Both raids down in 1 night after a few hiccups trying to do my own way
 
i'm having issues getting started... i try to use /dggae /mac omm_grp naggy and i get in red letters that is not a valid command. please use /help... so then i tried doing /mac omm_grp naggy and that works as far as the toon doing that goes to old man mckenzie and gets the mission and selects the enchanter toon (i'm guessing it picked that cuz my main is an enchanter) and then zones in ... the rest of the group do not select monsters or zone in... i try to run the /mac omm_grp naggy on each toon but it says i have a shared task already and to quit it and try again. i did the three downloads required... i'm not sure how to get them using the macro at the same time

The macro requires the MQ2Dannet plugin to be loaded and functioning. I think that's even in the macro somewhere that if you dont have Dannet loaded, it bails on you. Or was - i'll need to check this.

In Short: /dgae isn't being recognized because you arent running the proper plugins.

Turns out I've been checking for Nav twice and not Dannet after all. I suppose i'll need to fix that. And see what other QOL i can inject to this also in an update.

Thank you for responding and looking into it ... i'm not the best at applying alot of the computer stuff and thought i had completed what was instructed... with what you found does that mean i wont be able to work the program as of right now until an update is done?
 
Basically there are two systems used to broadcast commands between clients, the EQBCS system, and Dannet. The latter is a newer and generally more "hotness" for handling broadcasting between client. Dannet also has more capability for macro writers and end users.

The macro *can* be started by replacing /dgae (for dannet - everybody online) with /bcaa (eqbcs version), however it uses dannet inside of the macro to assign some other things out, so you might still experience hangups.

If you load the Dannet plugin, you'll resolve a lot of these issues.
 
Question... i ran the group missions very smoothly yesterday and this morning i flagged my 6 toons for the raid missions that old man mckenzie gives. i started the naggy mission and 4 of the 6 toons select mage and zone into zone but two do not. the two that do no can manually select and zone in but they do not do anything when they zone in... did i somehow miss something or is something messed up? i did reboot my computer and tried again

What are the other two doing? Are they in POK? If you have any error messages or additional information (picked a class, selected it, chose a class.. didnt select a class, tried to zone in, etc) on their behaviour that helps diagnose a problem.

The raid macros are primarily manually driven - that is you have to move everybody around, tell them to nuke, etc. The raid macro largely gets you into the zones and buffs/makes pets and engages the MA's target. you do the pulls/splits/crowd control/etc.
 
The group version does not work for me. They load perfectly to the zone in, I kill about 2-3 names, then I get a NAV error and the program ends.

My workaround was to remove all go to Nav points, and just control the group myself. Made my self main Assist, some hotkeys they all were doing my bidding. The main program works well.

To be honest I prefer to control my group and go to different places myself. Would be nice to have something like this than 100% auto, not sure if you playing anymore at that point.
Nice program, needs a manual mode, and I would be happy.

the two that dont select a monster shroud just sit there ... i can manually select a monster shroud and zone in with them but they do not summon pets or buff... i tried the /dggae /invis to see if they would work in unison but do nothing so i figure they will not nuke either ... i'm prepared to run around and pull and everything but if they arent making pets, invis'ing, and nuking i wont be able to manage them with the group
 
Just curious if this is still currently working with MQ2Next? or if i need to run Legacy for it to work properly? just tryin to get the unlocks done since apparently even tho i used to run them the rewards arent unlocked for me

plus side its a macro, so it "should" work.
 
Sent you a PM. there is nothing in MQ2Nav that changed with how i'm using the plugin in the macro. I dont have any travelto in there, it's all nav to an XYZ or a spawn name. Send me error details and it helps me narrow down the issue. Also be mindful there's an additional mesh you will require for the two guk missions.
 
Trying to get this to run and my party seems to die just before the last named. I'm only running with 5. Should I add a 6th?
 
Couple things are going wrong for me in the group mac. I am running all 6 characters.

Summoners are not buffing burnout or equivalent and healers are not healing pets when pets are sent offscreen. For instance, group moves to crusader & priest camp in Lguk. Group sends in unbuffed pets. Because the fight is so long (hp/LOH/heal mob) and no pet heal/buff, pets die and get resummoned instead of getting tossed a heal. Pets slowly beat crusader down then he LOHs, then he heals. Its over 5 minutes long fight.

So far its the main issue that slows the macro down I think. I looked at the macro and theres definately coding for pet buffs.

Ideally, the macro would pull crusader to camp with a pet (/pet back) and nuke his ass off.

