Anyway to make it pull using pet ? Reasoning is dozens of named have stupid snare/root type of abilities the second you pull them and can cause the tank to die while pulling and pulling with a pet solves this.

nope, and we have no plans on doing pet pulling at all. use huntertank mode if you are in an area with mobs that root/stun

a kernelbase crash could be all sorts of things, likely unrelated to mq2eskay.
you can pm me the .dmp file if you would like for me to take a look at it - keep in mind there may be personal information in the dmp file like character names and server information.

the dmp file would be in your release -> logs folder

re: dark lord's unity. that depends. either
a: you have checkforstuckgems on and are manually casting something which the stuckgems then fires off dark lords and then interrupts it, or
b: you have something overwriting and getting in a fight with your dark lord's buffs (likely regen issue from your enchanter overwriting it)

from the FAQ:
Q. I appear to be chain casting Azia/Beza?
A. Do you have an enchanter on you? you likely have an issue that MacroQuest is reporting to mq2eskay that, despite having voice of sagacity, that you still need covenant. You should decide which one you want and add the other one to your blocked buffs.

There are a few of these buffs that eq/mq2 reports stack that do not, or will chain overwrite other buffs and you get into a buffing contest with another toon. You either have this situation or some other issues. I would suggest checking for the red error text that eq gives you to tell you WHY it didn't successfully take hold and then go from there. You can block anything you don't want cast. This is a built-in EverQuest feature - right-click on the buff and "add this spell to list of blocked spells" or go through the eq menu -> character -> blocked buffs

EQ Menu -> Character -> Blocked Buffs
EQ Menu -> Character -> Blocked Pet Buffs (to add to anyone's pet blocked spells)

That's the problem only text pop on my SK but the rest of my account and toon don't happen
only on sk. Also i never had a problem with enc and sk buff until this kernebel thing hit. when I log in normal without reguide have no problem.. only with redguid sk

the kernelbase crash still is highly possibly unrelated to mq2eskay, but if you wanted me to take a peak at it you could send it over.

Hmm. If I enable AutoRemoveIllusion, or if I manually remove Icebone Skeleton form, Eskay will keep casting Azia over and over.

I see a number of other's have brought this up above. It started at the same time the voice of sagacity / covenant conflict started.

Right now, the only fix (assuming I don't want to always be a skeleton, and I do want Voice) is to block skeleton illusion and covenant spells?

Edit: This doesn't work. I added Syl`Tor Coveneant to blocked spells, and now Eskay is chain casting it.

From the FAQ:
Q. I spam memorize my mana conversion / skeleton illusion spell?
A. You probably have auto remove illusion turned on, but don't actually have the illusion from this spell added to your blocked buffs. This will make you want to recast the spell. If you don't want to re-cast the spell to get the illusion, you will want to add it to your blocked buffs.

Blocking covenant results in chain casting covenant.

well, you should be blocking the illusion if you don't want the illusion - "but don't actually have the illusion from this spell added to your blocked buffs. " the form is usually "Icebone Skeletal Form"

if you don't have a reason to block covenant, like having an enchanter, then you shouldn't block covenant

do you have an enchanter?

Yes, I have a chanter.
I guess the takeaway is that, in order to use Voice, if you have a chanter, you must block both covenant and skeleton form. If it sees the illusion missing, it will keep casting covenant or Azia.

yup, because the check for the AA usage says "am i missing this buff or any of the buffs this buff casts" in this case covenant casts skeletal form.
so if you don't want skeletal form and you don't want covenant, you need to block them both
hope that answers for ya

Thanks to this program and others like it I am still about to play eq after hand surgery

Will this plugin use the Bash ability? I have noticed the Bash button never getting used. Improved Bash is maxxed out and the stun on mobs is nice when it procs. I turned Disarm off hoping it would use Bash instead, but it doesnt. Is there something I can do to make him bash or is that not part of the plugin?

It does

but it appears we did cleanup a month ago that broke it while using a 2 hander

I'll update that, thanks for pointing it out

Just encountered a situation that has me a bit puzzled. Running a few characters through The Trial of Eternal Cyclone. All characters are 115, so this really shouldn't be much of a deal, but it's my first time using this plugin on the driver. Have a pair of pet classes up top with the other four (including SK) down on the ground. Driving SK is in Hunter Tank mode with the other three in chase. All mounted. Pulling is set up with a radius of 250 and z axis at 25 each. The boss up top (Disappointed Heart's Torrent) is in the PullIgnore list.

