Plugin - MQ2Mage 3.1.52471.11

Hi All,
I noticed that my mage is not auto accepting a 90% rez but my other toons (mq2war,mq2enchater,mq2shaman) do auto accept the 90% rez. I did not see a setting for accepting a rez. Any suggestions on what to check that might be causing this for my mage?
MQ2rez controls that, not MQ2mage. Your post will be moved, but EQ button, MQ button, MQ2 rez, lets you set % and time delay.

mq2rez handles accepting rezzes, the cwtn plugins only cast them :p

we also don't change your rez settings in any way
 
Only recently my mage continues to cast the cauldron even while paused.
Is this expected behavior?

I looked for any toggle settings and did not see any.
For now I have Deactivated the cauldron.

do what now? we don't automatically do anything with the cauldron, only if you added it to downtime (which doesn't happen while paused).

unless you can show me a snip of you being paused it mq2mage saying it is using the downtime clicky - which would be wildly unusual since no other downtime clickies do that

are you running a concurrent lem or Lua that is doing that, because i dont think it is us.

imo, outside of things like copIV, or horn/feathers, you're probably hurting your dps by slapping a bunch of clickies. *eyeballs rabbits*

what about those minion clickies or the orb etc do they hurt mage dps?
 
I've noticed that Mq2mage has a complicated relationship with the short duration buffs mages have. Chaotic, Iceflame, and Symbiosis. in addition to burnout and coat damage shields, it can get out of control of memming, unmeming spells, then switching back to combat spell lineup whenever you pull a new mob, which causes a massive reduction of dps. I think it would be beneficial to mq2mage if it would finish buffing or keep the buff spell up until it gets a chance to rebuff. It has no problem doing so with summon orb and personal rod lines of spells. In addition to being inconvenient, the constant spam of mem/unmem spells might be something which gives away you're using programs.

we do that. unless you're using combat memorizing via combatsummonpet and you get into combat, then it is going to swap back to combat spells for combat, since you turned on the combat memorizing "combatsummonpet"

it isnt using pets. Its the misc slot and random buffs between fights. It mems buff, then combat starts, and swaps back to the other spell that is in that slot over and over and over again between fights. It's not doing what it's supposed to if it does what you say. If I am in combat and a pet dies it works fine. Its just endlessly swapping spells between fights until i pause it and cast the short duration buffs manually. If i wasnt killing stuff so fast it wouldnt be an issue, but I am and it isnt actually casting the buff between fights unless its gather zeal, unity, or a buff i have memorized already.

I DO want it to cast buffs. I do want it to change spell gems... I just want it to finish casting the buffs it changes gems to. For some buffs and abilities it's doing it, for the short majority it is not. It's going back to combat spell lineup before it starts casting the buff it mem'd. Meming and unmemming spells for no resolution. If it starts casting its fine, if it didnt, it forgets the spell, and remems whatever the combat lineup is. There's like 4 or 5 spells, you cant BYOS all of those spells into your lineup.

I'm uninterested in the typical myysterio back-and-forth and "sic repeats himself with the same thing" with you about this, so this will be my final response with you about it.

Turn off combatsummonpet if you don't want it to change your spell gems in combat.

otherwise, if it went to swap to a buff gem because you're not out of combat, but now you have mobs on xtarget, it will put your gem BACK to the spell we want to have memorized for fighting purposes.

so if you have a very short amount of downtime between mobs, you'll end up memorizing stuff over and over because *you*, the driver/puller isn't giving it time to do what it needs to do YET you are telling it (via CombatSummonPet) to "during combat please cast pet, petbuffs, and ensure gem is the gem we want for combat".

it IS NOT going to cast a buff we are only set to cast during downtime - during combat, but we WILL swap back to our combat spell if you have CombatSummonPet turned on, as mentioned.

you can always check your mage's ${CWTN.HaveBuffsToCast} if you're unsure if it has buffs it wants to cast.

This is the exact opposite of what I'm asking. I have never said i don't want it to cast buffs. I want it to finish casting buffs it mems instead of forgetting them and going to a different spell lineup. I don't know where you're getting this from.

I actually had no idea that's what causes them to swap back and forth when you don't give them enough time to buff. Very useful information, thank you Sic.

