MQ2Shaman

Plugin - MQ2Shaman 3.1.52471.11

you can add folks to your xtar and turn on xtar buffing, but all need to be running on the same computer.
have that set up already but he only casts it on the tank in his group not his other group. Even set the main tank as raid MA and set the shaman to raid mode to assist him to see if that would work but it did not.

It is not suggested to run any think such as KA with the CWTN plugins cause it will cause unintended actions. Should work with merc as MT and puller/MA being controlled manually shouldn't cause any issues.

Hmm. OK. It could be the nav mesh fix could solve it after a full reboot. Will see what happens when I log back in after work.

Make sure to check out the getting started guide for the plugins.

Still not working. Nothing really in those videos other than an overview of how to do things, and it's not changing settings that I'm having an issue with. In camp, MA/MT set, plugin loaded, mob in camp, only casts reckless mending or casts unfettered growth. Won't slow or dot the mob in any of the three modes. Also in assist mode.

I've reinstalled the plugin, but that really didn't change anything.

is the mob within the shaman's camp radius? Is the non-automated bard MA targeting and attack the intended target or just sitting back and doing melody?

Yea, inside the red circle and I'm actively playing the bard, so attacking, casting, etc. Does the xtargeting window need to be setup a certain way?

You say it's just healing, is there a break between heals or does the shaman need to heal to keep the bard alive? Heals take priority over doing damage.

The Shaman will heal once any party members health falls low, but it's not chain casting or spamming the same spell. I've also got a merc cleric active which heals most of the damage. It never targets the mob. Outside of combat, it buffs and I've seen it cast Apathy on the bard, but never the tank.

Are there any other plugins that I need to download to make it work? It's possible I've disabled something by right clicking in the plugin window that was default on, before I knew how to use the plugin manager.

Edit: Is there a debug log or output log that I can run that would give you more information? Or would screenshots help of some kind?

If your merc healer keeps your toons hitpoints above the threshold I wouldn't see why your shaman plugin would try and react. On the settings tab you can scroll down and see the numbers for each type of healing and if it's MA or NotMA. You can adjust those to your liking(this plugin ran out of the box for me with no changes). As far as slow, do you have Turgur's? Only reason I ask is that I never purchase all spells and I can't check as I believe mine uses Turgur's Swarm AA. If you haven't figured out the out of group healing, you will need to check that box in the setting's tab UseXTargetHealing. On your extended target windows you will need to target whomever you want to heal and then right click one of your extended targets and select Target's Target. I seem to recall reading that using #1 ext target window was not advised. I just start from the right or bottom depending on your UI layout. Hope this helps you out a bit.

It's not the healing that's the issue. That part works quite well. It's the slowing and dps that doesn't seem to work. Sham is 95 and does have the turgers aa. I only run four accounts, so out of group isn't an issue. She just never targets the mobs that get pulled for some reason.

Have you made sure you checked the box "UseSlow"? Checking it manually is only good for the time she's online. If you want it permanently you need to type it in.

If i set the shaman to vorpal mode then he will cast the fatigue line on other MT in other group, only way i have found so far, any clue why it does not do it in chase? or assist?

well apparently the shaman only cares about the group that he is on. you might want to have XTARGETBuffing enabled and have an xtraget from that other group set. but if im not mistaken the fatigue line is only set to cast on your MT and MT only

if i have it set to vorpal sometimes the shaman will cast it on the MT of the raid, sometimes, that is the only thing i have found that kind of works

o believe your giving 2 different scenarios. if in raid mode and you have the raid assist set then of course it will cast it on the raid assist

Tried removing mercs, still not doing anything other than healing/buffing/casting apathy on one party member. Tried deleting the ini file and going back to default. Still the same problem. Changing it to puller assist gets her to cast slow, but then she just spams turger AA on cooldown.

There's got to be something I'm missing, so I'll go through what I do.

