Plugin - MQ2Eskay 3.1.52471.11

I'm having an issue today I've never noticed before. I'm running in Sic Tank mode. Bard double invised. I'll either /nav spawn xxx or I'll mouse click on the map to nav to a spot. When I get there my SK decides to buff himself dropping invis and getting agro. (Edit, just happened in manual mode also, I /nav spawn to a quest turn in. When I got to him he buffed himself dropping invis.
yes, you are in a mode with a camp.

modes with camp will break invis to do things - always has - even in the FAQ

the reason he doesn't do it while running is because you're moving - if you stopped to move it would instantly do the things it needs/wants to do

Q. How can i get it to break invis to do stuff like buff or memorize spells?
A. MQ2Eskay will break invis to do stuff if a camp is set - so mode 1/4/5/6/7/8 would break invis to do stuff like buff, where mode 0 would not.

I run MQ2Eskay for my SK in my group. I also run an Enchanter. im currently 71 and instead of using enchanter mana regen (Clairvoyance), he keeps trying to spam Pact of hate and wont do anything until i remove Clairvoyance (which is better Mana regen). Can i alter what spells and such he tries to use? or make him not use certain ones?
 
It is listed in the FAQ - You need to block the Covenant Line and Illusion on the SK. This way Enc buffs will stay.
 
Oh my bad! but thanks! i tried blocking the PoH spell, but not the illusion! that was my problem thanks alot Shadow!
 
I am not sure if something in the last update is affecting this or if it's something I did, but when I put my sk on puller tank, I get a lot of spam saying "You can't use that command while casting..."

that's not super helpful. it doesn't provide any information to help you, or even say that it is eskay

it *sounds* like you have something else do something, like a LEM or react or something --- do you have other stuff trying to do things?

but without information that might indicate what/where/how/when/why , i don't have an answer for you.
 
I haven't added anything in the past couple of days TBH. What can I provide you that would be helpful to find out where this is coming from? Or what can I do to find out

the only thing here that changed is we set your group roles (which we already did MA/MT, but now include puller when in a pulling mode). These happen pretty instantly.

you can't do group roles while casting - but would have expected it to be done before you get to a mob (and again, we already set mt/ma before, just now we also set puller role) and this would also fire off between casts or during time after fighting.

I'll add in a casting check - but keep in mind this doesn't sound for certain like your issue - because you didn't say "after combat/casting was set a group role and now it stopped"

and re: "haven't added anything in past couple of days" - weren't you talking about making reacts yesterday for shaman/bard?

okies thanks, that gives some context and something to work with. a blank "here is some output by eq" doesn't really give much

I had the same thing start happening to me. I just filtered it to the spam window
 
is there a command to disable the automatic puller setting being enabled when in a puller mode?
im tanking on a beastlord and using a rog merc atm. which rarely ports back to me in time for the fight . i understand the plugins are not designed around mercs but a way to choose if i want puller enabled is always better than a forced status.

if you're not already following the thread, I highly recommend keeping track of cwtncommons threads, it's where changes that effect all cwtn plugins are listed. The linked post mentions the new option setgrouproles which allows you to turn off this option.
 
And also it was removed from Hunter tank only puller tank which you do want your stuff to stay in camp. So if you are not patched make sure you patch

@bishopofyorkpa also - turns out im bad, and i actually removed it from pullertank and not from huntertank - patched and rebuilding now thx for the info and sorry for the derp
 
Hey guys - I just came across this issue where MQ is chain casting the Azia line. I checked the FAQ and I do have an enchanter in my group. Since the enchante buff is better mana regeneration I am trying to block the buff being called out in the MQ log but it doesnt appear to stop MQ Eskay from trying to recast it anyway.

did block both parts? outlines in the FAQ, the illusion portion also needs blocked.

did this ever get fixed? I updated to the newest version this morning and still get "you can't use that command while casting..." when in puller tank mode.

it happens every single time the plug tries to cast:

it sure did, so not sure why you're experiencing problems hah, i know why --- it still shouldn't happen while casting, but i suspect that there is an eq delay, BUT there is a reason it is spamming it for 0 reason - some wires got crossed and it was like "hey if im checking if i'm puller just make me puller" instead of "if im checking if i'm puller, make me puller if i'm not set to puller" gonna patch and rebuild now

in the mean time you can either
a: put yourself as puller, group main tank, and group main assist in the group window (the only new change here is the puller role)
b: disable setting roles /shd setgrouproles off