Please halp!

UPDATE: #1: It's been 10 minutes and crusader is still alive and kickin ;)

UPDATE #2: My second biggest issue would be that somehow I think "med" is being called by the macro and one or more of the characters dont sit so it turns into an endless medding session before its ready to go again.

Started strong, ended in tragedy lol Its a bummer so many good macros get abandoned. Sure it was awesome when it worked as intended.

Not sure what exactly is the cause of the issue, but I had the following issues:
Sol B group mission I ended up getting stuck in the lava every time i left it on autopilot. Would die in lava
Upper Guk mission i ended up getting stuck in the water on /nav and one of my characters ended up drowning. If i hadnt been getting characters unstuck off the ledge they were getting hung up on, they all would have just got stuck in the water.
 
I manually drag them all out of the lava and the mission ends normally. Not exactly hands free as you might hope
I did the same. I also edited the macro so that you can just go back in after the lava wipe, start this script and your group will re-buff and run to the first lower ramp before the lava. I adjusted some NAV points but they still may sink like stones, so be ready to get them out of the lave and onto the other side to fight.

Hope this is useful to someone else.

Using this awesome Macro, what is the optimal path to getting the Staff for my shaman, do I need to do all group missions once then both raids to unlock it?

Ok seems i've run into the same issue as @taz6two and unfortunately the macro he's provided doesn't seem to work, it just ends the macro right away upon zoning in :(

Second Edit, managed Solb with alot of pathing issues, characters getting stuck on the ceiling because of Dead man floating etc, now the macro for Lguk just ends after Evil eye as it cant find the path to the next location :(

I didn't do any of the group missions, my steps where.
1. do 7 of the raids from that era.. ( I did the 7 tower of discord raids) a lot of people do the Crystallos raids.
2. do the first raid OMM: Naggy raid
3. do the second raid OMM: Vox raid
4. Either loot the drop off Vox or purchase from OMM for 63 brews
5. the currency can be bought with overseer currency.

I tried this today. Very first run was a wipe 3 mins in. I too get this same output as @Berkz (No such 'spawn' member DoTarget).
My setup when I first attempted was that I still had my CWTN plugins loaded but paused, I also don't run MQMelee. So, on second attempt I unloaded all my CWTN plugins, Loaded MQmelee. everything went much smoother until lava before effreeti. toons fell in lava and mac ended once they couldn't find loc. toons wiped as I manually tried to recover. I zoned back in and ran omm_grp_restartatlava.mac it just errored saying I need to run this mac in pok and choose mission and ended.
Seems like a nice Macro if someone would take over and fix. I would even pay a small price to be able to get my brews done.

@TempusX Posting here to continue the convo from the Rez Stick thread, since its about updating your macro. So I just remembered upon typing this (I see @GoldenFrog post above), that I also added that change in too. I had been getting so much spam from the DoTarget.. anyways that was a great add.
 
Goldenfrog ans I were talking, I believe, ont he side about the dotarget issue.
It seemed like it was occurring when the MA was either not set, set incorrectly, or simply did not have a target when everybody else was trying to assist them.
I'll try to look at the macro changes tonight or tomorrow and see what we can do though. there's some other changes that need doing also, but we're so far ahead of the content now it always falls to the wayside of my to do list :)
 
Hey guys, wanted to give you an update: Firstly...I am a bonehead.
Next, I am so spoiled from modern day Launcher, that I did not go look at: 1674630861555.png I just update the Mac in launcher..but in the Download button (as you know, but explaining for those that would not think of it like I did not) is 3 files, the Group and Raid macs and a Gukbottom mesh. After putting the new mesh in,DGuk (Cursed Guk) works with a potential issue. All the team went off the first edge into the water but half the team got stuck here:

This is right as you hop into the water and are just under the small tunnel. They had to stop and fight a mob there so a delay to move forward as they swam got 3 members stuck there for a lot of the mission. One got himself free on his own as the others advanced and killed. the last two I got impatient watching and /mqp moved them upwards a spinch and /mqp off and they went happily to join everyone else. Not a big issue, but not fully automated also. Is there a command to make them look up or something while in the water? Could just be RNG with the mob too. Anyways, all 3 seem to be good to go. I can't wait to see what possible changes/updates Tempus and Goldenfrog might think up. My suggestion is to add something about "Don;t be a DUMMY like Redfrog, and DOWNLOAD the MESH at the big button" (said in Mister T voice of course) and/or see if @Sic could see if the mesh can be added to the Mesh Updater Collection, no more messes up. Lastly.... a Lua version..🥰🥰🥰
 
is there anyway to restart this while in the mission? sometimes 1 toon will just freak out and not do a thing
No, not yet anyway (thats me just talking hopeful, answer is no).
That said, Taz made a mac for SolB group run that supposedly restarts if you fall in the lava. https://www.redguides.com/community/threads/old-man-mckenzie-group-macro-beta.74135/post-521351 its up above, but I linked it. He made a Macro where it restarts you, I tried it but it did not work for me. Which mission are you failing on?
 