When the event is started and the boss spawns, the SK immediately starts charging up the ramp to go after it. Nothing I do will get it out of doing so other than changing modes. Even setting ZHigh to 5 doesn't get it to ignore the boss. Is there something about Hunter Tank mode that doesn't bother with the ignore list? That's not been my experience, but I'm not an expert in the modes. It's a head-scratcher for me.

probably camp overlap buffer or the mob is on xtarget.

probably hitting a team mate that is within that overlap buffer and protecting a team mate.

should consider using manual mode and targeting what you want or splitting into 2 groups - otherwise you're going to run into things like this

to be clear - the pull ignore is ignore pulling the mob - not "ignore this mob if it is on xtarget and attacking my group" we absolutely will fight stuff on our xtarget that is in our camp settings (including camp overlap buffer for non puller toons)

Interesting. I should have also mentioned they are in two groups, but it is set up in a raid. Hmm. Ok. That explains it. Thanks.

when you're in a raid, things will populate XTarget for everyone in a raid. So that doesn't really change the situation any. When you add something to ignore, it only means don't try to pull it. But if you already have aggro, then the plugin will defend itself. The alternative would be to just stand there and eat a death.

I just got this plugin, (day before the servers went down) and I have to say its freaking amazing! I've had one issue though, when I set it to "remove illusions" it will remove the skelly illusion with my "eat my toenails for mana" spells, but then sit down, remmem it, cast it again, remove the illusion, then remmem, recast, remove, recast, remove recast removereccastremoverecastremvoverecast etc. like it thinks its going something. To "fix" this I've had to just accept that i'll look like skelly forever.
It was suggested that I can add the illusion to a blocked buff list...but If the program is looking for the illusion and doesnst find it, wont it just sit and retry the spell over and over again?

Thank you! its overall amazing! Only things i've tried so far are manual mode, and puller tank mode....I was trying to find some mode that allowed my Merc to tank (he has 500ac and 4k hps more than me still) but my SK steals aggro so easily I just gave up and swapped to a melee dps pet and accepted that i'm now tank =)

Deltin, the program will skip checking on the illusion part of the buff if it is on your blocked spell list. As long as the illusion and buff portion are separate buffs I believe.

Minor Correction, while you're not wrong, anything on blocked buffs will be ignored for the sake of buffing. So if you have no desire to receive a buff from a MQ2Cleric box, you can block that buff and they won't cast it on you anymore for example. All the plugins check every buff to see if it's blocked before trying to give the buff to a player running MQ2CWTNBuffs (Which is automatically loaded when you run the class plugin)

howdy Deltin,

grats on being a tank!

not, it won't just sit and retry if you block the illusion part. if you don't have the illusion part blocked, we assume that you want it - so if you're missing it we're going to recast it. so if you turn on "auto remove illusion" you're going to remove it, but since its not blocked, we're going to recast it.

it is one of the items in the FAQ

from the FAQ:

A. You probably have auto remove illusion turned on, but don't actually have the illusion from this spell added to your blocked buffs. This will make you want to recast the spell. If you don't want to re-cast the spell to get the illusion, you will want to add it to your blocked buffs.

Definitely take some time and review over the > Getting Started with the CWTN Plugins <

TLP - Riz; My SK used to lifetap constantly and now does not lifetap at all. Touch of Innoruuk and Touch of Volatis are loaded by the plugin. I haven't made any changes to my toggles (UseLifeTap is turned on) and I don't have BYOS turned on. My SK is marked as MA for my group and in Sic Tank Mode. I've tried other modes, same results. I updated VV and the mq2eskay plugin and restarted to no avail. Anyone else experiencing this? Any help is appreciated.

hrm, nothing was changed to lifetaps (meaning recently heh)

ma/mode don't matter - in fact, byos don't even matter - for the purposes of lifetaps specifically, it can be any lifetaps, even ones that the plugin doesn't report you.

