if you've never used another cwtn plugin you will have to wait until next VV build as the plugin won't create it cause of reasons that are fixed next update =D

been using it for about 6 hours now. and here's what i've seen thus far:
  • sometimes, it gets stuck trying to click epic. i guess it's reporting that the epic is ready when it's not (the refresh timer seems to indicate it's ready as well in those cases, so i think it's likely a bug with EQ rather than with your programming)
  • doesn't cast heal over time. maybe it's personal preference, but I usually keep the group heal over time running when a mob's engaged, especially when i'm not main healing. synergy and all that.
  • no crashes so far, things are mostly running smoothly.
couple of notes/questions:
  • is there a way to toggle off using ferocious growth? or at least detect when a knight is the MA/MT and swap it out with a different spell?
  • can we stop casting regen buffs on the group once we have roar of the lion / dissident roar? once we have those abilities the only time this makes sense is if you're in a caster group and not using roar.

anyways, excellent plugin so far. Love love love the stances.

I believe autostandon duck is broken
Tried unchecking the box and also /shm autostandonduck 0. Both show up as disabled in status window. Confirmed auto stand on duck in alt + O is off as well. I will still stand on ducking. If I /plugin mq2shaman unload, I can stay ducked.

1. yup eq issue - or possibly server latency - nothing we can do with that
2. it uses the group heal over time if your group is taking damage - don't intend on casting that when we use squall so frequently. it is a waste of a cast.
3. yup
4. already added a usegrowth option as mentioned in the thread - you have to wait until next build.
5. same with useregen - can toggle off, but need to wait until next build

Here's what the window will look like next update - and these are the options i usually roll in (stuff dies too fast for me to care about dps or heal stance so i don't really bother too much)

but you can see the option for usegrowth and useregen

it is not broken, it is part of the library so it would make it broken on all of the cwtn plugins - which its not.

I suspect you are in chase mode? chase mode mimics the sit/stand state of the tank - if you want to remain ducked check the icebound avatar video in my signature. All of my toons duck as expected.

I would also double check any mq2events or mq2reacts you have that do anything with your sit/stand state

thanks tons. got excited about the plugin and overlooked it lol. great work guys
yeah spirit call will be an option in next patch too in case you missed the follow up post to the request about the swarm toggle

Hey Sic, loving this plugin, is there something I'm missing with healing in the 50-65 range though? Even at 65, it's still trying to use Kragg's Salve as its primary heal even though it still barely heals my tank unless I get a crit. Not sure if there is a box I'm missing, or if it's just an HPS thing I'm unaware of. I only ask because I also play on TLPs, and without AA's I can see Kraggs falling off real fast if it doesn't get upgraded in the auto heal situation til beyond 65.

If your using CWTN stuff it is part of the package. If your not, you would have to write a GUI plugin to translate for whatever flavor of program your using.

Any idea why he's still casting talisman of celerity with "UseHaste" unchecked? (I have an enchanter in group). It's really not a huge deal as I have it blocked it on the character is really matters for (SK likes to get buff locked), just wondering. Looks like you are addressing everything else I've noticed!

Should be fixed in update @Atrocity

We missed a line of code for the UI in the update @Mollkar, as I said when I responded to your PM. You'd need to either load a different CWTN Plugin and then reload your UI (MQ2Enchanter is also in open beta and adds the XML as needed) or wait for the update to MQ2Shaman.
User that currently have no issues with the window already have another CWTN plugin.

the individual haste casts aren't even in the live build so dunno where you're seeing that - unless you mean what you get FROM focus - in which case there isn't a way to selectively uninclude items from focus. if an item from focus isn't blocked - its going to cast it if you're missing it

Now that I look through the log that appears to the case. My shaman has 100% been a box toon (I've never played it for real), so I kinda forgot haste was mixed in there. I'll just have to block it on everyone.

Something I have noticed:

If my SK's Helix of the Undying slow is on the mob, mq2shm and mq2enc will not slow the mob. I haven't noticed this with Crippling Slicer. Maybe this can't be changed?

already changes to slow as i've mentioned a few times in the thread. - originally my place holder was just "any slow" but now we check if our slow is better than what is on the mob.

Sorry I missed that.

I'm so excited for this one, I'm already much happier with it than the KA ini I was using before. A couple things I've noticed, when I uncheck autodismount, it automatically reselects it next time I play, and I had an issue today where the toon was stuck in some kind of loop. I couldn't tell what he was doing, visually it looked like ducking and standing over and over, but it was trying to take some kind of action because it was interrupting typing into chat windows, I might get one letter typed between whatever action it was trying to take. Eventually I was able to type the unload message typed and it quit, and it worked fine again after loading it back up. I never got a casting message and he never opened the spellbook so I couldn't tell what he was trying to do unfortunately so it probably isn't much help diagnosing.

The ui window does not save your settings. you need to issue a slash command if you want to save them. It is in the UI video as well as the FAQ
Q. The UI Window Doesn't save my settings?
A. This is intentional. The UI acts as a "hot swap" allowing you to adjust on the fly. If you want to "save" your settings, adjust it with the slash command.
Explained here > UI Video @ 9:10 <

it sounds like you might have had a macro running which was trying to fight the plugin and memorize an alternative spell? it is suggested to not run a conflicting macro. or you may have had a react of event forcing him to sit or stand when he was trying to do otherwise. I would suggest checking you have anything conflicting running.