Feature request: "UseMelee" select-box
Serveral CWTN-Plugins have a UseMelee selectbox.
When doing events, for me it's hard to fight against mq2eskay when I try to pull the mob out of an aura while tanking.
Mq2eskay always try to run back to the mob in order to meelee, while I am trying to run backwards in order to get the mob and my team out of the destructive aura.
This leads to a kind of "rubberband" effekt, which makes it, for my feeling, unnecessary difficould, to get the mob and my team moved around.

If there would be an UseMelee checkbox, like some other plugins have, I could disable it for events where I know I will have to move the mob around and activate/deactivate melee manually.
My feeling is, this would make it easier to pull the mob around.

Use manual mode if you're going to do stuff like that.

no, if you don't want to melee you will need to pause, unload, or be in manual mode and not turn on auto attack. there are certain classes we dont and wont have usemelee for, there are other ways to achieve that. (but that doesn't appear to be what you're actually asking for, and wouldn't solve your problem.

I would suggest using bandoliers and have something that doesn't cause dmg shields to go off - like darkened cone of the mystics (you can aug it) or a lightstone/fishing rod if you are gear-poor - this also doesn't appear to be what you're actually asking for, and wouldn't solve your "usemelee" problem.

if you are in a mode that is designed and intended to move back to the mob and stick - you're going to run to the mob.

be in manual mode, and you can freely move around if you need to do that. any event i need to doing a bunch of moving i just use manual mode (or sometimes sictank).

I have tons of videos showing all of this stuff, should check em out, will help you a ton.

it might be helpful to approach "is there a way and if so how can i make what is available do the things i want" instead of "there is clearly only one solution to this problem that is something like blah

good luck and feel free to be like "hey this is what im trying to do, how can i solve that" because instead, trying to provide what you think a solution is, ends up often not getting the root of your need/want, and is very time consuming, and puts a burden to explain why the answer is "no" and then i get pms about what an insufferable asshole i am --- because those people also didn't read the sticky particularly the part about asking for help =p

If I'm using BYOS & BYOSCustom - then Dark Lord's Unity isn't called; rather each of the 7 individual spells are memm'd and cast.

This may actually make logical sense, just wasn't what I was expecting.

yep - that may or may not change, but it isn't a priority to change

it doesn't function that way for any actual intent, just design structure for original/early spell caster classes

Just to be sure that I understand mode manual right:
If I set my SK ingame to role "tank" and role "mainassist" and use mode "manual" in mq2eskay, the char will do all the tankstuff but not melee by itself?
If thats the case, I found what I was looking for.

Yes. Sort of.

It sounds like you are still misunderstanding how they function and I would encourage you to definitely check out the stuff that I mentioned to check out like the videos and the guides and the sticky.

You are not going to do things like spell casting and using combat discs without attacking the mob. So if you are asking " will I do spell casting and discs and defensive rotations and not do my auto attack" The answer to that question is no. Already addressed how to manage that with my earlier comment about using bandoliers.

This is more for my knowledge than anything, as I'm going back and getting rank 3s. As it stands, my 120 SHD is using all curent taps. However, under the lineup (when the plugin is started), it says that it is using a 110 tap for normal tap. I've unchecked pretty much all the boxes, but I can't get the 110 tap to load up. Is there something I'm missing?

the plugin loading says what spells it "knows about to use", there are some other spells that we don't load up in the spell bar (as you can see by there being a LOT of spells, but only 13 gems), but would still be used if it was byos/byos-custom'd

Nah, that's what it was. I figured it was that but I wasn't sure.
 
I have a new Level 100 heroic SK that will not stop casting Falhoteps's Convenent on himself. What can I do to make him stop MQ2Necro is what I have running and he is real full of himself right now. What to do What to do?? Never had this issue before today and I have played this toon using CWTN Plugins and he is really driving me nuts. :confused:
 
Read the message and see what is blocking his buff, then block that spell.