I did find the issue, however. fixed a bug and made another one, this was my fault, sorry Klaw

Im playing on an EMU server, I have the AAs for Encroaching Darkness, Explosion of Hatred, Explosion of Spite. How do I get MQ2Eskay to use these AA?
I would like Explosion of Hatred/Spite to be used in AOE scenarios.
I have UseAASnare turned on and its not using Encroaching Darkness. Is it related to being on the build from April?

Its near impossible to say for emu, as emu's vary wildly and widely, they're not *directly* supported (meaning the cwtn plugins) for this reason.

We do use enroaching darkness, explosion of hatred, and explosion of spite in mq2eskay.

encroaching checks the target isn't named, you have useaasnare turned on, you have the ability and it isn't ready, and the target doesn't already have encroaching/entombing darkness. so if any of those fail or error out, it wouldn't use it

for hatred/spite we use it if you are tanking (meaning if you are assigned as main tank or in a tanking mode) and your number of xtargets is greater than or equal to your AoECount (as well as the number of xtargets is the same as in range of the AA usage). again these both check if you have the alt ability and if it is ready - so if for any reason on your emu those would report incorrectly, it wouldn't use it.

these functions to check for your AAs are the exact same functions for checking all your other aa abilities and usage

The server I'm on does have several out of era AA's available. Each of the AA uses the same alt activate ID that they normally would use so I'm not sure why it isn't working. It's a pretty great plugin even if it won't use these AA for me so I guess I will just enjoy what aspects of it work correctly for me

I have now had multiple situations where mobs well inside my camp radius on a flat floor are not being pulled. I know that the command: /shd debugpull on once is available, but it has yet to help me figure out why the mobs are not being pulled. It outputs every mob in the zone and when you are in a zone with a hundred trash mobs with the same name, it is impossible to figure out mine. Would it be possible to add a /shd debugpull target once command? Thanks!

I'm having this exact same problem. Was there ever a resolution?

My specific issue is that I am in a mostly flat room that is roughly 800x800, My puller will not pull mobs on the other side of the room. If I move my camp to different corners all mobs are pulled at some point. I am able to navigate to mobs that aren't being pulled using /nav target, so I'm assuming it's not a pathing issue? I set the radius and zradius to overly large numbers so I'm pretty sure that isn't the issue.

When I use /shd debugpull on once the list is too long to see the beginning in order to troubleshoot. Is there any way to shorten the list or dump it to a file?

what zone are you in?

there isn't, make sure you use the "once" and then scroll up to see the mob that you would expect, it only spits out like 50.

cwtn said:
Also, the debug starts with you/your group members/auras etc, then the first NPC you see is the nearest mob by radial distance and it expands outwards. So do the debug and go to the top of the list.

reasons for not pulling:
waiting for groupwatch
waiting for snare/sickness etc
group member corpse within 100
mob on ignore
still thinks you're fighitng something - mobs on xtarget
mob is wrongspawntype (untargetable or not npc)
mob outside near people outside your group
mob outside of your pull settings (level, radius, zradius, arc)
mob has a title under their name / we think they're a quest mob etc
mob doesn't have a valid name (3 or less characters - or starts with a "_"
we try and handle for people using mq2headshot which modifies mob names, do you have mq2headshot loaded?
we don't pull mobs that have non-group PCs nearby (like they're pulling / fighting)
you're waiting on something else in your regular routine

the debug output is the correct thing to determine what is the reason

re: your settings being "overly large numbers" you should set them to appropriate numbers. increasing your settings over what you're trying to use isn't going to help with anything. even if you have to path outside of your radius/arc, but the mob is inside your radius/zradius and meets all your other criteria, you will still pull it.

yeah exactly - if your emu is some some special-sauce kind of way of doing things, adding their own abilities, or something outside of how the game normally registers those things - this is exactly what we mean about emu's widely and wildly varying and it is a pretty tall order to try and code for all of those unknown and special things

what zone are you in?

I'm in Argath, Bastion of Illdaera

I'm seeing at least 200 entries in the output for /shd debugpull on once and the rest scrolls off. As I understand it, they are displayed in order of distance from the puller, so my group should be at the beginning of the list. I can't see any of my group members in the output.

I don't usually have it that large I just wanted to make sure the mobs weren't being excluded due to radius
