MQ2Rogue

Plugin - MQ2Rogue (8 Viewers) 3.1.52471.11

Make sure the warrior is set as the group's MA.
That the toon is in the correct mode.
That the warrior is bringing the mob into the camp.

So I'm travelinh and in a hotel in Texas. I loaded up a few toons but they won't assist my warrior unless i do it manual. Enchanter doesn't mezz rog/zerker/shm won't assist. any idea on why? All are connected to eqbc.
also possible you don't have meshes / mq2nav setup on your laptop?

Thanks guys it appears i was dumb and didn't have the tank set to group assist. Can we put it on a long day of flying?

I'm new to these plugins and still watching all of sics videos. you guys did a great job with them. well worth the money and making boxing less stressful and having loads of fun again.

check out MQ2Autogroup (there's a vid in my sig) which will invite all your dudes and auto-set your roles so you don't have to sweat it.

so i was going thru the rog window and noticed this.. exelsburn what does this do??!

considers Executioner as a burn instead of a normal combat ability that is used during a normal combat routine. It was implemented for TLP servers.

if you mouse over the window you get a tooltip that tells you

"If on, treat Executioner Line as a burn ability, and only use when burn conditions are met."

i am using MQ2 Rogue, and my interface window is gone, anyone know how to bring it back?

Slade and Uyndaio are correct, it is /rog show

you should watch the video on the CWTN UI and will likely answer questions you didn't know you had! as as slade pointed out, the commands are in the resource commands tab as well > here <

Anyway to add poison click pants and to apply it?
yup
did you watch the mq2rogue video? <--- its roughly 15 minute mark to review the pants/poison

even an item about poisons in the FAQ

Q. I added my leggings to clicky using /rog addclicky summon #, but now I can't pick up my poison to add it to downtime using /rog addclicky downtime
A. Because the leggings are a summon the plugin will auto inventory the poison, so you want to add the poison first, then add the leggings. If you've already added the leggings, you can pause the plugin /rog pause on, then do the poison, and then unpause the plugin /rog pause off

Any way i can get my rogue to kill out of group?
we currently do not have built-in out of group assisting - you can either use a social hotkey to call it to attack your target, or another type of macro with out of group assisting built-in - if you use a complete combat macro for this, be warned that you can and will have conflicting behavior if that macro is trying to do any abilities, movement, or state management (hide/sneak, etc)

damn, Thanks for the info

how could i get the rogue to attack?
you could have them in manual mode, and send them a target and tell them to nav to it and start attacking

Bunch of ways to do it - but (without checking it) something like:

/bct roguename //multiline ; /target id ${Target.ID}; /timed 3 /nav id ${Target.ID}; /timed 5 /attack on

So does this plugin work at all levels without tweaking the discs and clickies etc? Or optimized for 115 by default? Also, what payment options are there? I'm locked out of my PayPal and that seems like what most eq-related stuffs use.

all the cwtn plugins have the abilities from 0 - 115 and it automagically adjusts as you lvl

Howdy Vollxx, Make sure to give the mq2rogue FAQ and give the mq2rogue video a view

these are both correct - if you want to use a mode that isn't manual mode, you need mq2nav and meshes setup.

Q. Trying to go mode 1 but says I need a mesh?
A. The plugins require mq2nav for movement. You will need to run the mesh updater in your RedGuide's Launcher. Please watch the video > HERE <

All of the cwtn plugins also unload mq2melee due to conflicting/duplicate behavior.

Hello and thank you very much for your help.

I have taken care of the mesh issues. The problem I am having now, it seems I can get it as far as having to attack manually and then he will use all of the commands. He will not just get up and attack like others do with /mac kissassist

I have looked through many of the discussions and posts and am having a difficult time seeing this as an issue for others and any answered resolves. It is also not in the FAQ area.

Thank you again.

Ok first off you don't need to to run kissassist on the rogue using MQ2Rogue, if that's what your doing, next you must make sure your main tank is set as the main assist, then you make sure your MQ2Rogue is set to mode Assist, at this point, assuming you've changed no settings, the rogue will fight when the main assists target hit's 98% or less health

that is because you're trying to run kissassist on top of mq2rogue - you shouldn't do this as they are conflicting things. mq2rogue is a completely stand alone combat automation thing and does not require kissassist.

if you do, do this - for some reason - you can't have usemq2melee=1 --- which the only reason you would do this is for out of group assisting, in which case you would have usemq2melee=0 and the ini would otherwise be blank.

I hope this is the right place to post this. If not, I apologize.

I am using MQ2Rogue, MQ2Cleric, MQ2Monk, MQ2Berzerker, MQ2Eskay and MQ2Enchanter.

Before the last EQ patch everything worked perfectly but now my Rogue will not run out to grab the Monks corpse if he dies during a pull.

I have tried unloading and reloading the plugin.
I tried relogging everything multiple times.
I have tried turning off the "Autocorpsegrab" option both manually with a /rog autocorpsegrab off then on again with a /rog autocorpsegrab on. I can see the changes take affect in the options tab.
I'm using the same mesh that I was using before the last patch.

If I manually take over and run the Rogue out to the Monks corpse, when I get close and target the corpse, MQ2Rogue will take over and bring the corpse back to camp.

Is there a limit to how far the Rogue will run out to grab a corpse? (Although, this was not an issue before the patch)

Thanks for any suggestions anyone might have.

