Hey Friends! I've been using CWTN SHM for several months now. I also use the Necro, Zerker, Monk, Eskay, and mage. I only seem to have this issue on the Shm. His spell book keeps getting stuck open, like it's trying to mem, but no purple line. I only run the game while I'm in my office working on other things for my biz, but it'll cause the tank to drop and the group to wipe. I changed the setting for "Stuck Spell Gems" in the INI thinking that may fix it but it still happens every 15 mins to 3 hrs intermittently. Any ideas?

I've run into the same issue only once. So not much of an issue really.
But curious what you think I should run FG and BG FPS at? Presently running 25FPS in BG and 120FPS in FG on an AMD 5900x and 3090ti. With 6 toons running at about 7% CPU usage each.
Is BG of 25 decent?

This isn't plugin specific. It is client specific.

If your client is starved for cpu resources this can happen. Doesn't matter if you've got a great PC. If your CPU is pegged out then it can happen. If you have things like file, scanning or file syncing happening consuming resources away from macroquest being able to process stuff in the background, then also you're starving your clients.

If your background FPS is set too low, we actually adjust it. But if you're using frame limiter, it shouldn't matter.

Now keep in mind with all of the new UI updates that ever request is making a bunch of people are having very significant performance problems. Which could exacerbate this particular scenario.

My suggestions are exactly the same as the first suggestions that I made which are make sure you have frame limiter setup, consider turning on use melee which you should anyway with a shaman in my personal opinion, You can also revert your UI to the non-new UI pieces and see if that impacts your performance

Yep.

Even if your client is starved in the background, forcing your toon to stand and fight the mob closes your spellbook

Made a new shammy. Below 106, I guess you only have 12 spell gems you can mem. After 106, you can have 13. Dinged 106 and rejoiced when I got my 13th spell gem.

Shammy won't mem anything in the 13th gem spot. I do not have BYOS running, I can unmem that spell spot and MQ2 shaman won't mem anything into that spot. I tried Loadout DPS, Loadout Heal. Nothing. I stopped MQ2Shaman and restarted it. I camped the toon out and relogged in. Still won't use the 13th spot. I can manually mem anything into there and it is not used. Any ideas?

Shammy is doing everything else correct, it seems. Healing, dotting, buffing. Just won't use the 13th spell gem slot.

Alliance (starts at 103 with Ancient Alliance) if usealliance
or
Chaotic (starts at level 104 with Chaotic Venom) if you have it.

Check /shm missing
if you're missing things, you should get them, so the plugin can use them.

Anyway to make her stop doing that? I tried unloading the plugin and re loading it, no help there. Tried logging out and back and still does it. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I had honestly hoped that making it so you can just block spells you don't want would make it easy to remember. Don't want a spell? Just block it, same way you would with a merc, or if you have that one ranger that likes to cast SoE on the group when you don't like to levitate, you just block the thing you don't want.

It only happens at low/mid levels, not so much at all in current era game.

Is it possible to get rezing classes like Shm/Clr to rez out of group after a toon has been called? My scenario - Tank group with a dps group outside it someone in dps group dies and a healer shaman or druid w/e calls the corpse on the extended target. Toon is called but corpse is still there with the toon "live" on extended target. So the rezing classes Clr/Shm have a live toon on extended target and don't see the corpse. The tank sees it has a corpse nearby and won't run.

Could not pause mq2Shaman clicking at the "logo" as usuall would be possible, clould not camp, as cast attemts would interrupt camp.
Finally had to close task with taskmanager.
After relaunching eq on shaman effect was gone.
No other automation where running as far as I know.

Happened just once. When logging into gl all my mq2xxx are paused. Once I saw a suggestion how to modify the setup to automatically pause all mq2xxx when entering gl. I used this to pause them all always at gl. At the moment I clicked on the mq2shaman to activate it to get the buffing done, the spam started and I found no way to stop it but killing the eq task.
The spam was so fast, I could not see the cast-window nor recognize elsewhere which spell was casting.
Felt a little stressd at the very moment, as I didn’t want anyone to recognize the unusual behavior of the char.
So after clicking once and after some moments another time onto the logo where usually I pause mq2shaman I attemted /camp desktop unsucessfully and after that Ctrl-alt-del Taskmanager - and stopped the eq-task.
I did not took the time, to really understand what was happening or how to fetch further possibly useful informations.
As it started at the moment I unpaused mq2shaman I presumed it was somehow related to it, without beeing able to tell if it was really the case.

As it happened only this one time and never before nor after, I presume there must have been some incomplete loading of whatever causing this one time malfunction. I can’t recreate it, so I cannot deliver additional information. As it happened only once, I don’t consider it an issue.
Likely it was just something with my pc which somehow hindered mq to work propper this one time.
At this time I logged in my bard and my shaman contemporary as usual at this time of day. The bard didn’t show any unusal behavior and after restarting the shaman he did fine as well for the rest of the evening.

We 100% do not do stuff while paused.

And if you don't see it saying so in the shaman window then it is not us.

Please don't make me add MQ2 twist to things added to be unloaded.

Times ago I used to "guide" my group from my Bard. Therefore, amongst others, I had a hotbutton to launch kissassist on all chars. In the meantime I changed my behavior and guide my group from the sk. The Hotbutton to launch KA for Al, dass on the bard I took away from Row 1 of the hotbutton-bar and move it to row 2, where I even forgot it. Further I got used to the benefit of several MQ2 Xxx-plugin.
Not long time ago I noticed the Shaman was doing stuff, while I paused MQ2shaman.
It took a while until I understood, that I accidentally activated KA on the Shaman via the old hotbutton on the bard, because the hotbar has been at row 2 instead on row 1.

Could it be, that accidentally KA has been activated on your shm without intentions and without noticing it?

I think cause my bard is on the same account, when I logged off the bard and switched to the shaman, maybe twist was still active?

I use MQShaman all the time and when on pause he never casts anything. I use pause usually when an unfortunate death has occured so I put him on pause and sit him down. I use it on all my tunes that I play, Sk, Cleri, Chanter,Rogue and Bst. Never had a problem like that with any of them. You have something else running in the background

Because we don't. It isn't a mystery or up for debate, tho I appreciate the "+1 to it working as it should"

Have used "/plugin mq2shaman load" to try to load (and the same for the other classes) and I get the error "plugin 'mq2shaman' could not be loaded: loadlibrary failed with error 0x0000c1: %1 is not a valid win32 application." I have read on other posts that you state that the error is because I am out of date and need to patch. I used RG Loader to 'reinstall' veryvanilla... but I did not see a way to patch. What am I missing?

So this video was posted Oct 1, 2022 and he was using CWTN Plugins in the Video; then, on the forum post linked above Sic promised to release CWTN for EMU eventually.... was there a patch or update at that time that broke things? In other words, how was it working in this video and then not working now?