No macros were running, and I apologize for missing the settings issue, thanks for the direction.

First off big fan of the other CWTN plugins. I've used the rogue and cleric and love them. A large part of why I picked up the cleric was it's versatility, no longer needing to fiddle w/ the ini if group makeup or environment changed. Just a quick click here and there and it goes from raid to group, group w/ other priests, to solo healer.

I raid main a shaman, and it's my favorite class in current EQ. Unlike some classes it's incredible flexible, and also limited by available gem slots; the group game is very different from the raid game. That said; Squall is primarily a raid heal. Group heals in the group game are recourse line, intervention spell line and intervention AA. Please put in a toggle for squall, it's not as amazing as this plugin thinks it is. Any Primary healer spell load out at or near max level is based upon 3x reckless heals, Intervention heal, Recourse and renewal (to proc alliance only), with MAYBE having squall as a backup group heal instead of a buff/debuff/dot.

Possible bugs-
It's not even casting recourse spell, and its using the spot it auto loads recourse as a spell swap gem. Given the refresh on recourse you may want to look at that.
It's not slowing or using malo even if those are checked.

I totally understand that this is your project and based on several posts above you dislike criticism of the "playstyle" of this plugin. I get that. Just making the request that it's more flexible to the playstyle others prefer.

Regards

Thank you for your input.
This is a bot - this isn't "this is how kamor plays when he plays manually".
it does cast recourse when needed - it is not going to "just keep it up"
I understand about squall and this is how mq2shaman will be. Plenty of other very solid options out there if you want it to be customized to your specific choices.
i already mentioned several times about the updates coming to slow and talo. several. times.

re: criticism - feedback and suggestions are perfectly great - I get them all day 24/7 non-stop. What people often don't understand is that a "one trick out the box thing that does X" isn't going to play like you play, or like i play or like how any one individual person plays. if you don't like it, i'm very sorry to hear that - I make adjustments where it makes sense, and i don't where I don't think it does. Just because someone wants something specifically tailored to them doesn't mean it makes sense for the way this thing functions or is programed. Sometimes its just a choice - sometimes it is a programmatic restriction - sometimes there are underlying reasons why something is the way that it is. At the end of the day i read, re-read, re-re-read, and go through every. single. suggestion that someone has, and every. single. feedback that someone provides and i have a long list of things to check "does this make sense in the scope of what i'm doing". I'm sorry you don't like it, I'm sorry you don't like my process, and I'm sorry that you feel that I don't like criticism. These bots aren't magical AI that are perfect - they are bots. they just "do stuff" when they meet certain conditions. There are plenty of options out there for customizing how you think things should be.

it is pretty condescending and obnoxious to suggest that if someone doesn't get their personal choices/preferences for something that is desgined to "do things without configuration" that I dislike criticism. Just because someone suggests something doesn't mean it is going to happen. again - sorry.

I've already made adjustments to "where" squall takes places - as I've already mentioned in this thread - for if/when there is a "dire situation" that would be more beneficial to cast something else instead.

But seriously - i'm sorry you feel the way you do. Hopefully you find something that fits your needs.

We've also pushed 68 Pushes to our repo since this was built on patch last Wed. 68. and there have been 200 replies in this thread since Wed morning.

2. it uses the group heal over time if your group is taking damage - don't intend on casting that when we use squall so frequently. it is a waste of a cast.
I'm not sure it's a waste, group hot triggers the Shaman synergy... who wouldn't want an additional 21.6k on their Squall?

Did the Griklor EW Raid last night with many toons running CWTN plugins. Shamans seems to be hit or miss running MQ2Shaman, so fucking killed it on heals and others seemed less than desirable.

Not sure why 1 of them wasn't casting Wintry Gift at all and why others weren't Squalling like the others.

Sounds like user error.

You need an ma set, sounds like they didnt have one

can't explain the squall but no gift, coz normally those two are tightly sequentially coupled. Will defer to Professor Sic.

WRT to differential spells counts etc, in raids, i find that my CWTN plugin characters sometimes get stuck trying to fire a clicky like the epic. Macroquest returns the item is ready but it actually isn't. The plug will spend the item's real cooldown trying to spam said item to the exclusion of everything else. Don't know if its a latency problem, but it definitely manifests across all the plugins. Generally, catastrophic when it occurs on cleric and shaman. unloading / reloading plugin doesn't resolve it.

Would be really interested if you see the same issue.

It all depends on what the shammy sees at the miliscond it checks to see if there's anyone who needs healing. If there isn't it won't heal. If there is it will. It checks in group toons faster than it checks xtargets so shammy toons in a tank or melee dps group taking damage will heal more. While a shammy in a ranged or caster group will likely heal less.

I've been loving this plugin. Thanks for all the work on it and ill def be buying it to add to the collection!!

If EQ says the item is ready, we trust it and try to use it.
