MQ2Mage

Plugin - MQ2Mage (1 Viewer) 3.1.52471.11

nothing was changed there

so likely stacking?
cwtn buffs not loaded etc?

is your single spell higher than your group spell?

same as the usual

you didn't give too much information to go by there so my answer is "no there is not a reason"

"i don't think i changed anything"

did you level and now your single is better than your group? like lvl 116 vs the 115 group spell

"description shows the 115 group spell"
circle of igneous coat is 114, are you talking about something else?

he has been 120 since like a couple weeks after tol came out. his DS line is as follows :

Thank you
im sorry, you didnt' answer any of my questions.

I know what the spells look like, i shared it with you :p

you said "description shows the 115 group spell" but there isn't a 115 group ds, which is why i was asking if we were talking about the same thing.

> How to Request Help <

Before i can look into anything i have to make sure we're talking about the same thing.

since nothing changed in the plugin, it makes me believe there is either a: an issue where we are not talking about the same thing or b: something in mq/eq changed --- but before i can spend the time trying to figure that out, i have to know we're talking about the same things.

Got it. So no setting to keep on going if there is a corpse nearby? Not sure if that could be added or if it is worth it.
Nope. Intentionally and specifically.

:P

Can also drag it far away, but prolly should rez your corpses

Got to say - thank you team.

I've now bought quite a few cwtn plugins and my rogue had just hit max aa's at 120 so thought I'd give a go on this one next (magician on same account as rogue) I must say - my mage is now level 117 and on non humanoid mobs is matching the average dps of the rogue non burn etc and is actually making me consider dropping my berserker (also 120 max aa) and levelling another mage to replace him? Sound crazy?

Really impressed considering the mage is rather neglected - snowsquall gear plus a few droppable items.

Great plugin! Thank you

mages are doing really well - make sure you're pairing it with other toons with swarm pets and regular pets for the OfMany line

Yes, I'm hugely impressed, He's running in a team with a Bard (using your INI) BL & SK currently so there can frequently be large amounts of extra pets on mobs. Thanks again.

I use
/mag ModRod - This will force mq2mage to cast the Modulation Shard AA, despite personally having the summoned rod or not.
to summon the Large Modulation Shards from my off group Mage. I was wondering if there is something similar for the Rods of Spectral Transvergence.?

No

Chat/Sic,
I have mentioned before of an error I get where my mages eventually stop giving weapons to their pet and get stuck doing nothing in a fight after they cast the Summoned pack and open it, the bag that hold the weapons stays on cursor (normally drops into inventory along with the weapons not given out). I finally realized this happens only after I die and zone to bind location. If I get a rez while still in 'hover' mode, all is ok. This seems consistent for me. I don;t see many people complaining about it, so it could be a my computer situation, as I have said I get issues with EQ and MQ after some days online, and is fixed by a reboot. So I'm not sure if its something I can tell more detail about. I do no not get any error message, only the spam that the mage cannot put the weapon satchel anywhere, even though I have LOTS of bag space and he did not have any issue doing the same thing before the death+zoning.

K thx, none of that really sounds like a reason for anything, but I'll take a look. Im wondering if zoning with a summoned item on cursor is causing issues for eq/mq, but I dunno.

I don't need a reply, but I'd double check you don't have any cfgs doing anything upon entering those zones that might conflict.

10/10 suggest less dying tho :p

Sorry I am late to the party. I seem to remember on one or two occaisions my mage also not doing anything and I did notice the summoned pack on the cursor. This was a while ago so I do not recall any surrounding/simultaneous events. I do remember asking about having an open inventory slot for the summoned pack. Maybe that's why I posted a while ago with that question. Just wanted to say something to let you know, Redfrog, that you are not alone in observing the pack on the cursor occurrence.

Be well. Happy gaming.

So I have been raising a group of 6 mages using this plugin. I am keeping this group in the PoP era so currently they are all around lvl 60ish, but they will all be lvling to lvl 65 and maxxing AA's along the way. I realize that this plugin isn't necessarily created for this use case, but hopefully my experience can be useful nonetheless.

The biggest overall issue that I have had is that one of these mages is the puller of the group. So the puller runs off, targets a mob, then gets agro, runs back to the group and engages. I would like to compliment how well pulling works for a mage. The pet is very well controlled on the way back to the group. However, there are two problems I have encountered when pulling with a mage.

