Have newest meshes and not using anything else.

MQ title box says ""Group Mana Check" then flashes "Going to kill NULL", and when yen you /end the mac, it navigates to the corpse summoner
From what I remember of the logic, that's saying it can't find a path to the listed spawns. Specifically, the spiders are on the other side of a "spider web wall" which Nav interprets as a wall. So the mesh would need an off mesh link leading to the spider area, and the queens area at a minimum to access that area.

the -1 is the path length from you to the spawn. -1 meaning there is no path.

I will try that. Thanks

I never had that issue with other toons before this last update, but I'll tinker with it and see what I can find. I will rerun the mesh updater as well and see if that helps

You might be better to download the mesh provided in the thread. Get the updated Tutorialb.navmesh & Tutoriala.navmesh filed to run this macro smoothly.

Might have been overwritten with the last mesh updater.

Those are the ones I used haha! Still haven't tested yet. Will confirm this AM

Update: ran the mesh updater and reinstalled those tutorial files. I double checked the file location. I have 2 MQ2Nav folders, one in the main directory, and one under resources. I didn't have it updated in resources. Working good now!!

I took the plunge and decided to give multi-boxing a try. my team is SK, Clr, Enc, Mag, Mag, Bst. I was reading in another thread that someone recommended running tutorial.Mac and then poktutorial.Mac to kickstart the leveling. if I may, I have several questions:

1. When you run either of the tutorial macs, do you also run RGMercs at the same time?
2. Do I just use /dgae /tutorial.mac and broadcast to the entire group?

Thanks for the help. I am currently trying to watch @Sic video to setup auto group and auto accept.

Be well.

3. When you run tutorial.mac, are the toons grouped or ungrouped?
1. No. Both are macros and only one can run at the same time. Run the tutorial mac at least for the basic grind of the first steps. You may want to switch to a combat system for the later quests to gain better coordination of effort.
2. Specifically, I'd run /dgga /mac tutorial (assuming they are all grouped together). Alternately, you can use /dga instead if you want to keep them ungrouped.
3. You can group them up, but the tutorial mac treats them all individually. Eventually, you'll encounter a point where they are all doing the same thing and safety in numbers will help, so starting that way isn't a bad thing.

Just tried it, stopped at accepting: Arachnida. Accept was ok, did not continue.
Stuck here, waited 20 mins.
Otherwice, really good job!!!

Had a bug.. sorta. Had it running went to the guards. Gathered quests and then it was time to move to the spiders. Found em.. and went into a high speed scroll, and was unable to move to them. I moved to the rat room, re-started still failed. I then stopped and restarted a couple times and it would just go to Arias saying all quests done. SO I moved into the spider room. Re-started the macro.. and voila.. found a spiderling and ran over and killed it, macro continued after that. Surprisingly was unable to navigate to Guard Rahtiz. Once I ran out of the spider room and was in the middle of the first rat room it created a nav and took off. Had to run back into the spider room to have it create a path to continue. Was unable to find egg sacs etc. SO having to manually move it to the area of the items. Not sure why the pathing is failing. Total distance possibly.

Sounds like you may need offmesh links for the spider area. The web across the entrance of spiders is an "invisible wall" in MQ2Nav's meshgen, so it thinks there is no path through. Creating offmesh link from the main area to the spider area should allow it to navigate into the spider area and back.

Got around to trying this and wow, its great. I have 1 that went through completely to level 13 and ive got 2 others running through now. It works great.

Started this with an FTP SK. After you get your merc, the macro tries to set the merc's stance to Agressive, but that stance doesn't exist on my cheezy FTP basic Cleric merc. Just spams it over and over. I changed it to Balanced in the local macro, but maybe some logic here to handle it gracefully.

I think it’s because it anticipates a tank merc, to speed up the killing. I ran into this because I had Newtoon set to cleric in the ini, then ran Tut. Dropping for tank merc fixed it.

Yeah, you never start with anything but a tank merc if you're serious anyway

I think you guys are missing the point completely. I start a new character. When I hit the tutorial, I type "/mac tutorial" and walk away to fix some coffee. I come back and it's freaking out about the stance. If "you never start with anything but a tank merc if your serious anyway, then the macro should get me a tank merc yes? I'm looking for automation, not babysitting something :)

I used this recently on test to complete the tutorial. It did indeed choose a journeyman tank merc. The new toon died 3 times before completing all of the gloomingdeep missions.

I definitely can't complain it was much more set it and forget it than I expected.

I think I understand what you are saying. You are saying it should check for membership level/merc type and use that to determine stance?

I usually switch the mercs to healers around level 6 or so. I only have the ftp mercs. I loot items in the tutorial to sell to vendors in order to fund spell purchases. It's important to keep spells updated to their strongest version for greater success. I've ran well over 100 characters through the tutorial with this mac, it does have to be babysat. At different points it's helpful to /mac tutorial to get it to re-calibrate.

I just wanted to say again how great I think this mac is. It just completed in the fastest time ever for me through the tutorial. 1h40m to get my SK from naked and afraid to completing the entirety of the gloomingdeep quests!

Not quite a month later I wanted to come back with a weird update.

I've used this macro on a bunch of toons now.

Today was the first Bard.

At some point it decided to start killing anything in sight, now it normally does this to level up I assume I haven't dug through it all to know for sure.

But the weird part is it was killing a spiderling next to the spider tamer. Well as the bard would get the spiderling to 50% hp the spider tamer would heal the spider back to 70% I wasn't paying attention to it as I was in a couple meetings but this little battle went on for a good 90 minutes. I manually targeted the spider tamer and killed him then it returned to the spiderling and killed it.

I just thought it was an interesting never ending loop. The healer merc had plenty of mana to keep me alive and spider tamer gungan had plenty of mana to keep the spiderling alive so we were going to keep bludgeoning each other forever.

Not sure that anything in the macro needs changed, just something to be checked in on when using.

While it's possible the macro does everything without intervention, it's recommended you not be afk while running automation.

I wanted to try this macro out as it will be my first ever macro. I am getting an error of no nav mesh available for tutorialb. I have copied in the 2 provided and can see them in the nav folder. Any thoughts as to why this might be? I ran the mesh updater as well and still get the same error.

What does /nav reload do?

Can you share the directory location that you placed the mesh?