Make sure the auto sneak hide option is on, if it's not I noticed the rogue won't go grab bodies

Thank you, I forgot to add that to the list.
I keep the Rogue in auto hide/sneak mode.
Do you know if there is a limit to how far out the Rogue can retrieve a corpse or is it zonewide?

Check out the mq2rogue video part on the grabbing the corpse > HERE <

your person is likely off of mesh or in an otherwise ungrabbable location

You need:
to be in a camp mode so you have a starting and return location
valid mq2nav path to/from the corpse
not in combat / no xtarget mobs

Try right clicking the corpse in the group window and selecting “run to”. If that fails you know it’s a mesh issue where you don’t have a good path or the corpse is in an unlucky spot. If that works then you must not have a camp set as the rogue needs to have somewhere to return to.

I remember watching that now... duh.

Getting old sucks. CRS syndrome creeps up on you.

Yep, it's losing track of the corpse and dropping it, then it says it is going back out to get it but can't and just stands there until I manually get to where it can create a path to it and it takes over.

Thanks for the help Sic!

What exactly is the advantage, other than not having to update discs/aas? Does the plugin just work that much better? I prefer to be minimalist and use the fewest plugins and tools necessary outside the actual fights, so I'm wondering if I'd be better off just finding and tweaking the right ini than buying and reconfiguring the plugin- if I can even minimize things outside combat. I don't understand the necessity for meshes in it if all I want nav-wise is the stick. Other things I can't remember right now. What are your experiences with the two? Is there a big advantage to the plugin I'm not seeing? Are the best inis still just not as good in combat?

the plugins aren't magical - they can't make your automated rogue do anything more that a rogue can do, they can't suddenly cast fireball or drive a race car. the plugins that cwtn and i put together are just intended to take away the work of updating/creating inis and just "doing their job" without any fiddling. you can do all the content with kissasist, or muleassist, or rgmercs, or core/entropy, or modbot, or xgen, or even using mq2melee with a holy/downs or if you were wild and crazy, mq2react or some other homebrew method. the cwtn plugins are just a "press and go" solution.

We do, however, have many functions and features that either a: aren't found elsewhere, or b: you might be able to do but with some heavy setup.

For example: mq2rogue will auto go and get your corpse if it can. our addclicky functionality will automatically summon and apply your poisons/mounts/familiar buffs - you can add cure clickies to automatically cure a type that matches.

If you haven't already watched the MQ2Rogue video, give it a watch.

If you prefer to have granular control of what/when/how/where your dudes do stuff, you would definitely get ansty with the cwtn plugins, as they aren't intended to be like that.

as far as mq2nav goes - you are severely limiting yourself some some absolutely huge QoL features by not using mq2nav - both from a team automation standpoint, and just a single toon "makes my life easier" point of view.

@ToeJamSamy the cwtn plugins are also free to try on the test server with your lvl 2 RG subscription - so if its something you just want to get your hands on to give a whirl and experience first hand - you can /testcopy your toons to test, and load up the plugins and take em for a spin

Thanks for the reminder. I keep forgetting that is available.

Thank you for the info Sic.

I've been doing some more testing and have more info:

I keep the Rogue is Assist mode so there is a camp set.

Not in combat nor have any xtarget mobs.

I have verified that I do indeed have a valid path to the corpse.

When the Rogue runs out to get the Monk it will start to drag it back to camp then it will drop it and lose track of it with a message in the output window that it is trying again but it never moves out of camp.

I can then do a /target monk and then a /nav target and it immediately starts to go to the corpse and drag it back. I have recreated this 3 times now. As I said before everything was working fine before the last EQ patch. I have not added or removed any plugins, macros or such. I am stumped and will still do more testing. I'm going to try different zones and see if the problem happens there as well.

Update Edit: It appears to be a mesh error even though I can manually do a /nav target. I have tried to recreate my problem in other zones but everything works correctly in all other zones that I have tried.

Thank you all for your help and advice with this!

Few questions. Can I use this in manual mode, and use KA to /chase and assist so I can avoid the whole mesh requirements? If so, what all do i need to turn off in the KA ini? I was doing fine with KA in that regard before, but the dps was horrid. I didn't realize that no matter what mode I was in other than Manual, I absolutely needed mesh(don't understand why really if staying put or following close, but if i can use KA to handle that part it's fine)

Also, when it spits out the missing abilities etc, does it also put that in a text file somewhere? And is there a way to turn on a parser? (KA was doing that, which is fine too if i gotta use it, i just didn't see one in the ui) Certainly seems much better dps than I was getting, but at the same time, everyone logged into loads more AA's today too, so what's what i'm not sure exactly, I just trust that this plays much better than an ini.

you can.

you are severely screwing yourself by doing that. but if you want you need a blank kiss ini and usemq2melee=0

it does not split out your abilities to a file - eq has that built in however /outputfile missingspells zzzz-${Me.Name} would create a file named zzzz-ToeJameSamy in your release folder with your spells/ranks that are missing.

MQ2DPSAdv is the plugin for parsing, we don't do any parsing inside the cwtn plugins.

I can't possibly stress to you how much harder you're making your life without having meshes, and using the cwtn assist/chase modes. it also becomes impossible to give you help when you start having curious behavior.

it is not a lot of work to get mq2nav functional and meshes loaded up. > HERE <
