MQ2Bst

Plugin - MQ2Bst 3.1.52471.11

BSt is a mana beast. so ez on a low mana level.
I had met the same paparon issue before undate the lastest version.
Now, it look better all of paparon and focus ppr all have tried to use.

I just follow the inform of SIC as below:
1. /bcga mq2kissbuffs load
2. use lastest mq2bst.

hope it is avilable for anyone.

yeah the functionality is literally the same regardless of lvl rank etc - its gonna check everyone against the settings, and then cast it if it stacks (they have to be in the kissbuffs file)

the verrsions before defintely had some issues - but the updates fixed that up.

not sure why on one of your beasts it would be working and not on another.

HI SIC .
could you explain how to correct use alliance?
EX: BST X3 for a alliance~~
what's right set for them ?
1. all bst set the alliance & focus on?
or
2. just set 1 bst set the alliance & focus on?
thanks

Hello Sic, Chat

I downloaded the plugin a couple of nights ago my bst was silver at the time with rank 2 purchased at first he was spamming ally’s unity over and over like the above guy had posted about I clicked the rank 2 spells box and he stopped. My issue is a little different I have rank 3 shared merciless ferocity so he continually spams that while silver. I did use a krono to go gold and that fixed the issue and he runs perfectly. Is there any work around for my rank 3 issue I’d like to let him go back to silver at some point.

yeah we have a fix for that weird issue next patch, it'll fix it up

I have to spam either of my Feign Deaths to make them work in tank mode. So If I am fighting a tough named and I can't squeeze in a feign my groups basically dead. It seems it just has to be squeezed in between mq2bst's commands as they are being executed. I've tried stop cast macro's keyboard macros tying in stopaction hotkeys with no luck. Is there a work around for this? It's not just feign it's anything even the /bst pause command.

Can we get an toggle for sha's in puller mode I absolutely hate it, it still routinely gets me killed. I don't afk play I am very against afk play. I can make you a video if need be to show you how shas likes to kill me. Thanks guys.

this is not working for me....works fine on monk, war and zerker though
hrm. the only difference between say zerker and bst code for glyph is bst will do dragonscale if you are ma or mt, and destruction otherwise (zerker we also check against savage spirit) - but other than that they are the same.

EDIT: wait, are glyphs ALL ACCESS ONLY? That would be it then :) AKA cant spend any AA

think it is something with aaspend, i have /aaspend brute on but

Having some mana problems with my beast. Pretty much since I've had the plugin actually. He's decently geared for his level (111 w/ AAs) with group gear from EoK. He's basically oom for days until my tank stops pulling 'cause the healer is low on mana. I know they're crazy mana hungry but I read a post from Sic saying he never really got below 80ish or something. Group is: SK, zerk, cleric, bst, bard, wiz.

Here are my settings. Any ideas?

bsts are mana hungry. we have considerations for their dot usage to minimize that - but they are still hungry.

you could bump up your focused paragon mana and your paragon mana threshold so it uses it sooner and more likely on you.

if you don't have paragon and focused paragon maxed for your lvl i would suggest it. same with makeing sure you click on all of your jewlery for your mana regen and focus and all that fun stuff.

when i recently did the rounds with a couple lower lvls to 110/115 the only time i had mana troubles was after nameds and not taking a med break to catch up (because we still manadump on named)) and if group member died and was hogging the juice

when i was 110 in tovt1 gear grinding a few aa - i could do perma non-stop as usual

edit: i lied he is using it just very, VERY rarely. In the last 10 min I've seen focused paragon used once, consume spirit a few times, and paragon never.

Think I figured out what the issue is. Toon is not using focused paragon or paragon. Just watched him burn through his manapool in a few pulls but never popped either ability. /bst showsettings says it's on though.

Redbot updated MQ2Bst with a new update entry:

updated

- Split the timer 16 and timer 10 PetBlocks into their own line.
- Adjusted our mainburn to only fire if we're in a burn condition if we don't have Fury (Ruubari's etc).
-- this sounds obvious, but normally we burn these while under the effects of Fury.
-- this corrects an issue where you don't have Fury.
- Added some extra spells to mem if you're outside of "modern era".

Read the rest of this update entry...

