I know it seems silly, but it's kind of a deal breaker. I can't tank with my Mage currently and I REALLY want to.

I even set up some AddClickies with the PullItem switch hoping they might get used when a new fight begins.

Clicky8=Molten Komatiite Orb|PullItem|On
Clicky9=Summoned: Voidfrost Paradox|PullItem|On

Maybe create an AddClicky switch for BreakMez?

no a pull;item wouldn't break mez. you're not pulling, you already have mobs to engage

no, don't plan on adding an addclicky for break mez, but like i said about fixing/updating it "When we do, we'll fix/update it"
 
Problem: When out of combat for more than a few seconds, my 110 mage constantly attempts to "Using Item: Summoned: Exigent Servant XXII" or "Using Item: Summoned: Exigent Minion XXII". This produces red error text "You must first select a target for this spell!" It appears that mq2mage is quickly flickering back and forth between targetting himself and clearing target.

we only would use one of those items on a mob that we're trying to attack.

do you have a character with "mimic me" stuck on? We actually have a delay between swapping targets so we don't swap targets in a "flickering" manner - which leads me to believe you have something else swapping your target

Restarting everyone got rid of the flickering, but I'm still getting the spam casting. This is what I see just after I started mq2mage, and not in combat:

did you do something weird like add it to your add clickies because we only use this automatically when we have a mob to fight.
It does appear to be on my downtime clicky list. Thanks for helping me with this, total newb at CWTN plugins.
 
This is just such a vane request, but it would be so awesome if we could assign pet illusions in the clickies. It's basically the same category as downtime except it would target your pet? I have a macro that recasts it, but I just thought that this would be a nice feature.

the "depending on what you're targeting" illusions we don't/wont use --- but i use downtime clicky for brownie, or viritk, sometimes scorpion (but i prefer what i use to see in my pet hands)

Ah, yeah, I guess the issue here being that the pet illusions I'd like them to be using are the ones from heritage chests so they're "depending on what you're targeting" illusions. Unfortunately most of these news ones have the feature to summon a familiar alternatively if not targeting a pet. Stupid feature that almost no one uses and I see how it complicates. 😑

(EDIT: I did just try it though and it's really nice when it works like that. At least I can use that to set my Shaman's pet to a scorpion.)

Just a heads up, you may know this already, but I haven't seen any traffic on it yet. I've been hearing word that Necro and Mage LS swarm pet spells are broken and worse than the 120 spells.... I used BYOS/BYOS custom to change the spells mem'd and the entire plugin refused to do anything until I turned BYOS off. This may be user error, but I can duplicate it.

don't forget - we don't use spells the plugin doesn't say it does - you can't just slap in some old spell and expect it to use it (i don't need a reply about it either - this is just a reminder)

mq2necro we did skip using the newest swarm pet for the same reason, we'd be fine changing SwarmPet for mage b ack to Roiling if it is the same

roiling is a boost with all focuses and such just only 1%

One question about the mage, i only see one toggle for pet weapons but when you are running and bst, i was always told to not give the beastlord pet weapons because it slows down the dps. Is it possible to have only the Mages pet get weapons or is it all or none?

In a normal group setting its fine. In a lagy environment, raiding, its best to use daggers.

All or none.

In raid mode we give just daggers for that reason
 
Hello all, question, I just noticed that my Mage has spells 2-13 memorized while spell 1 is blank. Is that normal?

Gem 1 we put a few different spells depending on level and settings - but mainly shooting for our first spear of spell
 
how do i get my mage to quit casting elemental form over and over as it is not sticking on me.
 
My mage is level 125 and I've been using MQ2Mage for a long while now. Yesterday was the first time noticing Gem 1 is empty.

This is what I have

1) empty
2) Spear of Molten Dacite RK II
3)Ravening Servant Rk II
4) Chaotic Magma
5) Fusillade of Many Rk II
6) Shock of Memorial Steel Rk II
7) Summoning Brazing Orb
8) Igneous Veil Rk II
9) Boiling Skin Rk II
10) Twincast
11) Gather Zeal
12) Spear of Molten Luclinite Rk III
13) Grant Icebound Paradox
 
it is the aa elemental form. as soon as the character hit level 125 it started trying to cast the aa. it is not blocked or anything nor am i on a mount
 
so I right clicked gem 12 Spear of Molten Luclinite Rk II and it disappeared and my mage memorized it at gem 1 now, but now Gem 12 is empty
You should pause, and then I memorize everything and let the plugin place things where they want.

If you check the FAQ, there are circumstances where you might have an empty gem
 
Thank you Sic and ChatWithThisName! I google what progressive spells were and then I looked in Plugin Output and I can see I'm missing progressive spells, Ecliptic Companion and the lower ones too. I can't believe I have not noticed that one of my spell gems was empty all this time.

when the plugins start they immediately inform you of missing things. If you're missing things the plugin is telling you about, you should make it a point to go get them.
 
Each resource on RG has an Overview / Discussion Thread and either a link to their wiki or tabs with FAQ, Commands, Etc.
Please make sure to post in the respective discussion thread, and check the FAQ/Commands/Wiki for information before posting.

Posting in the right place, and posting enough information to help you, would have probably already gotten you the information you needed, but without it - we can't.
