why does my BL constantly try to switch spells from Ikatiar's blood to Ekron's chill?? am i missing something in settings
what lvl are you - are you missing spells

also

we put chill in slot 6 and we put blood in gem 8. so i don't see how its possible.

are you sure you're not running a macro on top of mq2bst? if so, don't.

So I've noticed when my shm runs out of food he mem's the spell summon food and carries on, this isn't happening with my beastlord tho, is this something I can enable or a feature not yet implemented?

I had zero plans of adding this, but i can.

beastlords don't come out until luclin - by that point in the game its not that expensive to have food/drink etc

oh man, you know what's worst... I'm using free stat food / drink from the anniversary vendors. I just load up and it last a couple days but then I forget about it (usually until I do a quest that tells me not to eat or drink the quest item).. I was so impressed when I saw the shm feed himself after my negligence that I immediately checked the beastlord who was of course starving lol..

no problemo - already added it by the time you responded, should be in next build

Hey there! Thanks a ton for this plugin, has been a massive help for coming back to the game and getting back into the swing of things. Quick question with some strange behavior i'm seeing while running in "Puller Tank" mode. I haven't been able to nail down exactly when/what situation this occurs, but fairly frequently my BL is going to engage something in melee range, but instead of getting in range and attacking, he constantly moves forward and backward pretty quickly, making it impossible for him to cast spells. This has a negative impact on my Druid whose chasing (running KissAssist until you guys build MQ2Druid ;) ), causing him to run around a bit (and not casting spells).

Any ideas?

if you have combatsummonpet on you might be trying to move back to camp to do stuff like summon/buff your pet or put your spell gems back.

you might want to turn that off if you're tanking

That did it! Somewhat related, is there anyway to set the "StickHow" to move behind the target with my pet tanking? These riposte Sarnak's are bustin my balls haha

no there isn't - because ultimately you're "tanking"

Is there a way to stop the BST from healing its pet when in a tank mode or have it automatically reengage the mob it was fighting before changing to heal the pet? I have a cleric box in group that I want to do all of the healing. When in Sic Tank Mode or Vorpal Mode with MT role, I can manually run in an engage the mob. As soon as the pet needs a heal, the beastlord changes targets to heal the pet. I'm assuming because the BST is set as the MA, the BST never changes targets back to the mob your fighting. This results in only the pet fighting the mob unless I constantly retarget the mob I am trying to fight.

if you are in a tank mode, and the mob is inside your campradius you will retarget it

- so if you're moving around in sictank mode, you will need to do a /bst resetcamp to reset your camp to your current position if you want the plugin to target things.

vorpal is not a tanking mode, so despite being assigned as a tank to do stuff for the bst routine - its not going to get your target as its not in a tank mode.

idk if its just my files or what but even in manual mode my bst constantly casts Brutal Ferocity / Shared Brutal Ferocity

manual mode is for assisting purposes - it has nothing to do with "not casting buffs"

It's not clear what your objective is, but "/bst pause on" might be what you're after. For example: part of my "camp off" hotkey pauses all CTWN plugins for me, so I can safely move around without worrying about some dumb bot stopping to cast a buff in the middle of a pack of mobs.

If it helps, I tend to think of the modes as "what I'm doing when a mob is in camp / when there are no mobs in camp (in case of puller modes)", and pause is the "off" switch.

or you can just invis to move around.

if you are invis and don't have a camp set, you will not break it to cast stuff --- unless your ma gives you a target and the target has met your assist the ma setting.

Like in the case of a mob becoming inactive? The most recent example of this is the Unity mission, when I would be moving to the next commander (invis). The bots still wanted to "do things" because the old commander was still up and a valid target. Adding a /shortname pause on and clear target to my camp off button cleared all this mess up, no ifs, buts or special cases, and I haven't had a drama since.

if you have a mob on xtarget still, you will want to clear their target with your ma and/or target yourself (you will want switchwithma on on all of your toons).

there's no magical way for bots to know "hey we don't want to fight this mob any longer" so if you don't want them to fight it, have them untarget it.

so yup, just like you said lots of ways to accomplish things. pausing is one of them - however, pausing doesn't turn off your toons autoattack if they're autoattacking when you pause them. so if they have their autoattack on, and still targeting a mob, and you pause them, move them and then unpause them, they're going to run after the mob they think they are fighting.

thats all good an all but if i have on manual it just casts it then casts it again im not a fan of pausing cause of group wipe when i pause toons

also if you pause and do /bst missing... and scroll thru it unpauses the plugin then constant casts the spells i mentioned... kinda aggravating

so your saying it is spam casting? i was answering your question about casting in manual.

so, what spell is it getting blocked by? would be red error msgs in your eq chat, or what other buff is someone else casting to overwrite it?

what lvl are you?
what other classes are in your group?

are you saying it is casting Brutal Ferocity then casting Shared Brutal Ferocity in a loop?

Please PM me a screensnip of your mq2bst window showing that.

from the FAQ
Q. Bst is chain casting something?
A. There are a few lower lvl / mid level buffs that eq/mq2 reports stack that do not. You either have this situation or some other issues. I would suggest checking for the red error text that eq gives you to tell you WHY it didn't successfully take hold and then go from there. You can block anything you don't want cast. This is a built-in everquest feature - right click on the buff and "add this spell to list of blocked spells" or go through the eq menu -> character -> blocked buffs

I'm also running into this issue, it does get blocked by symbol of celerity, but even after you unclick them to allow it to land it continues to cast astounding velocity until completely out of mana. so regardless it shouldnt be doing this.

Feature Request: Would love to see a CheckBox for 'UseStick' added & settings be sorted alphabetically.

I really wish there was a control measure on nukes like there is for dots (unless I'm just not seeing it) because you spam nukes which leaves you running at 1% mana through exp grinds.

Running with Burn Always on?

Only time my beast drops below 70% mana is when the main burn routine fires

there isn't a nukemanamin for bst and there is no intention to have one. if you're fighting your're fighting. - there is the for dots because they're so mana intensive and might not get full use out of them depending on mob health and fight time, but we're not going to be in combat and not use our resources to do our fighting - if you don't want to be fighting, take a med break. otherwise you have a "mana min" that might as well be the new zero

I just started two BST to add to my other BST. In the config settings there are many settings for all my toons except for the two new ones. They are both lvl 104, and there is no config settings with their name on it. Am I missing something other than the settings?

I don't understand your question.

When you load the plugin for the first time it creates the ini for that toon it would be mq2bst_toonname.ini.

other than stick settings there's no reason to go into the ini directly.

I am sorry I should have explained myself better. All my other toons have a file called MQ2Forage_(toon name)_drinal. Except for the two new ones there is no listing for them

that has nothing to do with mq2bst.

mq2bst ini files are mq2bst_toonname.ini

> HERE < is mq2autoforage thread
which now mq2autoforage will just use a global ini if you don't already have one for an individual toon per the updates
Support per server INI files to reduce the management of multiple per character INI files. If the MQ2Forage_.ini exists it will continue to use that. Otherwise it will create and use MQ2Forage.ini

Very minor and I'm still setting up my beastlord for this so this might just be something I don't know yet, but it doesn't seem to recognize Hiatus as being in the EndRegen group.

I'm a big fan of mq2zerk and very excited to get this up and running!
