Release Tradeskill recipes (max out Artisan's Prize) 4.07

Jande - You're a stud! I just got this going and it's been insane. This was the first macro I went with, totally new to RedGuides, and didn't have a POK mesh set up. After I did the mesh, holy balls! Need to sort my bags out and then go full steam.

I'll most likely work with the shopping lists. Hope a bazaar buy gets launched.

Well done - worth it!

I finally filled up my bank with containers and shared bank and inventory. My question, is there an easier way to know what the hell you sell and what you need to keep to move forward with making room to do a combine? I am trying to sell anything that doesn't have a tradeskill tag, but this only works for about two seconds.

The macro keeps any items that are required for future combines and drops them in your inventory.
Any items not required for future combines are either destroyed or kept for sale depending on the platinum value you set in the ini.
Any items that are kept to be sold, defined by your set value, are dropped into the first available slot of bag 10.
With that being said I found the best way is to keep slots free at the top of bag 10 (for the saleable items) and also at the bottom of bag 9 because you don't want needed items going into bag 10 buy mistake due to lack of space in your other bags.
It's difficult when so many items are needed but with a little bit of micro management you can make your inventory work in your favour.

Are CoV recipes added in yet? I am having trouble with making Restless Velium fletching recipes. Thanks

I did find out that if you search inventory anything white is not tradeskill, purple is tradeskill and yellow is tradeskill/quest

BUG: dozen times now ive gotten to "spell: elementaling fire"recipe 12335 in research and every time it pauses, tells me i have to go open a spell research table in experiment mode(im at a spell research table, in pok not even my placeable one, and in experiment mode when it decides to pause) and everytime i unpause it jsut repauses. if i start over it pauses at the same place. the first few times it was a subcombine for the spell so i did the subcombine, but still no dice. i dont have move to container turned on, but if i did idk where it would try to go since im at the container and it's open.

buncha spells it does it. after manually doing that one it did it again. now it's spell: shadow step #12314

Yabba

I do all of the items that are not required any longer and set for destruction need to be in any particular bag? I find myself also having to move through and lookup certain items to see if they are used again, just to clear space.

We are good, nevermind! I checked after running it for a while and went to merchant to look at the 'Recover' tab and a whole lotta stuff was there.

[Recipe35691]

ItemC1=1
Item2=Ink of Forgetfulness
ItemC2=1

ItemC4=1
Item5=Quill of the Archon
ItemC5=1

It has it ?

It has it ?
Must be part of whatever keeps making the macro pause looking for another container, but it won't unpause. Never had a problem with other skills just research doing this. When it pauses I have to manually do the last recipe it shows then restart. Many times I've had to do this over and over, then it'll do a handful of recipes before the next time it does it.

Often too, it'll start putting ingredients in the container for the first recipe of the run, but never hit combine. Then when I hit combine it'll continue after a few seconds. I just updated before this issue, so that I'd have CoV recipes included, but these are ancient recipes it's doing this on(<level 20 spells etc)

Did you read the instructions tab ?
I make it to abysmal sea then when I go to tonyeli lyhin it says "unable to find ts_tradeskill(weird box)_godtailor.ini file in tradeskill directory. Everything i thought was moved to my macro folder let me check again

Ok that is not related to this macro. you will need to ask in the correct thread about it.

Question. Can you use Primordial Clown Fish in place of Primordial Lion Fish? The sub combine for both make the same item, however one is fished in an open zone and the other is a flag access zone. Thanks for any insight on this.

EDIT: Well I manually made a ton of scale sheets with the Primordial Clown Fish and it's not showing that I need 1100 Primordial Lion Fish in the shop list. So I assume this is a good thing.

You can yes, though I had the easier of the 2 as the one commonly used.

Yah, as I was looking at the buy list it listed the Primordial Lion Fish 1100 or something like that, then after wiping a few times trying to do the progression for plane of smoke (something was bugged with mercs there because my group literally died twice in less than a minute) anyway did some research to find that the Primordial Clown Fish end product was the same and I could fish that right in Stratos. :) Thanks. Great work by the way.

Having not played in a decade most of the items on the shopping list are alien to me. Is there a part of this macro that will acquire the items more than just where they are at if I already have them? The current list I have is more time than I will invest in the game. Is there any known macros that would automate acquiring the bulk of the items like the trophy quest macro, only up to higher skill levels?

Farming is left up to the user. What I usually do I see I need something then look it up on eqtraders which zone, start pocketfarm there for a few hours. Usually acquire what I need + extra for other skills/recipes.

Tradeskills can be daunting. Now I'm not trying to scare you away, but do a bit of due diligence and you'll find it's rather simple to skill up close to or actually at 300 each. With the beginner's and the trophy quests and the tradeskill books they practically give you skills to the 150-200 range. I would suggest reading the forums a bit at EQTraders.Com. Even the old threads on getting started in Tradeskills are still valid today.

Having a moderate skill level around 200 is helpful in game. For example the Ciodaru and Kathryn quest arc in Goru`kar Mesa gets you started gently into Tradeskills by requiring around 190 skills levels.

The current push to 350 is because one of the most active EQ Developers is crazy about Tradeskills! His wife initiated and still runs the EQTraders website! So some of the best gear in the game is player-made using Tradeskills!

If your gaming time is limited there are many other things in EQ that will get you a better investment on your time. A lot depends on your personality too! :)

Okay, thank you for the info and the history. I find that kind of cool, he did that for his wife. Is my best bet to look up the recipies I want to use to get to X skill then go farm the mats until I should have enough? When I run the app it goes through a bunch of potential recipes then that's it, is that because I don't have any of the full item sets needed to make the item? the green bar in the video never appeared for me.

@jande I love this thank you so much. And I also hate this :D

I am wondering if there is a suggested ordering for the tradeskills in terms of which ones help the other skills.
I.e. If I do smithing first, I will make a bunch of needles that will help tailoring (I assume).
Is there a way to optimize that?

Also, is there an easy way to separate out my tradeskill items that are only useful for one tradeskill?
Iike, I want to say "XXX Item is only useful for Pottery" so give that to "PotteryMule".

Or do I just periodically transfer all tradeskill items and then find items to get the ones for the tradeskill I need back?
I am going to have like 20 alts with all this tradeskill stuff.

I think that my real problem is that I did not do a "Cleanup" after research, and now I do not have enough space to finish smithing.
Will cleanup go into my bank and get stuff from there?

No suggested order
No way to separate I just parcel everything to a mule periodically
cleanup think you mean find, if banker window is open yes it does
cleanup no, just your inventory

Ahh ok I see.
I think I have done "Auto inventory" so that it moved a bunch of vendor purchased stuff into my bank, and I wanted to clean that up. I will figure that out I guess :D

does http://eqrecipes.free.fr/ work for anyone else, when giving both an inventory and recipe dump?

When I do this I get this.

This page isn’t working
eqrecipes.free.fr didn’t send any data.