So, I am a new user for MQ2BST and playing with it on Ragefire with a level 80 cap. On my maiden voyage, I had some strange things happening and was wondering what was going on. It works wonderfully prepping for battle and in battle as far as I can tell, but when the fight is over, the bst just stands where he was fighting the mob and does not return to his camp spot and sit down. If I manually move him close, he sits down just fine. After awhile of doing this, I decided to check the nav mesh where I was fighting and there was absolutely no blue in my camp spot. Do these plugins rely on that nav mesh to return to camp?

that is correct - in fact if you don't have a mesh for the zone you are in, the plugin will kick you out of assist mode and go back to manual mode (not sure if that is what is happening) but yes, mq2nav is required. now I do believe there was some mq2nav issues in this recent build, which are going to be fixed with another build either tonight or tomorrow, but sounds like you have a bad mesh more than anything

what zone is it? and what rough loc? maybe i can build you a mesh real quick

ok, this appears to be another zone that the ground is now like 100ft where it used to be - I pm'd you a new file

So, after a few solid hours of using this, I must say it works very well. Here are a couple of notes that you may be aware of that I think could use some tweaking. Please keep in mind this is a level 80 BST on TLP that doesn't have all his spells yet:

1) He was casting Viscous Ferocity on my chanter, cleric, and enchanter pet...while not my SK. (yes, all had the kissbuff plugin.)
2) He would replace Viscous Ferocity when he went to cast other buffs like spiritual e. line. Why replace a long cooldown buff each time to cast general buffs? Would it not be more efficient to swap a quick recasting spell?
3) Bestial Empathy (level 68ish) short duration pet would cast when the mob was below 20% heath. Several times he recast it below 10% and at least once started it at 1%. Low level spell that missed the feralgia min cast life setting?

All of these could be due to the fact the focus is not on lower levels, but I thought I would put it on the radar.

When in hunter mode, is there a way to have him just run to the mob and start fighting? I don't need him to pull mobs in hunter mode. This also creates a problem around water and he will try and pull a mob from the water but the spell will not hit the target.

not currently, his pull ability is sha's, so he's gonna use that.

we do have detection to just run and punch the mob if you can't hit them or see them or they are in the water, and that should happen while in huntertank mode

are you seeing this msg when you try and cast on a mob in water? "Liquid distorts your view of the target, try casting your spell from a different location." ?

telling me "yes all had the kissbuff plugin" doesn't actually help at all. if the dude isn't getting buffed its likely because their kissbuffs is borked - they are likely missing a buffs line entry like i've talked about several times.
telling me "yes all had the kissbuffs plugin" is primed to tell me what you know i'm going to ask/tell is wrong - so why ask me in the first place =p, I can pretty safely say that unless you had a buff that caused it not to stack, then 100% it was a kissbuffs issue where you didn't have the entry in your kissbuffs file - which now the cwtn plugins will just ignore than toon instead of chain buff them. I suspect it was doing fine, then you died and wouldn't rebuff.

we check both, so if any stacking says yes this will stack over that he will cast it. there is a chunk of stuff in the middle like 40s-70s (basically sub 85s before soe/dbg got their shit together) that its wild wild west.

re: swarmpetmoon line - yeah this should be treated like a dot, I'll update that

Yes, I do see the "Liquid distorts your view of the target, try casting your spell from a different location." message along with "Your ability failed. Timer has been reset.

what i meant to say is when we get that msg we will navigate to the target and try again to pull - I'm actually in an area now using it, and watching it get the message, then go in the water and then pull. so appears working as intended

It's not doing that for me. My BST stands on the shore and tries to cast on a mob in the water. I get the message and he casts again and again and never moves.

is your mesh in such a way that he can actually navigate into the water?

No problems with the Mesh. I have farmed this spot for months using pocketfarm. In fact I have MQ2 berzerker farming there without any issues what soever.

keep in mind the pull routines are exactly the same across all the plugins - not even "copy and pasted" literally calling from the exact same function as shd or zerker or any of other other plugins, tho zerker obviously doesn't have any spells to get the message.

I'll get with chat and see how we wanna do this - we had talked before that if you had multiple failures in a row to maybe just run up and punch the mob, but we hadn't had any issues since we added the liquid distorts check thing

Thanks for the notes

Thanks. Looking forward to a fix. Maybe an option to not pull with a spell would work great. Its not really needed when hunting. In fact it slows you down.

I guess I worded this poorly. The better question would be: Why is he wasting (my opinion) Ferocity on a chanter, or mage, or cleric that rarely melees. Would it not be better to save that cast so it is ready for the classes or pets that would make good use of it? It cast it on the chanter and mage who never ever melees and then it wears off on the BST while it is on cooldown.

I suspect it was doing fine, then you died and wouldn't rebuff.

This did happen to me last night. How do I get the rebuffing to happen? I just logged off and hope it works tonight. Again, I am sorry if this has been answered in this thread. I did not read through all 7 pages. I did check the FAQ page tho!

Also, I was fighting a named mob last night and the BST just spam cast slow on the named that was already slowed by the chanter. BST slow: Sha's Legacy and Ench's slow: Desolate Deeds. Probably another low level stacking thing, but wanted to put it on the radar.

If this type of information/questions is not wanted here, I will avoid posting it here. If I remember correctly, you did mention in the video that you want info like this to make the plugin better for low level people. If this is not the appropriate forum or if you do not want this info, I will stop posting.

at least as of now, its going to buff your whole group, this might change later, but this is how i have it for now

you can toggle off the use of the slow with the slowall/slownamed options

if kissbuffs bugs out, like the case with your tank, your tank needs to re-load it --- i wish this wasn't the case, but mq2kissbuffs sucks and hopefully we'll use another method soon.

