We only use STFocus if it is higher level than your group focus, and mq is reporting that it stacks with whatever their current buffs are.

We only do focus/GFocus if "UseFocus" is checked - so you could turn off UseFocus on your shammies that have the lower level group focus than their st focus

if you check the faq for mq2shaman you'll see what to do when you get conflicting buffs, either due to level disparity and eq, or due to stacking issues with what MQ thinks.

I'd turn off usefocus - or I'd block the spell that you don't want and is conflicting on everyone - or the "less than smart" shamans you go byos and they won't buff

but the faq for mq2shaman has all that info in there

Request: please consider to not mem the 12s dots. As far as I know, they are considered very inefficient, as the don't profit from serveral aas, the other dots do.

Apart from that, they do block the more efficient dots, further reducing efficiently.

Korsh's Venom actually memmed at slot 5, for shaman in dps-setting.
Desperate Vampyre Blood actually part of Chaotic Toxin, memmed at slot 13 in dps setting of shaman.

Chaotic Toxin delivers much more damage than Korsh's Venom and casts much faster.

i think i have a bracket wrong, we shouldn't do venomdot if we have pandemiccombo dot - thanks i'll take a look
 
Does the shm have a "slowall" box like the beastlord? If not is this something that can be added? They dont get the AA that turns there turgurs spells into AOE slows for awhile and i would love it if the primary slower in the game would tab through like the beastlord does to slow everything. Also maybe a slow immune category to add slow immune mobs too?
 
So I have a question about using the AA "Call of the Wild" (instant 0 exp rez) while using MQ2Grind (if this question is posed in the wrong area/forum, my apologies).
1. Do yall use it?
2. Have you lost exp due to in combat rez and Grind not recognizing that a group member died during a pull and thus just continues on to completion without that toon being exp rezzed?

Seems like simplest fix is to just turn off "UseRezCall" while using Grind but I was just curious...

this is addressed into the FAQ

Q. Shaman only slows the MA's Target?
A. This is correct. We currently don't, and don't have plans to target around to slow at this time. We will likely eventually change around which slows are used for the memorized slow spells to mimic the useslow and useaoe slow (as those currently just function for AAs).

it also means you misunderstand what mq2bst is doing - because mq2bst doesn't do that either.

Q. Slow All doesn't slow all?!
A. Slow all doesn't cycle your xtarget to slow all, its just to "slow all mobs we're fighting"
 
Hi, love the shaman, too busy of a class this does about everything I dont enjoy doing. Would it be possible to have a use bifold option for dots?
 
since last patch I see lots of: "you must first select a target..."

I noticed that the shaman stays at 100% mana without even using the AA-Canni, where formerly he was draining down to 0 even using spell-canni in adddition.
Without having any parses to back my feeling up, I have the feeling the shaman dropped in efficienzy.

what spell? show the mq2shaman output - we say when we're trying to do something.

because this looks like something not mq2shaman - unless you put something weird in your addclickies accidentally.

I can't help you based on feelings, unfortunately.

I'd start looking at what LEMs/Luas you're running concurrently

all my shammies are still kicking ass and taking names as expected
 
thanks for the direction where to look at. I'll kleep an eye on the shamans output and try to understand, what spell is casting.
I have a self-created lem running as well on may shaman. As far as I remember, this lem uses only abillities which doesn't need a target.
In order to assure, that this doesn't cause issues, Ill keep it deactivated for the next missionrun.
In addition Final Fudge was running when I took the screenshot. As far as I understood, this runs on the MT/MA.

I understand, there is nothing which can be done to help me, If I can't provide more than my feelings.
As your shammies are doing well, there must be somthing on my setup/pc, which cause the issues.

Another effect which may be correlated to my issues:
I have running "DPS Advanced v1.6" on all 6 chars. 5 of the 6 chars sshow similar values, maybe differering by 1-2%, whareas lately the dps-parser running on my shammies account produces nubers aroud 50% of those of the others.
Writing this, I remer there has been a long time, since I cleard my log-files. Will do that befor I start the next mission-run.
Probably too big log-files causing lags which maybe cause issues.

If the problems persists, Ill try to provide anything requested in order to help to understand what's going on.
 
I know I have probably said this before but as much as I love the plugins and it's no secret I'm a huge fan. I wasn't early to the Shaman plugin. Or even the idea of automating a toon I had been controlling for over 2 decades. So I made a 2nd Shaman without nearly the gear or AA put into my Shaman. Just threw some levels on him.
And let the plugin work. Immediately I set it to DPS even there in full DPS mode he never dropped below 80% mana it was pretty insane. I figured I'd give my Shaman a go. He has just about all rank 3 spells what aren't are rank 2. I thought with this in DPS mode it will surely eat into his mana, nope never dropped below 80.
I later found I liked the Hybrid setting a little better it's a little closer to what I run. Even without BYOS the big picture was clear. The plugin does everything a pocket Shaman should. And after two decades manning a Shaman I feel like I should know. Like I said I'm a big picture guy. And the Plugins are all big picture. Intended to do what a person would do I'm ok now letting the plugins run my personal Shaman. I trust them .

It seems for me, that spiritual shower is cast, when the message apperars. "You must first select a target".

My log-file of the shaman has had a size of 1.8 GB, I cancelled It before i stared this ff run.
This reduced the appearance of the messagge: "You must first select a target" by a big chunk.

the maximum appearance of this message in a row was 3 and that only once or twice, whereas formerly It could be much more more times.

