Sic/CWTN got a noobie question for ya'll...I'm leveling up an Enchanter FTP...so far been doing great reached 79...except for the annoying fact that it won't let me switch Aura1 out of Mana Aura...and Aura2 is stuck in learner's aura...i'd like to be able to flip those...but since I don't have the second aura aa right now it won't let me...any tips I've tried. /Enc aura 1 1 and /enc aura 1 learners and I keep getting a message that reads:

1. Aura1 and Aura2 cannot be the same.

Note: i will eventually pop a krono on this enchanter at 110 but till then i'd like to be able to get the exp bonus instead of the mana aura...

uh - did you try changing your aura2 so it wasn't learners? so then you can change aura 1 to learners?

the messaging is telling you they can't be the same

what is preventing you from changing 2?

Yup, see my post above that worked. Just had to work my way down the whole list until one took. I think the enchater is too low level still so I don't have all of the ones on the list. But at 79 another other one was available, then it let me flip them

Issue is still unresolved after the changes were made. If more changes need to made let me hear them so i can give it a shot.
Also the only other programs that are open besides EQ is the Red Guides launcher and EQBCS

ive noticed this occasionally over the past week also :-/ FPS set to 70 (ish). I have started having the enchanter (s) melee to overcome it. I noticed it by watching agro meter, and seeing the chanters staying blank, pop over and they are daydreaming in the spellbook

This is exactly what is happening I will try to add Melee to the mix and see if that helps

Here are my setting and what the outputs are for MQ2Enchanter when the issues are happening

please don't post images that have your character information in them - i deleted that pic for you.

well, the background fps is an important part - but if your computer resources are getting pegged, or other reasons why that background process doesn't get the information and instructions it needs - you could have had your fps set to infinity, but you're going to continue to have that problem.

imo you're taxing your boxes unnecessarily with some of the settings you have in that image, like sky updates etc

I would suggest ensuring your computer setup isn't overloaded, perhaps look into mq2eqwire, maybe ensuring you have set up optimizations in your eqclient.ini like setting all cpuaffinity entries to "-1"

ensuring you change all instances of cpuaffinity to `=-1` in your eqclient.ini is very important.

for 6 concurrent toons it would look like like with 0-5 (6 total) entries all set to `-1`

cpuaffinity0=-1
cpuaffinity1=-1
cpuaffinity2=-1
cpuaffinity3=-1
cpuaffinity4=-1
cpuaffinity5=-1

There have been no changes to our spell book checks since December, and all the classes that use a spellbook call the exact same library function for it.

I'm curious if you logged that toon in a different order than you do now, if you end up with another character having the issue instead - meaning that you have one of your instances that isn't getting the resources it needs to properly get/receive information/instructions

in the mean time /enc usemelee will force you to melee assist, which would kick you out of the book wether we can see the book or not

So I have an Azure Mind Crystal V(5) and a Sanguine Mind Crystal IV(4) sitting in my inventory. My Enchanter continually keeps trying to summon a new one since I advanced the AA, and it's trying to cast both Azure and Sanguine Mind Crystal VI(6), but it says duplicate Lore Items not allowed and just continually keeps trying to cast. I can certainly delete the items and everything is honky dory. Posting here in the event you would consider adding logic to check for prior versions of these summonable items when it decides if it should cast it.

without creating and storing a list of the items itself, we currently don't have a way of checking "do we have another item from this lore group", but its something we've been talking about, especially when it comes to items like modrods with the up-and-coming mq2mage

I'm assuming you had the lower lvl ones, and then you got a new rank of your AA?

Question about Mezing

My Enchanter on the Test server is Lvl 94. At this level the Plugin mem's Soporific Stare (Targeted AE Mez good up to level 93 creatures) and Chaotic Confusion (Single target Mez good up to level 98 creatures).

Everything is fine as far as operation as long as I don't pull multiples of Level 94+ mobs. If I pull say 3 or 4 lvl 94s, the Enchanter will debuff and attack fine, but will not attempt to mez the mobs at all. I've looked through the logs and the plugin output on multiple groups.

I'm just wondering if the logic is set up such that since we have 4 mobs, use the AE Mez. And since the AE Mez won't work on the 94s, to just skip any kind of mez?

are you using automezimmune? if so, they're probably being added to your mez immune list

each mez and mez type is level checked independently, but if you have them auto ignoring, they're prolly ignored, and thus skipped

[Coldblooded]

Automezimmune was turned on - dang it! Thanks for the information!

Redbot updated MQ2Enchanter with a new update entry:

6/13/2021

- We will no longer try and Boon of the Garou raid members who are not in our group.
- We will no longer pester you about your epic 1.5/2.0 as we don't automagically use it anyhow.
- Enchanter will now opt to use Chromanuke instead of spamming Breathing DoT if the dmg from the nuke
-- of ChromaNuke is higher than the Breathing DoT. We will still cast the Breathing DoT line
-- to put the DoT on the target.
- Should once again only use glyph when...

