Release MQ2Grind (3 Viewers) 3.1.52471.11

hytiek updated MQ2Grind with a new update entry:

Added Goblins and Fools instance support

10/13/2021
---
Enhancements (MQNext build only)
- Added Goblins and Fools (EoK) instance support (req's updated DROGAB zone mesh)

Resolved defects (MQNext build only)
- Changed the spawn search to avoid issue with UseNewNamedTest and quest giver look up

Caveats (known issues)
- /multiline issue with /rgstart in MQ2Grind.ini (work around is to replace /rgstart with /macro rgmercs\RGMERC.mac)
- Plugin is not available for EMU
- EQ, MQ2, and MQ2Nav say mob is LOS, but isn't, tried to avoid...

I have had a similar issue at this step which involves a mob that likes to "warp" between the dead end area and the first area after you go under the crumbling rocks to get to the slightly lower level Bloodmoons. What happens is, the tank will target this warping mob just as it is phasing through the thin wall in that area and get confused and run all the way around the path up to the dead end usually aggroing 8-10 mobs along the way. As you said, it might happen once in a hundred runs or, do it 2-3 runs in a row. I've never seen six but, I can see it happening. It's all about the timing of when you target this particular mob. I doubt there is anything to do about it except to keep an eye on it when the script hits this point. GMM is notoriously difficult to perfect with the weird pathing and the huts which cause toons to get stuck on them easily. Still, I have managed to max out 10+ toons using it so, I take it as a win.

So I've ran across something strange. In GMM, I can do a ton of runs, only a few runs.. there is no rhyme or reason, but it's happened like 6 times today. It gets to location of 7/26, and then the SK tank just takes off running in circles.. by the time he actually stops we end up getting 8 to 12 mobs. Then Grind decides it doesn't know what to do anymore, and after they are all dead, he continues to run in circles. Of course I /grind end. I've unloaded it completely and reloaded it, I've checked for updates, and this continues to happen. Just Happened again about 5 minutes ago. I've been at the computer when it happens, I've been folding laundry when it happens.. etc. When it first started happening, I thought it was because I tabbed to another char. This time I hadn't touched it in about an hour. I looked over at the screen and he was just running. It always seems to happen at 7/26. Any thoughts?

It's definitely that one mob. Just while reading this, I also saw my toons do the reverse. They had already made it the dead end at loc 22/26, and the mob aggro'ed on my tank while it was right on the side of the wall back around loc 7/26. Sure enough, my SK ran all the way back around. It's more annoying when they run from 7 to 22 though since that will gather 8-10 mobs.

just picked it up THANK YOU.

Running a group of 3 toons. 115 Ranger, 115 Mage, 113 Mag (Merc Tank, Healer, Healer)

All toons are running KissAssist When loading into Goblins and Fools the ranger says going to location 1 but just stands at zone in. If i run him up to the drop off point he will run the rest as normal.

I know we got this fixed in Discord, but for others reading this. The Goblins and Fools instance requires an updated drogab mesh file.

So I just got this last night and so far Ive only tried out GMM. Each time I run it my tank stops on step 18 and they all just kinda hang out. Been standing there for a long time now. Kid needed me so I figured Id let it go to see if it would work past it somehow. Seems fine up until that point. Ive tried it with both MQ and MQnext. Tank is set up for eskay. Im gonna guess this is some sort of operator error but Im not sure what else I should do to get it running correctly.

Any help would be great =) Thanks all!

Where can we find the updated drogab mesh file?

*EDIT for anyone that is wondering the updated file can be retrieved by running MeshUpdater.exe thanks for the help @Sic

Most likely something related to the GMM mesh is my hunch. While in game, open the UI for MQ2Nav (/nav ui) and click on Render Mesh (I think this is the right wording). Ensure your tank is on a blue tile.

My 2 cents, get out of GMM ASAP - it's by far the worst meshable zone I've seen. I did add Goblins and Fools which is also 95+ like GMM.

Yea thats gotta be it. I loaded the mesh and needed to take a nap seeing it. Thanks for the reply man! Moving on to one of the other spots.

OK, need some help figuring out what I'm doing wrong.

I'm trying to do goblins and fools. I have my group at the npc and with the leader I type /grind start. It starts, gets the task on all toons, pause on and then shortly the leader says ready and zones in but no one else does. After the leader has been in the zone for 30-60 seconds grind then start trying to add toons to the task which of course it can't because the group is 6 and so the task is full. it never gets past this point on it's own.

I manually said ready on all the toons and it then picked up and went on with it's job.

Any ideas?

