flabbergasted because I found summoned pet weapons on an npc corpse.. So my guess is, the mage summoned pet weapons and instead of trading them to the pet, accidentally gave them to a mob.. Is this something that would also be possible without MQ or should I better disable that function so it doesent happen if someone could see and raise questions?
And I know you can give stuff to charmed pets, so I double checked mq2Enchanter running in the group and charm was/no AAs enable that charm off and the bard didnt run KissAssist at that time..

Just really curious if I missed something and thats totally normal or not :p

Are you charming mobs? I know you said you're not, but we[BGCOLOR=initial] only give to pets of group members.[/BGCOLOR]

[BGCOLOR=initial]you wouldn't even be able to trade to a non charmed mob kicking your ass[/BGCOLOR]
 
or, somebody had been there before you, and that was the pet they left (that and haste back in the day on BoT giants)
 
checked the logs.. somehow my chanted charmed it.. maybe i fatfingered the settings..

Is it expected behavior for my mage (as MT and MA and in Tank mode) to engage the add that comes with a named instead of prioritizing the named? I probably just have some setting wrong, but I'm not sure what to check. It seems like I'm seeing:

Puller pulls named + 1
Mage prioritizes the add (not sure if it's first in camp)
Enc mezzes add
Mage sits there and waits for mez to end as named tears through my healer
I manually break mez on the add
group burns add down then moves to the named

We don't care about mez at all, tho a mage tanking can't break mez without use melee being on. But we're not like "this mob is mezzed don't attack it"

If you have priority targeting turned on well prioritize nameds and announce so. If you have it turned off we engage whatever is closest first.

Sorry, yeah I didn't mean to imply the mezzing was part of the problem; just wanted to give a complete picture.

It sounds like priority targeting is what I need, but I apologize I don't see it in the UI and my search fu is failing me. How does one enable that? I found CWTN mention it in a release note as part of pulling in MQ2War, but I don't see that in the pulling tab of MQ2Mage.

actually let's back up. what mob/zone is it, so we can determine it is actually something that we are reporting is a named

It was Bolman and a ph (frozen fright or something like that) in Eastern Wastes. I'm almost positive mage was right next to both mobs with a campRadius of 70 but I'll try to recreate tomorrow to be sure.
 
Ok I tested a couple times today and have been unable to reproduce. I saw the priority target message in mq2mage output so I know he's at least trying. Maybe I just saw a hiccup with slow targeting or am overestimating pet snap aggro or something. Thanks for the help and plugins!

what?

hobby horse isn't an item we would add to downtime - so remove it or deactivate it

and "summon minion" isn't an item

can't help you without more information

Overall I like this rather as I do SHD BER BST AND CLR -
However I have noticed this seems to glitch on a regular basis.
On named mobs - target seems to switch on and off as noticed in dps advanced and notification on named on target bleep.
Pet isnt being summoned in combat even though this switch is on -- tried in sic tank - assist and manual mode.
Even with camp on mode and within the camp radius - will not attach the next mob on the list ( even if onlty 1 one list after kill and mob isnt mezzed) without having to switch to manual andthen to another mode.
 
make sure your SHD is set to group mainassist and group maintank.

"seems to glich on a regular basis" - not sure what you mean, a lot of folks use mq2mage and i don't think that describes their experience, so we'll want to try and figure out why that is the case for you.

beeponnamed only happens if you're tanking - so regular assisting in assist mode doesn't do that.

yes , so I was suprised that these things were happeining :)
Nothing was set to mimic me -- SHD isnt main assist in this case as I am only running clr 2 x ber bst bard and mage so mage in main assist

you said shd, so i was mentioning shd because of that.

make sure the MA mage is the main tank - and make sure all mobs you expect stuff to happen are coming in your campradius.

you should consider using your shd
 
First I love the plug in. I played a mage main for 20 years and I was good, I was even in many "first in game" events in the beginning of the game through about 2007. Your plug-in smokes my dps. I actually tried to match it once best I could do was about 300k less dps. It's just not fun (for me) to micro manage all the damed summoned clicking etc and get the weave perfect every time.

Regardless one area that I would like to see updated after a year of usage is the initial prep for pet summoning, creating the clickies etc. Specifically, if you are just logging in it takes a while for all that prepping and summoning.

What I used to do was have a spell set that only used the bottom 5 slots, memmed all the prep spells and after a single load spell set and I just clicked down the list in order.

Would something like that be possible within the plug-in? Mag and SK both take a long time to get initially started having to use just 1 spell slot repeatedly opening the book etc.

It's not critical but just an observation after using both for a year. I find myself going..."omg are they done?" yet a lot.

Thanks for the kind words and thoughts.

No, we don't plan on that, we're gonna use our buff gem for buffing.

You can always start the plugins paused utilizing a .cfg as mentioned in the FAQ is that is your main need

I run the shd and mage on the same account - as the mage was my frist :) -

Mage is in tank mode and all mobs were in radius - which was why I was suprised things didnt respond as expected --

Mage died in Oublitte last night- rezed by cleric with the AA 100% rez so had mana - had to switch modes a couple of times to have pet cast-- I was wonderng what the conditions are for having in combat pet cast were and as this doesnt seem to a standard layout of chrs and if some edge case was happening.

In manual mode - target is changing without being requested -- so effectively I cannt get other members of my team to switch with MA -- I am really not sure if there is something I am missing with this plugin - but I dont have any issues running with shd as leader runnig m2qshd.

Pure casters and priests always follow your ma, even in manual mode.

In general it is a bad idea to have someone ma who is going to target around others for buffing (like a mage or priest etc, or even bst - especially if they're in manual mode).

So what if the mage were tank and MA ?? rather like SHD bing tank and MA -- with SHD if I swtch targets the rest pf my crew ( those was SwithwithMA) do --

This is frustrating as with SHD everthing works as expected and I wanted to use Mage a leader - but as it stands this isn't working and for any serious situation the plugin appears usable, sorry to say.-- Just tried Aten - and no matter what I did - I had to load pet speel in the middle of the fight after I died.

Fight from Aten -- marked 1 -- mage died
time between -- 30 - 40 secd
marked 2 -- pet summon


Dont get me wrong - I loove the other plugins and am extrealy happy wth their performance and I love the nw UI look- juast mage seems to be odd-

I wanted to try and do some debugging but it looks like you have removed all the debugging commands ?

There are no debugging commands that aren't documented (example: pulling) that would help you or intended for you

regarding your combat summon - I would ensure the option is toggled on - if you die we wait 3 seconds to ensure no bullshittery (cause eq can do weird shit with spell book and updating buffs and things) and then we won't do anything else until we do the combatsummon.

so either a: you had nothing on your xtarget or b: didn't have combatsummonpet turned on - or you're on byos (and not custom)