Title pretty much states what im wondering about. I was curious how an enchanter on full auto with the mq2 chant would hold out in a melee heavy group of a shd /bst / zerker /shm and atm bard with kissassist as a music and auto attack bot.

does chanter stuff and does just fine.

bard is incredible amount of ADPS, like 30% group dmg increase over enchanter - but there are people who prefer using enchanter - and mq2enchanter does just fine

[rangnoc11]

Yeah wasnt sure if i'd get more out of the enchanter the way i use the bard in a melee heavy group. Anywho stuff to think about while i finish leveling out the group i guess =D thanks for the quick reply!

Would it be possible to get "GHBuffBot" added to MQ2Enchanter? I noticed shaman/cleric have it but enc did not.

eventually, not at this time.

edit: ok maybe sooner than later. I needed to migrate and adjust several functions to the library and genericify them so we don't have a bunch of repeated code everywhere, but...

Awesome.

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but my enchanter will no longer mez mobs. I'm on Riz and I'm hunting in Crypt of Decay. I pull 3 or 4 mobs and my chanter just will not mez. He will tash, nuke, and dot, but not mez the adds. My tank is listed as the MA. There aren't extra entries on my chanter's xtar list and he's in Assist mode. UseMez is turned on as is InterruptForMez. AutoMezImmune is off and there is nothing in his mezimmune list for this zone. I have updated via the RG launcher app and reinstalled my Mq2Enchanter plugin. I've loaded and unloaded the plugin and unloaded MQ2 and reloaded it. It's probably something simple I'm missing. Any help troubleshooting this would be appreciated. Thank you.

are you having los issues or other mesh issues?

are the mobs higher lvl than your mez allows for?

try toggling off tashthenmez, you might be having mobs that is waiting to get tashed that disappeared or somesuch like if you're split pulling

if it has *never* done it, its possible the mobs in there have unusual idle animations (which is unlikely, but possible)

I didn't think about the mesh. I'll try reloading it. I did run the mesh updater recently, so they are current. I'll try toggling tashthenmez too. Mobs are definitely mezzable and are within the level range as Bliss mezzes up to level 68 and these are lvl 63 at most. Will let you know how it goes when I have a chance to try it again. Thank you.

It may indeed be a nav mesh thing specific to Crypt of Decay. I moved to Bastion of Thunder and he started mezzing again w/o issue. As I have already run the mesh updater and I know mq2nav is loaded and working across my toons, is there something I can/need to do to make this work in Crypt of Decay?

not your day today, like your other issue earlier, I can't replicate this on multiple enchanters, but i'll keep messing with it.

I did have to update mq2mage because of how we were checking the unity AA (which happens to be how enchanter is checking it) because it would spam re-cast. so I'll update enchanter to check the other way - functionally there should be no difference, as it would just get the 470 from the aa, instead of each individually - but it was an adjustment that had to be made on mq2mage, so its possible due to some other reason that i can't replicate on multiple enchanters, that it needs to be checked this way instead of that way.

[Atheos32]

I did have a problem with EQBC so maybe that was causing the issue.

[Kakgumu]

My Chanter is level 85 and on one of the TLP servers. Here is a snapshot of my plugin settings for reference:

UseNuke is selected, yet the character casts no nukes at all. Nor does the character even try to memorize any nukes. I've tried forcing the issue by pausing the macro and then manually memorizing a couple nukes. As soon as I take pause off the character, he goes and memorizes a couple DoTs...even though UseDoT is unselected.

I'll also note that NukeManaMin is set to the default value of 60 and in all my observations the character is at or very near 100% mana (always over 95%).

Please let me know if I can provide additional details or provide more feedback.

please post your mq2enchanter questions in the mq2enchanter thread.

I have some low/midlvl gem adjustments coming next update - but can you show what gems it is memorizing.

at 85 you should (or will) have at least polychaotic assault and mindslash memorized.

the nuke's we're using in mq2enchanter are the Synergy spell group (starts 105), ChromaNuke (starts lvl 7), Appropriation (starts at lvl 96), SingleStun (one of their "Direct Damage" things but really it is a stun --- starts at lvl 9).