That sounds like you don't have MQ2Dannet loaded and MQ2AutoAccept.

But they accept the task outside the instance then once inside it begins trying to invite them to it again because they have not said ready and entered the instance.

Both mq2dannet and mq2autoaccept are loaded on all toons involved.

It can be reproduced too. It happens every time. I have not once had all toons enter the instance with leader. So I'm assuming I am missing something, I just can't figure out what yet.

Weird it worked flawlessly for me on 3 groups for a month while testing. Interested to find out what the issue is when found.
Again, I'm sure it is something I have or have not done correctly because I know others are running it with np. I have not tried any other instances as my group is not yet strong enough to handle them. G&F is the only one I have tried. So not sure if it is just that instance or not for me.

Hi hi - I just got this last week, have been using Restless Assault and seems flawless - BUT when I just tried Icebound Avatar, my team just does --- nothing. I've tried /resumes, /restarts at various locations - nothing.

I assume I'm missing something basic?

Thanks much

ADDENDUM: Fixed. I had never run that mission, once I manually entered and the grid loaded, the Grind worked

I have run into a very weird issue where when it goes to target the NPC for the quest it will target them but then after about 10 or 15 seconds it will auto target a merc cleric in the zone which breaks mq2grind because my tank cannot get into the instance since they are not properly targeting the quest NPC any idea what could be causing this?

I've never seen this behavior and honestly cannot imagine what's causing it from the internals of Grind. I think someone else had experienced something like this and related to KissAssist in some way, but I'm struggling to recall it. By chance are you running KA as well?

Please send me your INI file in a private message and help me understand how I could replicate this scenario? Also if you are running KA, please send me that/those INI files as well so I can have a peek.

Thanks!

Greetings, I believe you are correct, I think I have it narrowed down to the [Tank] kissassist section. The only person I experience this on is my driver which is my SK tank, I have a feeling it has something to do with the autohate section related to ADVLOOT it mentions when kissassist loads up, but I cant fathom how to fix it. My .ini is more or less vanilla with a few minor changes here and there. I will send it to you

EDIT: for some reason I cannot start a private conversation with you

I just watched @Sic's video and this looks absolutely spectacular @hytiek! I wanted to ask if you have any plans to add missions for any of the older expansions?!? I play on a TLP and would LOVE to add this to my arsenal of automation tools! But, we're still several expansions away from EoK. Perhaps I could even lend a helping hand in such an effort...if your so inclined.

A gentleman asked me today for some TLP love. I'm looking at a few options tonight actually. If you're running Next - perhaps you'd be up for some testing? :)

I'm on Rizlona, and running Next. Would be happy to help out!

This looks really cool. Haven't tried it yet but with the new expansion, I definitely will.

Sic's video has me super excited beyond MQ2Grind, since I run a Pally as my main.

Awesome! Keep in mind that Sic was using MQ2Paladin the he and CWTN are working on, Grind was not controlling the Paladin besides pulling a mob, it does rely on something to handle the combat.

yup absolutely. I actually emphasis that in the video

I have been trying to load MQ2Grind for the past couple of days, but no luck:
MQ2 Grind Error.png

I'm pretty sure I've missed something along the way, but can't figure out what it is. I've rebooted my computer twice, Nuked all instances of MQ2 and restarted from the Launcher and still can't figure it out. Other plugins are working (AutoForage, MQ2AutoGroup, KissAssist (as a Macro), and Overseers).

Any ideas?

mq2grind is one of the premium plugins, did you purchase a license?

As stated previously, I can be a knucklehead at times in regards to MQ2. I subscribed, restarted my computer (wanted to clear ***ANYTHING*** that might give me a problem), reloaded RG Launcher and my Main toon and plugins shows this:

So I manually went over to my subscriptions and clicked the "Download" button. I extracted the file to my MQNext folder and now get this

Which step did I miss?

For all the premium plugins next licenses take 0-4 hours to sync. You can't copy past an mq2 file in next, it won't work

Got it. Thanks, Sic. I'll just check later with MQNext to see if it works. I was just curious because it sync'd with my Live, but not the MQNext.
Yes, the licenses are automatic, the Mq2 license. The server syncs the Mq2 licenses with their respective next permissions 6 times a day every 4 hours. This is temporary until there is just "Next"

I've heard there's a few people who have missed the note about needing the updated DROGAB file for Goblins and Fools mission. To save you some time:

I've been trying for the past couple of days to get into the GOBLINS AND FOOLS mission, but I keep getting this error:

I've already imported the navmesh above from hytiek (not that I think that should matter). I'm trying to run this on Live - is that my issue?