So for me most of the issue seemed resolved, by cancelling the chars logfile.
The few times, the message still shows up seems not to have an impact on the efficience.

If I understand well, the next patch will include something to handle better the log-file. This may eliminate the remaining occurances.

For the next run of ff, I'll try to remember to set /log off, just to understand, if that changes something.
 
well, as i mentioned, if mq2shaman was casting those abilities/spells/whatnot we'd say it in the mq2shaman output

your mq2shaman output shows you casting spiritual shower on someone

clearing your log file wouldn't make you not cast something without a target or otherwise, so not really sure how to help you there.

I just went through the file double checking any recent changes for missing targets, and don't see anything.

I also have a couple of shammies running atm and don't see anything unusual

lem was totally off on last run, used /Lua stop lem before I started the mission.
Have now played 1 our in LS helping a Ingame-friend doing the tasks.
No appearance of the message since.

I have seen it only in the mission "final fudge" also once a while and on my bard running kissassist while doing this mission.
My conclusion: it can't be an issue of mq2shaman.
My actual feeling: More likely it is a sideeffect of running the Lua final fudge script.
So sorry for bothering you.

My shaman casts Unity of the Heroic frequently. It seems to cast it on the pet despite it already being there. Is there some setting I need to turn off to get it to stop that? Shaman didn't used to do that with the previous line of buffs.

Q. Shaman is chain casting something?
A. There are a few lower lvl / mid level buffs that eq/mq reports stack that do not, or will chain overwrite other buffs and you get into a buffing contest with another toon. You either have this situation, or some other issues. I would suggest checking for the red error text that eq gives you to tell you WHY it didn't successfully take hold and then go from there. You can block anything you don't want cast. This is a built in everquest feature - right click on the buff and "add this spell to list of blocked spells" or go through the eq menu -> character -> blocked buffs

EQ Menu -> Character -> Blocked Buffs
EQ Menu -> Character -> Blocked Pet Buffs (to add to anyone's pet blocked spells)

/blockspell add me id
/blockspell add pet id
 
First, MQ2Shaman has a discussion thread. There is no need to make your own thread.

I feel like you may have overlooked important information in the above response. Please take the time to read all that it says. The spell landing does not negate the above response by Psy
 
Possibility of adding functionality for the "Pack of" buff line? This is a real nice buff, specifically in pet heavy groups.

I'm not sure what things don't function correctly w/CWTN plugins, but do you have possibly have a suggestion for a macro or plugin I could use to keep up the sort-of outlier buffs without bugging you about it? I'm happy to post suggestions, but you do more than enough for the community. I'd rather have the tools to just fix it for myself if it is possible. 👍

We use Visionary's Unity AA to cast it. I suspect your don't have the AA yet cause you're on tlp? again wild guess, pack of wurt and the AA both happen at 85, but the AA doesn't come to RoS, so guessing that is why - this is why we have the "how to ask for help" because otherwise i'm playing whack-a-mole, where you might have very niche specific circumstances (tlp) which differ than live. I'd guess many/most folks don't know that it is 85, but requires RoS.

the weird vague ask about me giving you a list of "weird outlier buffs that don't work correctly" or something is weird and not also something i can even begin to answer you about because again - specifics?

it is always best to be specific about what you're asking, rather than making me guess.

it isn't a "sort-of outlier" it is something that shammies do from when they introduced it, onward, that doesn't conflict with other things etc - so, yeah we wanna do it.
I think it makes sense to add those for this circumstance, i'll take a look at that, thanks for bringing it up.

I'm sorry man, that was a rushed post. I was just asking if there was something I could get to cast spells that wouldn't interact with CWTN plugins because I just posted about that Manastorm spell in Enchanter as well. I wasn't sure of the reason this buff wasn't being cast as well, I didn't ask for a list of anything though?

I should have posted the question over there honestly. I just encountered this spell that was not casting as well and monkey brained asking about something to cast buffs. I have not played these eras of the game so I'm not sure how common these one-offs or I guess what I called "outlier" spells are, so I was just trying to see if there was something I could use to cast them without bothering you to put it in. I wasn't trying to be weird I was just trying to be less of a nuisance...

I'm sorry that I did not explicitly state that I was playing on a TLP or the specific era, I had included the link to specifically what I was talking about but that clearly was not sufficient and probably should have been labeled better.
 
Hello there seems to still be something conflicting with your malis / malisinia changes. Before the change my shm in byos custom mode would only cast malis or malos w.e the unresistable one is at the time ( I’m in the lvl 75 era so it’s now malis and malisinia ) and now after this recent change the shm is doing the opposite it will only cast malisinia when memmed. If I change the load out in byos custom to malis the unresistable one he refuses to cast it.

Thanks so much for looking into this stuff y’all make an amazing product.
 
hey sic may need to look at it again after updating to the new build and updating my plugins the shm refused to cast the unresistable “Malis” but as soon as I changed the byos lineup to malisinia ( resistable no recast timer and faster cast ) and re-enabled custom he immediately started casting malisinia
 
show me your plugin output where it says what spells you use for Malo and Malo unresistable

it is working for me as expected

Recently something has changed with the sham plugin, not sure what.
A week or two ago there was no problem, i haven't changed any setting.

Right now the sham wont slow, wont debuff, wont offensively burn (spirit call etc).
changing from heal to hybrid to dps doesn't help. use slow is ticked on.

Things were working fine a week or so ago, i haven't changed anything, my group is still all setup as auto with the tank as MA,MT etc.

Anyone have any idea?
