Im having an issue where the toon casts focus of artikla over and over (and over) again on my cleric until his mana is exhausted. Any advice on whats going on or more importantly what i can do to resolve? I did check and the cleric doesnt have it blocked. Thanks much.

a wild guess - I'm guessing the cleric is 115, and the bst is 1 tier behind? like 110, or two tiers at 105

there are still a couple of very 1-off instances where all the checks we do for buff stacking says you can have the buff tho you cant.

you can do 1 of two things for this issue specifically.

either block the cleric self armor line (on the cleric) or block the focus line (on the cleric)

the other option is to turn off bst casting focus /bst usefocus off

once you get your bst to same lvl as your cleric this issue goes away automagically

you can use slash commands to save to the ini

the ui window is a "toggle window" it doesn't save your settings

Hey Sic,

Thanks for the reply. When I first installed MQ2BST, the BST was level 110. Then I PL'd him to 115 using a different PC that didnt have the plugin installed so maybe I should just try uninstalling and reinstalling to see if that helps. If that doesnt do it, Ill try your other suggestions. Thx again for the input and take care.

that means you are trying to load a version that doesn't match

that error is saying that the .dll for the plugin and the .dll for the mq2 version do not match.

I would recommend ensuring you're patching with the launcher, and not trying to copy files around manually

Looks like You downloaded Very Vanilla for EMU yesterday, but you downloaded MQ2Bst/Cleric prior to that.
A couple of things to note here.

EMU should come with my plugins. There is no requirement to download them. The download you get from the forums is for Live only. All other version of MQ2 are shipped with the plugins and should not be downloaded and input using any method at all, since it should already be there.

This applies to Test and EMU.

Live builds of MQ2 VV do require that you download the plugin through the launcher and it is not part of Very Vanilla(Live)

yes we know about this particular item - it is because the buff the item gives is not the buff it says it gives

we have no work around for it at this time - at least without just hard coding a check against this individual item - so you won't be able to use this wand with any of the cwtn plugins

U could ass add it as an addclicky.

It specifically doesn't auto use it because there is debate that it does or does not cause another proc/stun roll to not occur. The dps addition is very low at 115, and if it does cause proc and/or stun to get blocked it isn't worth it, imo.

But u could add it to offensive clicky

what lvl is your beastlord? It does talatak already - which you get at 79. I originally didn't have in SoW shrew etc because of og mq2 buff stacking issues

sk does not have any build in bandolier swapping. Folks have very different opinions when they want to swap - you can use > TankBandoSwap < and edit it to customize when you want to swap or perhaps mq2react so you can accomodate exactly how/when you want to swap those bando sets

for mq2bst it is explained in the mq2bst video @ 7:40 and in the FAQ

Q. What is BandoSwap?
A. BandoSwap will check your bandolier sets for a 1h or h2h set (or combo of those), and check if you have a 2h set (it goes top to bottom in the list, no need to name it specifically).
When you are outside of "Vindication" you will keep using your 1h/h2h set, but during Vindication you will swap to 2h set for those sweet extra melee hits. (You need AutoSwap turned on)

it checks your bandolier sets when the plugin loads - so if you didn't have them setup, and then set them up, you will want to reload the plugin - but it doesn't require anything fancy setup. if you have both a 1h/h2h and a 2h setup in your bandolier sets, and you have usebandoswap turned on, any time you are in combat it will swap to your 2h if you have vindication and you don't have your 2h set equipped - and if you don't have vindication it will swap to your 1h/h2h set if you don't have that equipped

awsome plugin like it i bough eskay first then see what it was, damm changed my eq life haha, now own eskay,clr,bst,and zerker haha cant wait to see mq2Mage and Mq2Bard wish anytime soon! awsome work guys on all, wich eskay have a switchbandolier to use shield once you get first 10-15% on regular mob, then switch with 2h to finish it, or keep shield if you get over 3 mobs at same time or use shield only on named something like that haha. anyway probly not the only one who asking that. another little thing for newb like me who forget fast the thing adding color on pulling window radious etc mean for arc use blue, radious green etc so we know wich circle = to witch number, you know what i mean? but like a said only a little thing. and btw OMG the arc angle! wow nice job on that like it so much!

1. its intended for beastlord. sounds like you need to adjust your pulling settings - has nothing to do with not having a spell to pull with.
--- you can /bst debugpull on once and get spit out of why you didn't pull a mob - you probably don't have your zradius set properly

I don't personally condone afk play, and don't do it myself. These plugins are meant to assist your group, but should be used in a way that other mercs are. Sure they have more features that allows you to afk more efficiently, but that also means using them afk gets what it gets.

If I had to choose between afking while I ran to the store real quick and starting over from scratch or stopping my group and moving to a safe location and pausing all plugins/macros, I'd pick moving to a safe location every time. Because starting over is rough, expensive, and overall not worth the effort of that 15 minutes of "free" exp.