My (2) beasts essentially chain cast Group fero, I reloaded mq2kissbuffs/deleted the ini for it also.

My characters are all all access status.. one beast has rank 1, the other has rank 2... they just overwrite each other.
Not sure if you consider this a bug/issue with the plugin and it's buff checking etc, thought i'd flag it with you.

BYOS/removing the spell from spell bar for the rank 1 beast fixes it, glowing spells in bazaar are stupid expensive and im yet to go get a drop. I guessing both having rank 2 would fix it though

1) So, I tried to do a bit more work on the Vicious Ferocity (level 80) spell today. My group consisted of a SK, Cleric, Enchanter (with animation), BST and 2 Berserkers (all level 80). During a long session (3hrs) with this group, the BST never once cast Ferocity on either of the 2 Berserkers. It cast it on the cleric, enchanter, enchanter's animation, BST, BST's pet often and occasionally on the SK. So, I blocked the buff on the cleric, enchanter, and enchanter's pet. After blocking it on all of those, ferocity was still never cast on the two berserkers. It avoided the cleric and enchanter, but still cast on the enchanter's animation, BST, BST's pet and SK. So, I dug into the KissAssist_buffs.ini file and noticed that the enchanter's pet never added any blocked buffs to the ini (the cleric and enchanter clearly showed them as blocked buffs). At this point, I tried to unload and reload the MQ2Kissbuffs plugin. It still did not add the pet's blocked buffs to the KissAssist_buffs.ini file. Regardless, after another hour, it still has yet to cast Vicious Ferocity on the prime targets (the Berserkers).

It seems that there is possibly a bug adding blocked pet buffs to the KissAssist_buffs.ini file? I know this would be unrelated to these plugins, but thought I should bring it up. If there is a process other than unloading and reloading the plugin that would update this file better, please let me know!

2) I have the UseMending setting turned on (it is green). In my 2-3 sessions with this plugin, it has yet to cast Daria's Mending (level 77 general BST heal). It does have it loaded and my tank has certainly been below the threshold setting of 80 many, many times (I have not touched any settings since loading the plugin). Other toons have also been low as well.

Other than my BST being constantly out of mana (his gear and AAs are total crap), this plugin has been great!

1. well again, if its not casting on the berzerkers 1 of 2 things is happening. either A: it doesn't stack (or mq2/eq doesn't think it does), or B: kissbuffs isn't properly loading their buff section. you mentioned fillding around with the kissbuffs on each of the non zerker toons - like i mentioned before if its not working on a particular character it needs to be reloaded on that character. as far as blocked buffs, kissbuffs does not track blocked pet buffs.

I just created a test environment where i would force vicious to be the mercferocity used, and then checked if it would buff one of my berzerkers, and it worked as expected. I strongly suspect kissbuffs issues
1592662259246.png

1.b - I should be able to change the single target fero line to just do melee toon for next update, I can see how that is a pain in the ass, I had a comment in the code that I would want to change it to melee once we changed some logic around for that to facilititate specifying some specific groups in our buff checks

1.c - I did, however, find an oddity in my fero check as well which has a really small, but possible chance to cause some weirdness

2. the healing logic is very straight forward, I have it check MA health first (person assigned as MA in the group window) and if its not a corpse and its hp is less than the maheal, heal them, then i have it check group (which would include an additional check on the ma against groupheal, then if not in a group check yourself against selfheal value. there's nothing fancy or tricky with this to cause it to work sometimes and not work other times

Yes, I reloaded the berserkers kissbuffs several times based on your previous post. Last night when I was finishing up, I had only the BST and the 2 berserkers in a group (3 man group and not a full group) and the BST cast Vicious Ferocity on the Berserkers. So perhaps they were always at the bottom of the list of characters to buff and never got to them.

Understood, I will watch it a bit more closely. I will remove my cleric and get my tank to below the heal threshold to see if he casts it in a controlled environment. Is it possible that Daria's Mending was not added to the list of heal spells since it is lower level?

1. that's definitely possible since long recast and such, the next update will only do the ST merc fero line on melee dudes - so that should help you out a bit

2. nope and you can check by reloading the plugin - does it show "Daria's Mending" as "Mending" when it spits out all the spells it uses?, and if usemending is on, it should be auto memorizing your mending spell also
2b. I just triple verified everything including the checkbox ensuring it is toggling the correct bool (cause i've definitely made a mistake or two there before :p) and appears fine.
2c. Loaded up my bst and he is casting it, but i can make some adjustments for it - I didn't have it doing the mending on downtime, only during combat, and depending on what's going on, you're prioritizing other stuff, but its likely if you have usemending on, you probably want that to be prioritzed higher, so i'll make that adjustment to also do it during downtime, as well as do it earlier in the logic while in combat