  1. Open RedGuides Launcher
  2. Open clients
  3. Enter game
  4. /plugin mq2shaman load
  5. Set MA/MT/Puller (I've tried setting MA/MT/Puller before enabling plugin also)
  6. Shaman will rebuff if needed or mem spells
  7. Pull
  8. Shaman targets tank and will heal around 70% with reckless.
  9. Occasionally casts unfettered growth
  10. Occasionally casts Lion on party
  11. Pull ends

Do I need to be running or have set up something like EQBCS or something like that to get this to work? What other plugins are required to be enabled for it to work? Do I need to run any of the other exe's in the release folder first to set something up?

Using the default INI that is created when you enable the plugin, is there anything that needs to change that could solve this issue?

The plugin is installed in veryvanilla/macroquest/release/plugins. Should I try reinstalling everything? Really just at a loss for what's going on here.

Edit:
I'm going to install on my laptop and see if it's the same problem.

Yea, I'm doing that. Do I need to run kissassist on the shaman as well to get the mq2 plugin to work?

Also, if the MT is a merc and the ma/puller is the bard I'm playing, which is not running anything, would that break the plugin?
No.

You definitely do not want to be using conflicting automations concurrently. There are also several things that you have mentioned which sounds like you have some confusion on that would be remedied there.

We don't use eqbc or Dannet (currently) -oitside of broadcast mezzing for mq2enchanter

And to be clear, there isn't anything that a "wipe and reinstall" would do anything, other than change any settings you adjusted to default.

I'd strongly recommend ditching that Merc for a real tank, or at least a real character

sorry to bother you again but is there a way, a toggle a something to make the shaman cast their fatigue line on the MA of a raid? i play 2 groups and my shaman is not in my MT/MA raid group and was wondering how i can get him to cast that on my SK. Thanks
No, not at this time. Many of the ma things would be group specifically ma things.

Yup. It was something to do with using Kissassist originally and messing with settings that caused the issue. Full wipe and reinstall fixed whatever I had done.

It's also possible I had things not pointing to the right places. Either way, it works now. Thanks for the assist.

Question:

i am running my second shaman. although both shamans settings are correct, unlike the first main shaman; the second shaman just doesnt use CANNI at all i have to manually cast click the CANI AA. any thoughts/ideas? Thabnks

we won't canni aa if it is going to take you too low on hps. so if your dude isn't wearing appropriate gear, we're not going to canni

there's nothing to point anywhere, let the RG launcher put things where they need to be - if you're manually moving files around or such, it is probably a wrong decision

Thx Sic for the reply, any idea on the hp-canni threshold?
i mean, yup. sure do =p

You probably don't have enough hps. We won't do it if it is going to take you too low

for the AA it is 20% health
for the spell canni it is 30% health if you have mobs on xtarget, 20% otherwise (this is for low level / old timey eq where that can get you aggro and deadeded)

i believe so since the shaman is still on heroic gear. but whe he is fully buffed he will use the canni aa. this is assuming after fully buffed he has over me t the treshold

over come the threshold

On the compile I have it checked for pet. Problem is pet wont do anything. I can click on a target during a raid and he wont attack. I am in chase mode, tried assist mode and same thing. Any ideas as to why?

a brand new thead called "MQ2 Shaman" is not where you'd want to ask a question. you want to post in the active mq2shaman discussion thread.

Please make sure to check out the sticky

if the mob is not meeting your assist settings: within campradius, at or under your assistat, have group ma set (or raidassist if in raidmode) - then it isn't going to do attacking
you adjust campradius with /shm castradius #
you adjust assist at with /shm assistat #
if you are in raidmode (/shm raidmode on) then you need to set your raidassist /shm raidassist #|Name using either 1, 2, 3, or name

Ok thank you sir

What is the % that Mq2shaman stops dotting named mobs? I see the necro CWTN plugin has the ability to adjust and i know you said you don't have intention to change the mq2shaman from what we discussed earlier, but I want to know the % so we can plan on raids.

we stop a 1 for nameds while in raidmode. 1%
we stop at 30 for nameds not in raidmode. 30%

I'm going to add adjustability for that for the future which will mimic necro

yep, this does not work for that. I had to make a complicated hot button that turns the plugin off, then targets my ma, then casts then turns the plugin back on.