Since then we've learned to change the color of "Say echo" to something different than the other one and filter /say to it's own tab and keep that tab visible. As long as you're at the keyboard and paying attention should be easy enough to notice it.

attack of warder - just for swarm pet? i can add a toggle as we end up doing that for swarm stuff

for maelstrom - you only use maelstrom of claws if you have useaoe turned on and your number of xtargets is greater than your aoecount- otherwise you use focused clamor of claws (since dbg doesn't bother to give us updated abilities)

My crew is level 62 now. My beast is constantly oom because she spams Blizzard all the time. At what level will this get better? She cant keep up with buffing my two Zerkers with sweet ATK buffs, wich whould probably result to more overall dps. Unlike DOTs there is no min-mana setting.
But maybe you tell me that changes with level 65+ or 70+. If this takes a while until it balances with beeing able to keep up the good stuff on the rest of the crew, i might be better off with a manual set of spellgems?

Blizzard? as in blizzard blast the time 7 Lance1 set? Well, that's one of your main nukes. so if you're in combat and you have mana to use the spells its setup to use, its gonna use it - You'd probably be best using BYOS and using your own loadout if you don't want it to do some of their abilities.

beast lords are mana hungry - life gets much better when you start getting your AAs and EQ fleshes out how the character operates - which is a bit higher (you get Focused Paragon and other class stuff in SoF tier lvl 78ish). imo, eq was kind of wishy-washy with how they wanted some classes to operate until the 85ish and the cookie-cutter upgrades start

Request: I noticed that if your soloing in hunter tank mode with a merc healer and you get an add on you, the the plugin will not have pet get agro or have bst slow new add. Instead the add gets on healer, he dies then generally its over. Is there a way for you to add something that checks for adds in the area that are not mezzed and if bst is tank. have him get agro/slow them? I do have slow all on yet he didnt seem to slow adds in tank mode.

howdy num1pk,

we don't do any willy-nilly target swapping in any of the plugins and don't have any plans to. you're not locked to a target, so if you feel the need to swap to another target instead of the one you pick up, you can do so without being forced back.

re: slow - this is addressed in the video and in the FAQ - we don't target swap to slow everything, slowall just means "slow all the mobs we're fighting" so when it's your target you will slow it.

Q. Slow All doesn't slow all?!
A. Slow all doesn't cycle your xtarget to slow all, its just to "slow all mobs we're fighting"

Hi there, great work Sic and CWTN, I love the plugin. I used it for the first time last night.

However I did encounter an odd issue. I thought it must be my naivety to begin with, so joined the discord to enquire in there, however a couple of the guys who also used it managed to encounter the same issue so they told me to post it here.

So I decided to test it out in my little group. I run a NEC (as my main, totally manual, no macros' and well MQ2Nec not made yet) a CLR merc, a Wiz/Enc/Mag all using Kissassist, and finally the BST, running MQ2Bst.

I run the show entirely from my NEC, and use the NEC's Pet to tank. I've set the NEC as MA/MT & Puller in EQ Group Roles.

I issue the command /BST mode 1 to set the BST to ASSIST mode, and start the mac on the caster kiss team, and run off to pull.

Grab mob, reenter camp, send in pet, caster team launch into action ... BST sits there filing her nails.... nothing!

I then kept changing her modes via the cmd line, /BST mode assist ... reset to /BST mode 0 then to 1 again but no no avail..

if i reset the mode via the UI to either assist or to chase, she immediately bursts into action, but only for that pull. during rest she sits, and then doesnt get back up for the next pull while assist is set in the UI.

If i set the mode via the UI to chase, she works perfectly, however then follows me around like a lost puppy while im trying to pull/split mobs. although she doesnt engage till the specified 95%, shes annoying and in the way, and also looks a little suspect to MQ haters that might be watching me.

I did notice something odd though, seen as I'm a necro, and i dont melee the mobs (my pet does) i tried something to see if it would work. If my NEC melee's the mob, or even 'cuddles' the mob in camp, without even pressing autoattack, the BST springs into action. so its like shes waiting for me to engage the mob before she will... again this is all in assist mode.

I know i probably have an abnormal group setup with no designated tank aside pets, but seen as my nec is my main, and I love the dps output of my caster team, maybe its not designed to work as im attempting?

Anyways appreciate your thoughts, or comments ...

To expand on the why of it.

You can set your toons to assist at 100, if it's set to 100 and you have a larger camp size, and the tank has returned to the camp, it's the intent of the plugin to engage once the MA has engaged, and not to try to offtank anything that comes into the camp. Due to variances in location where each characters camp is set, it's possible (and still happens occasionally) that the mob is in the camp of the assist toon, but not in the camp of the MA. which would cause you to enter combat prematurely and the tank never engage at all. Which likely would result in the death of your assist toon, while your tank stands buy /laughing at the assist toon.

A lot of the logic for the plugins has been created with the understanding that people would use a tank to tank, and a pet to do DPS, and a Bard/Enchanter to do crowd control things and a healer to do the healing.
I can't say that I foresee myself changing the way this operates, and if I do on account of people tanking with casters or their pets, it's not going to be anytime soon.

Being as you're wanting to tank with the pet, I suggest trying a tank mode for the bst. This will mean that the pet will likely turn on taunt. But at least it will hit things.