I also wanted to mention something I've noticed that I thought was worth discussing. During the UF > CotF eras, there is a DS spell line called "Surge of". There is only 4 versions of this DS line, but it is more damage than SkinDS at least UF through TDS. Surge of Shadow in RoF gives 48 stacks of a 4121 melee DS and 3064 spell DS that lasts ~10m with AAs on a 30s recast, where-as the SkinDS in the same era (Infernal Skin) is only 2372 melee DS with 4 stacks that lasts 60s on 15s recast. And even the one in TDS is only 3269 dmg with 4 stacks.

Perhaps there's something I do not understand about the SkinDS line though. Just thought it was worth a mention.

My mage did not hand out weapons to enchanter pet consistently. I had to hand out weapons to this pet manually. He gave weapons to SK pet.
I am not sure if my setup is off, or if it is a known/ intentional issue. In case it wasn't noticed...now, you know it. :)

I think it only gives weapons to pets that does not have something already. Enchanter pets have stuff already.

We use elemental form if eq/mq says you don't have it, and it stacks with your current buffs (meaning you have open buff slots, it doesn't appear to conflict with other buffs etc.)

What rank of Elemental Form do you have? Do you somehow have a previous elemental form, that is conflicting with a new rank of the spell?

what red eq error messages are you getting when it casts? You will need to check what the error is, and then base what you need to do on that

Well.

Something is preventing the buff from happening. A conflict would result in an eq red error message

I would check all your blocked buffs, and click off all your buffs/songs and then try again

That's pretty weird.

We also check blocked buffs too, you may have had another rank/version of it blocked which resulted in eq not letting a different rank/version land.

I'm using this in conjunction with MQ2Buffme and when I do the /tell mageman buffme all, he only gives the DS and a pet weapon bag. Is it also possible to add the spells Grant Ankexfen's Heirlooms, Grant the Alloy's Plate, and Grant Visor of Usira? These will complete a pet with a full set of armor / off slots.

first i dont know where to post this question. when i run my group in chase mode. and they are invised, when we go into battle. my mage will not drop invis. i have to manually drop his invis for him to start his rotation. what is going on? what am i doing wrong ?

if it was for mq2mage, you won't break invis unless you have a camp set, unless you're set to melee and you meet your conditions to otherwise engage.

You can make a hotkey to "/dgga /makemevis" to drop invis on your group and then they should assist in most cases. Depending on what plugin(s) you're using of course.

Sounds good dude. Glad you're sorted out.

Figuring out how to navigate the forums is going to make your life much easier when you do run into a bump.

Most resources have an overview page and either a link to a wiki or tabs that have info and such.

I have been noticing when I do the Hodstock Hills raid, the toon is really close to the main named, even though the melee range is much further back. So this places them in the aura when they move the mob. I have tried using the stick command in those cases to move back to 50, but then it really looks automated as the toon keeps shifting back and forth as the mob shifts around.

So my queston is this: Is there a way to change the distance the plugin moves from a mob other than using the stick? If not, and I need to use the stick, is there a stick command I can use that looks less bot like? My current stick command is below that I have been using on those raids. I just have to hotkey the stick off and on when I am switching between the named or the adds. The distance on the adds is correct and works well.

unfortunately i've been fielding a bunch of messages about this. and getting some nasty angry interactions due to it.

sorry to hear you're having trouble as well - hopefully some of this info helps - and i appreciate you bringing it up on the boards so other's can chime in with solutions they've found

stick is pretty simple and straight forward, it just does what it does.

mobs, especially large or floating mobs can be really tricky with their distance/size and where their 3d distance is calculated from. This gets trickier when you're trying to not stand in poop

if you're trying to really micromanage your positioning, you would probably want to turn off using stick, and have a Lua script continually monitor where you are to readjust as you're going while in manual mode

when we go to nav to a mob (anything not in manual mode) we nav to within 10 of the mob, and then we turn on stick. that nav-to distance is not modifiable (intentionally and on purpose)

I don't know specifically, if there's a stick command that would better suite you, but loose is a thing, might be worth checking it out (manual mode, manually issue stick with loose