Enchanters don't have too many different nuke spell lines until later level - so you likely only have chromanuke as an actual "nuke" that we have. and that is likely one of the spells that i fixed with the low/mid lvl memorization

With the updates i have pending, this is roughly (depending on available spells, missing spells, and AAs) what you would have memorized at lvl 85

[Kakgumu]

@Sic, right now I show the following spells mem'd:

Din of Tashan
Whirling into the Hollow
Mystify
Docility Rk. II
Strangling Air
Desolate Deeds
Voice of Prescience Rk. II
Ward of Befuddlement Rk. II
Mind Twist Rk. II
Hastening of Erradien
Befuddling Flash
Mana Recursion

Kak

we don't memorize befuddling flash, so you can smack your chromanuke in that spot.
its also not memorizing anything in that voice of presc spot (which is one of the updates) so you can manually swap one of the spells that the plugin spits out that it uses to fill that spot as you wish.

do you not have tash AA? should have it at 85 / SoD xpac, which frees up a gem slot for chromanuke

[Kakgumu]

@Sic, ok I manually put Polychaotic Assault Rk. II in slot 11 where Befuddling Flash was and it DID begin to cast it.

As for Tash, I DO have the Bite of Tashani AA (rank 1). In fact, this char is max'd out on AA's. However, the plug in is NOT using it. It's manually casting the spell directly instead of using the AA. I have the AA hotkeyed on only of my hot bars and I'm watching it right now. Din of Tashani gets cast right after the first nuke...the spell gem gets the time out, but the AA hot key does not. Plus, the spell cast window shows "Din of Tashan" and not "Bite of Tashani I" that you get with the AA. If I manually remove Din of Tashan, the plugin re-memorizes is in Gem Slot 1.

yeah i shouldn't have asked about the tash AA thing - we actually do keep tash memorized, later on you get an AA that tash spell gives you a dmg boost to the rest of your spells
what i should have said was that i turn off use tash (the single version) and keep tashaoe turned on, which frees up that gem slot

anyhow - at your level you don't have many nukes available anyhow - with the updates i already have sent it should fix not memorizing chromanuke

thanks for the info

I seem to be having a prob mq2enc not buffing any of my casters { all group members are casters} with gift of magic
on rizlona in my low 40s. this is about 50 mana
one other deal but its with the mq2mage as for handing out weapons to all pets but will not hand them to my enc pet when i do use it. it will how ever give it to the charmed pets

enc pets come with a "weapon and shield" equipped, so we wouldn't try and give them one with mq2mage

gift of magic isn't in mq2enchanter (you end up getting it built in, so its a pretty small timeframe usage of a spell group), but i'll take a look

@Sic I've encountered a couple more issues/bugs to report. First, my setup:

86 Enchanter on a TPL server. Mode is Assist.

#1 - With 'UseNightsTerror' selected, the plugin does not mem the spell at all.

#2 - Haste does not appear to be getting buffed all the time. I just upgraded to Speed of Novak (level 86 spell). And, the spell IS getting mem'd. But none of the melee toons in group and on XTAR are getting the buff. It was previously handling Hastening of Erradien just fine.

#3 - This came up in my last bug post about Nukes and DoTs, but I didn't specifically call this out. Even with 'UseDoT' unselected, the plugin is still forcing memorization of both Strangling Air (gem 5) and Mind Twist (gem 9).

#4 - It might be worth considering adding a toggle for "UseStuns" or something similar. Currently the plugin is forcing Whirling into the Hollow into gem 2. It doesn't ever get cast...and for my particular use case, I don't really need it atm. But, there are certainly cases where it's exceptionally useful. So...it might be a good candidate for a user toggle via the settings pane, imho.

More as I run across them...

1. as i previous mentioned "I have some low/midlvl gem adjustments coming next update ", I redid some gem load-outs for the mid/lower levels... but we memorize it in gem 6 if you don't have vsynergy, and you're not memorizing slow with useslow tunred on and not having slowing helix aa. we will also memorize it in gem 7 if you don't have any of your synergy spells, and it isn't otherwise memorized.
2. We check stacking and haste speed - if eq is telling us that you can have a haste, we cast haste - for single target haste (like if your single target is greater level than group) we check only melee toons, for grouphaste we check anyone. since it is memorizing your single target haste, it is either a: because your single target haste is higher than your group haste, or b: it is specifically checking against a pet - but it is only going to memorize the spell if it if going to use it.
3 - Yes, we don't care if you have usedot on or not, you still memorize them
you can change your spell loadout with byos if you want to bring your own loadout (as mentioned in a few places, you would still need to memorize the spells that the plugin outputs that it recognizes and wants to use when the plugin loads up)
4 - I think the singlestun was a remnant that cwtn put in there - we don't actually cast it, so in the meantime, i'm going to remove it completely -

hope that answers your questions

at lvl 86 with these settings (like useslow, usetash, and usenightsterror , usecharm off etc)

this is what we will memorize (lvl 86 with mnemonic retention 4 - lvl 80 UnderFoot)

turn on usecharm so it goes in slot 2