The first is when the mob doesn't quite get close enough to the group for the group to assist before the pet starts attacking the mob. This results in the pet solo tanking the mob and the group not assisting. This doesn't happen very often, but I have noticed it multiple times, and it does cause my pet to die. Since I am running 6 epic mages and trying to use the epic pet as much as possible minimizing the number of times my pet dies is quite important.

The second issue that I have been having is that if the puller targets a mob and pulls back to group, but there was another mob close by that agros the puller at the same time then it often times seems that the pet targets the mob that the puller does not target and it causes puller to attempt to solo that mob. The rest of the group does not assist with spells or by sending in the pet.

Anyone else been having these issues or know how I could solve them?

Just a thought. When the puller comes back, is he just out side the camp radius of the rest of the group?

I think default CWTN radius is 60 which outdoors might not be large enough. Also, is there any elevation difference? I believe the default Z height is +/- 30.

Just some thoughts while I have my second cup of coffee.

Be well. Happy automating.

Very possibly. I will set the camp radius of the rest of the group to be slightly higher than the puller.

Or if you see the others don’t engage, you can always use the VV button for Come to Me. That should draw the others closer and then after the fight they will head back to the center of the camp.

Second cup of coffee just kicked in.

Be well. Happy Labor Day weekend Double EXP.

this is correct, if you engage at mob at a camp value of 60, and the mob is 61 from the other toons with a camp of 60 (because of where everyone's camp is set in relation to one another), you're not going to engage them.

adjust your camps

with a non-pet tank, you would see this less frequently, as we always return to center of camp then turn to engage and nav to the mob - pets can do pet stuff, plus can be trailing etc
I typically recommend having a tank at ~45 campradius, and rest of the team 60 (unless fighting giant mobs etc)

the ultimate winning would be just have one in huntertank mode, and the rest in chase - bring the party to them! bang boom whack schlazm

Mage in PullerTank mode stops doing anything after summoning a Radiant Modulation Shard on his cursor. Once manually dropping it in inventory he picks back up again.

can you replicate this with the mage in foreground watching it happen?

No. I'm guessing it is like the spell book sticking open.

Any drawbacks from using the clearcursor.lua at 10s?
well. that's up to you - but i'd rather fix it =p

I have a workaround for it, and will see if i can find it - i haven't been able to replicate it, and often times i hear about it is like "so i was afk and then something on cursor" - which makes me wonder if their monitor is going to sleep or something.

I have a suspicion where it is happening, due to it stopping completely but shouldn't be a thing.

My uneducated guess it what on your cursor is different to than what we think it is, or there is some broader mq bug with item on cursor where you have something in second cursor but we think it is first

but i'll have a work around for it here shortly.

I prefer and happily anticipate the fix, but while I wait, what is Clearcursor.Lua? I looked and cannot find it. It may help solve an issue I have been having, would like to test it out.

well i already did and rebuilt the fix, so run the patch - i'm not sure why the automatic notes didn't update, but i already sent it through and hit the rebuild button --- checking the commit, and it is correct, so it has the update.

basically we will do an additional check for our regular inventory "gonna drop stuff in 15" before we do other stuff

Thanks man, I'll update up. I looked online redguides and googly and cannot find clearcursor Lua...I'm intrigued. Plus I have been trying to learn the Lua thing..slow and sorta successful, but I think I gots lots to learn.

Found this because I was also curious about Lua scripting but have not played with it yet.

we already do this with 15s timer (with ability to turn it off temporarily in case you're crafting or bag managing) for just *random* stuff, and instantly for summoned items.
having other stuff randomly doing stuff gets into the "competing automation" territory and can and will cause problems. 0/10 would not recommend.
the update i did ensures that we're still checking the 15s timer even if we think we're doing something else, so as to double ensure something summoned gets stuck on the cursor.

@Cannonballdex @Redfrog happy friday ya'll

can you let me know if you still run into an issue.

what *should* happen is summoned item stuck on cursor, but we do the autoinventory like we would if something random ended up on cursor, instead of instantly autoinventorying it like we *try* when we have a summoned item we just summoned - where we do the countdown and autoinventory it.

Soon as I get home I'll go take it for a spin with some combat
EDIT: oops, and Good Morning to you as well Sic-o ! (Hmm...that might not work-o )
