well at least in the meantime - if you're in a tank mode you're going to tank. as its not adjusted for "pet tanking mode" at this time. - its just "Tank Mode" currently, meaning you want to be in front of the mob, and attacking and doing tanking type things.

so I would either a: not use a tank mode for the time being, or b: turn on usemelee, and get used to being up in the mobs face - you could also try turning off usestick and see if that helps resolve your situation for the time being.

Thanks I had turned off the Usestick=off but he then pet wouldn't engage half the time. This newer content can cause a big faill if the mob takes mage aggro instead of pet, its a wipe for my setup. I love MQ2cleric, if this plugin had a PetTank Mode I Will buy! It greatly increased my DPS versus KA.
 
Awesome so far My Mage is my main been using mq2eskay and mq2rogue for a while so far so good only issue I see is it will make new weapons even if you have a bag already causing to spam the chat window but all else is Great

I apologize for my ignorance and I'm probably missing or or have not seen a post but in regards to your pets is there any way to to cast AA ability Fortify companion frenzied burnout or host in the shell automatically?

Frenzied burnout isn't an AA anymore - it is Companion's Fury

Companion's Fury get's used during burns
Companion's Fortification get's used when your pet has aggro

No host in the shell atm, but would be if your pet was tanking (edit, should be in next update; thanks for the reminder)

Iirc, there is an item that you get from the cauldron that is the same lore group as the paradox. Can't remember what it's called, but I had that problem with Kiss a while back.
Thanks for the input, it was as you said ...a Cauldron Item called Ether-Fused Shard. That was what was causing the entire problem. No need to turn off Paradox now.

thanks you headed that one off for me.. I was wracking my brain trying to figure out what the hell was causing that conflict, and i ended up turning off paradox.. now i can turn back on :)
 
Question, not sure why but the mage memorizes Chaotic Bestowal before casting Thaumaturge's Unity(which includes that spell), then unmemorized it.

i know its a long shot , but its where a way to add a clicky to change your pet's appearance , like if you have that item lciky that makes your pet appear something else.

yup, you're in luck, downtime clickies already handle this

there are 1 or 2 items that don't cast the spell they say they cast - so you can't use sporali pet illusion, for example, most just about all others work.

Also in regard to spells at level 46. When I load the plugin I get this:

It doesn't appear to load a malo spell? There should be Malaisement at level 44.

It also does not put many spells onto the bar. Here is a picture of the spells the plugin will mem when it is loaded with an empty spell bar at 46:

If you try to manually cast the spell without malachite on you, what does the EQ message say is missing reagent. It's getting the information from the Spell data, and all others (that I know of) are correct (or they wouldn't cast pet spells), so I'm interested in knowing if EQ shows something else.

no, its an issue - it is returning the focus2 from the spell info because it thinks that it has a noexpend reagent required

I was able to successfully cast the spell manually
 
Admittedly I haven't read through the entire string so I apologize if this has been answered already.

Would it be possible to add an option to completely stop casting the AA mod rod? Just going to give an example of why it may be a good idea, though it's probably a rare situation

One of my mages is bugged somehow as to when I try to cast the Mod Rod AA, it says he can't because it's a duplicate lore item. I've done all the usual...checked bank, shared bank, house, guild, etc. It's also not a situation of having a glowing or any other sort of mod rod that a mage can cast.

I have a ticket open with them on it. GM already logged him in once and tried to fix, so it's definitely a bug. I tried turning off the group cast setting (Sorry, I don't have the game launched at the moment so I can't remember the exact name of the option), but he still keeps casting it. Once they fix it, I'm sure it'll be fine, but yeah, again, this is a rare thing, but for those running multiple mages, they may not want all of them casting that mod rod anyways.

Love the plugin though, and the issue that I have on that one mage certainly isn't plugin/MQ2 related.

well couple things

there isn't a way to turn it off - but importantly, did your friend download the updated file that i put in this thread earlier today (guess yesterday at this point)? kinda not expecting it to help your friend since appears to be an eq bug, but its possible

Ok thanks for the info. I just tried the new file and same thing. No biggie, just figured I"d check. If it's not possible, it's not possible. They escalated my ticket so I"ll just wait for them to fix it. Just anxious to get this sorted so it's working on all 3 of my mages. Thanks for the reply.
 
I tried this plugin with my 94 mage and a couple of issues appeared.
1. My pet was used to attack a mob and at 20 percent health it disengaged and would not attack despite being ordered to
2. it complained about a level 100 AA that I had not bought despite only being 94
3, it summoned bags despite having no open slots. Other plugins have shuffled components to free up a slot.
4, it unloaded MQ2Melee which caused problems with another character (rogue) on the same account. I tried to /unload mq2mage and now my rogue is unplayable. Every time I select this character EQ crashes. I have sent in a dump. If I don't launch Very Vanilla my rogue loads fine.

1. Not sure why that would happen. I'd need more information on what happened.
2. Would need to know the name of the AA.
3. You're not wrong that we don't check for free bag slots. But sounds like you'll want to make some room.
4a. All the CWTN Plugins unload MQ2Melee on their respective classes when the plugin loads. You can /plugin MQ2Melee load if you switch to the rogue.
4b. /unload mq2mage is incorrect command. You should use /plugin mq2mage unload to unload the mage plugin. /unload anything else after will unload MQ2, and not a specific plugin.
 
CTWN/SIC one bug to report (apologies if it's somewhere up above, haven't had a chance to catch-up). Caught both mages 115/live get stuck in a loop trying to hand out weapons to familiars. I forgot to unclick the familiar buffs on war/cler, noticed when I tabbed over both mages were stuck in a loop trying over and over.

I have 2 mages, one 110, one 115 and a similar thing happened with trying to hand out pet weapons to an sk pet. Pet was handing it back, and both mages just kept trying to give over and over.

The 115 mage actually mod rodded himself to death too, didn't see it happen, but i suspect it was something to do with the summoning loop and it is probably fixed as of the latest patch. Will do some more testing tomorrow.

Also seeing a pet weapon problem, it should probably check if it has these items in inventory before summoning. It's also getting caught in a loop where it summons, unpacks the thing...then there's a bunch of weapons spread all over bags...and it keeps summoning the unpacked weapons pack, drops it into inventory during downtime...then a mob it's pulled...it drowns it into inventory...and when the fight is over it's summoning again, trying to unpack and getting a lore error...then it drops another unpacked bag into inventory...and so on...and so on until you run out of room and it gets stuck on the cursor.

I usually log, do my thing w/ lessons and log-out so don't know if this is just during fights or both in fights and extended downtime

- Thaumatize Pet isnt used, I know others have mentioned it but its a decent amount of mana regen.
- Twincast in gem 10 is casting however i ran into an issue where it used the twincast spell when twincast rk. II was already active.

- Please add toggle for pet heal. Unless your pets tanking there is virtually no reason to have it out. Pets are immune to AoE's now and SHOULD they get agro or take damage we have Mend Companion (AA), Companion's Discipline (AA), Companion DA (AA) and Summon Companion (AA which is instant cast and wipes Agro).
- Is Forceful Rejuvenation (AA) being used at all? Possibly a good idea on burns to get more our big nukes in (Feedback please)
- Add something that uses Monster Summoning + Reclaim Energy if mana is blow 10-20%? Possibly using Staff of Elemental Mastery: Earth for instant cast Reclaim Energy. This can get your mana up FAST!