it's just random, sometimes a guy won't pick a monster and when I pick it that toon does nada, I still complete the mission with 5 easily but was just asking.
 
On occasion that happens, or even a MQ/EQ crash and the guy that drops can re-enter the mission, but he's no longer doing anything. When that happns I let the rest of the team finish or I just restart it..easy peasy. If it keeps happening, try rebooting everything..sometimes its just a memory clog up somewhere. I can usually get all three missions working smooth and all in a row. See what happens and post back
 
Well, I was working on giving this an Lua update but my MB decided to go belly up, fortunately, it is still under warranty. It's going to be a couple of weeks to get a replacement.
 
VOX RAID -

1) Kill Spider at Blue Circle.
2) Kill Giant on other side of wall (just target via map)
3) Move to Giant spawn. (where the group currently is here). Send pets on both Icy Terrors in red circle.
4) Back to Blue Circle
5) DMF Necro. Run to orange "X". Run back down to where group/pets are on map now (Avoid blue circle). Try to FD split. Or Really split and die. Rinse repeat til only vox is left.
6) Re-kill Icy's in red (and inside vox room if needed)
7) Position group at big green X (I have everybody on /afol already here)
8) POsition Necro + necro pet at orange X. (/mqp on). Send pet on vox. It wont go until necro runs around corner and vox will charge. Harmshield necro. run to cubby in black square. while necro is running there, /pet back off A LOT.
9) Run all your mages as a group in room drop pets on vox (probably already are), run them to black cubby also. mash /dggae /pet back
10) setup in cubby the way the green X's and pets are. mash pet back off until vox comes to the cubby as shown in picture. Pets are in hallway hitting through wall. ae doesnt hit them. vox is too far away to hit mages. stand there, wait for her to die.

11) Bonus: You'll probably die a few times working the kinks out of the vox pull/position. I suggest these hotkeys:
/dggae /pet back (on your main driving toon)
/dggae /pet attack ${Target.ID} I use this if I want to force swap targets
/multiline ; /dggae /stand ; /dggae /afol spawn ${Me.ID} nodoor verifyname ${Me.Name} (on your main driving toon)
/dggae /afol off (on your main driving toon)
/dggae /nav spawn id ${Me.ID} (on your main driving toon)

Notes:
Sometimes your mages get feared while running across. If that happens, just break their afol and hit the nav to you key and it'll work itself out.
If you have a pet that decides to run out after vox is positioned, i wont risk letting it bone my event (if she fears it and chases it). so I just /pet leave that one and make a new pet.
When dealing with Giants. sometimes you get a bunch of healers. I've found it easier/faster to balance one giant (a healer) to about 55%, force swap to another giant, and take it to sub 50, where all healer giants will start a CH. Then go back to healer giant at 55, put pets there and /dggae /nuke that sucker to death. 1-2 /nuke rounds fromt he group (be in range, under 30 units) will kill it before it can heal itself since it's locked in a 10sec CH on another giant.

I'll get the Naggy strat up tomorrow. but it's fairly similar to this. Naggy is easier to plow through and easier to position. Vox is faster and (once youget the hang of it) faster in general.

I will second Rippsaw, strat still works. just did it today and got my shammy and cleric the staff

Also used this macro, worked great on my initial grp of 5 mages, manually did the other 6 (had 11 inside, one char didnt get fully flagged for whatever reason)
 
From the get go, I agro the giants in Vox' room. I have a cup of whatever the flavor of the time is and let the pets do their thing. When all are dispatched I run towards Vox' room and agro with all pets and continue to the hall where TempusX lists. Spam pets off of her until she's close then sit back and wait to open her chest. I have yet to see a staff from the chest but 2 healers down and 2 more to go. Mac works pretty darn good . I run this with 2 groups btw. :dance:
 
I posted the locs to make it easy mode in another thread, I will take a look when I have some time.
