without more information - it sounds like you're running MQ - and have mq2maps loaded with your map open with details ---Odd thing happened when I loaded up Red Fetch... I cannot open some of my inventory bags. Is that something that can/has been known to happen?
Tried to run this today, and got the error.
C:\tEMP>redfetch.exe
C:\Users\Dan\AppData\Local\pyapp\data\redfetch\4791037221231039064\1.1.2\Scripts\python.exe: Error while finding module specification for 'redfetch.main' (ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'redfetch')
I'm also getting this. Possibly a windows update is the cause. Still investigating on my end.
When I launch Redfetch it starts but then crashes immediately. If I restart my computer it will work fine. Anyone else having this issue?
I am also having this issue
I am getting \data\redfetch\4791037221231039064\1.1.2\Scripts\python.exe: Error while finding module specification for 'redfetch.main' (ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'redfetch') and it never opens redfetch but it used to ?
./redfetch.exe self restoreThat’s the best partOk why do i get a MUD screen with a wizard asking me stuff?

Just point redfetch to your old install if you want to keep that install. Also, what if i wanted a clean install and keep my old files?!
No. Not settings (other than default)Thanks Sic, so Redfetch will *Fetch* all vanilla files and settings?

Unfortunately mq itself I don't think would support windows 8 (I know it doesn't support 7)so ive come back after over a year and see this new redfetch thingy .. im playing on an old laptop that still has win 8.1 .. ya ya i know it sux but i only have 4gig ram to work with and it plays EQ fine 1 or 2 instances np ..
so i tried to download and install redfetch and go thru the config settings but then i get some error not sure what it is but thats as far as it goes .. ive got the redfetch icon on the screen and when i dbl click it it try's to load but then i get that fog horn error sound .. inside the redfetch window is a bunch of jarbled mess ..
im almost positive its because redfetch is not win 8.1 compatible ?? but confirmation would be nice..
this laptop is not upgradable .. so until i can get a cheap laptop with win 10 or 11.. im screwed on macroquest i guess..
I dont even see an error log in the redfetch directory![]()
Thanks on answer SIChttps://www.redguides.com/community/resources/redfetch.3177/download
Unless your level 2 expired?
Download button at the top of the resource
woot woot!Worked :-) !!!!!! Thanks
redguides launcher is deprecated (will not received future updates, and may have things that don't work). Is this someting that is still used and what is the benefit of using it, if anything?
Thank you Sic ...it's that I never knew this existed. Will give it a try.redguides launcher is deprecated (will not received future updates, and may have things that don't work).
redfetch is the new way to update redguides - and it has a bunch of function and features that are leaps and bounds better than rg launcher
yeah you have an active licenseNot sure why, but RedFetch isn't grabbing 100% of my resources when I update using the Easy Update Button. It has been missing MQ2Rogue on both of my computers the last couple updates. The update a single resource worked last time to manually update it.
I ran the Clear Download Cache and re-ran the easy update and it had the same issue.
Any advice?
Thanks

open a powershell terminal, navigate to the directory that holds redfetch.exe (likely your Downloads folder) and type,I was installing Redfetch and it got to the part where it sets up the VM.
Windows rebooted in the middle of the process, and now when I try to run
the Redfetch installer it just closes instantly with no error.
I already rebooted, but the installer still won’t open.
Looks like the forced reboot left behind a corrupted VM or partial install.
Has anyone run into this before or know how to fully clean the leftover
files so the installer can run again?
Added
- Custom category directories: override where
lua, macros, orpluginsinstall viaCATEGORY_PATHSinsettings.local.toml.- Clearer messages for users on why certain resources are skipped or blocked.
Changed
- Rewrote the sync pipeline with separate discovery, planning, and execution stages.
you are not level 2I'm working through the guide, have downloaded redfetch, clicked on the button, authenticated, it's downloaded a whole bunch of stuff, but then it tells me MacroQuest.exe not found in the specified folder. Did I miss a step somewhere?
nah, it's just mad you're not level 2. I need to work on the ux for level 1 people some more.I'm working through the guide, have downloaded redfetch, clicked on the button, authenticated, it's downloaded a whole bunch of stuff, but then it tells me MacroQuest.exe not found in the specified folder. Thank you! Sorry, I did miss that bit. Appreciate it - Pushing now!nah, it's just mad you're not level 2. I need to work on the ux for level 1 people some more.
Got ya a month though, give the big button another push
Hey my dude, we have entire areas of the site that are only* open to level 2 members, full of discussions, scripts, etc.Thank you! Sorry, I did miss that bit. Appreciate it - Pushing now!
Edit: that worked. Is it just the compiling of MacroQuest that requires level 2, or is there more to it?
or is there more to it?
