Likely you haven't set up the tank and class sections to match the automation tools that you are actually using (kiss/rgmerc/cwtn/etc).
I am running MQ2eskay on my tank and KA on other 5, was the first thing I checked

I just want to correct the error. Any instructions on how to correct it. I probably type in a bad command when I was crazy exhausted cause im not to bright =/

In grind at classes, did you set your tank class (sk, war, pal...) to CWTN also in the "class" section?

I must have entered a bad command or something, I have 2 comps and the error is not happening on the 2nd computer running the same team

Check this:

Go to Class configuration, Shadow Knight, click CWTN (or check the pause/resume stuff before). This maybe fixes your "Pause" error. No idea where the "camp" error comes from, unless you entered some custom stuff? If that is set to CWTN, it must be something else (LEM, plugin, ...) triggering those errors.

Purchased and attempted to run GMM for the first time (Group lvl 99 SK/BST/CLE/BRD/MAG/NEC). Set everything as per the instructional video and the group moved to the starting location in GMM. The SK then targeted the first mob in a large pack of mobs. The mob it targeted started pathing away and he ran through the group agroing about 7 mobs ending in an instant group death. Any setting I should have changed to possibly fix this or anyone else experienced the same thing?

A lot of this depends on your gear, but at level 99, GMM might be too tough with a bard mezzer. Bard mez at 99 only works up to lvl 103 and GMM mobs are like 101-104 IIRC. It could be you got unlucky and got too many high-level mobs to be able to mez effectively. Your lvl 101 mez will help a lot with that.

Is GMM the easiest one? Or is there an easier one I should start with?

Well I figured Id give GMM another go first just in case something went wierd. Ran through it flawless and halfway through a second run. Guess it was just simply a bad first pull lol.

This plugin is amazing!

Another question with regards to the GMM grind.

Group is up to 103 now but along the way I have had quite a few wipes. Figured instead of corpse running I'd end grind and start it again and just grab corpses for rez's later in the guild hall.

Unfortunately when summoning at the guild hall priest I apparently have no corpses. How do you guys go about full wipes as grind just pauses after a wipe? Do corpses completely vanish after you end the instance?

Corpses have 3 hours of you being online to be able to rez after that they are gone.

hytiek updated MQ2Grind with a new update entry:

Added some new toys and fixed a 2 year old bug for Volk

07/14/2023
---
Enhancement
- Added control buttons to `/grind ui` (see forum for more info)
- Added additional event handler for EQ NoS related bug to exit NoS Grind if a toon was missed since task locks upon entry
- Added `/grind stop` and `/grind off` which perform the same as `/grind end`
- Added restriction to controls: Pause and Resume only work when they should
- Added cfCampfireState to debug variable section
- Updated CWTN plugin related configuration to be enriched with a `nosave`...

Read the rest of this update entry...

The latest update provide a few control buttons to the `/grind ui` interface.

The buttons react to the scenario you are currently in. Meaning that if you are in a zone without a Grind instance, the options will be greyed out:

1689366778004.png

(hind sight ... I might alter this a bit)

Anyways! Now, when you are in a zone which has a Grind instance available:

1689366842098.png

Clicking `Run group to quest giver` will do just that, it will instruct the group to run to said NPC. It doesn't care nor will have configuration to invis to get there.

Once you Start the grind, the button will change to "Pause":

1689366920604.png

Once you press "Pause" it will shift to "Resume":

1689366949661.png

Giving you handy controls instead of consuming button master or EQ hotkeys.

I hope you guys like it, and if you don't, I'm sorry!

Nice addition. I always typed the commands. But being able to visually see pause/resume for current status is nice.

Hey Hytiek, I am running on a mac using crossover...the only way to get this to work (currently) is to disable Dannet. Is there any anything creative that can be done so that Grind will run without Dannet active?

The only "creative" approach would be to implement the ability to use EQBC which I'll consider but is not a promise of implementing.

I'm aware of the error being presented in MQ2Grind during `/grind start` - it does not hinder functionality.

TL; DR: There's a red error about a window and campfire continually being placed down. Neither affect the Grind - they are just visual issues for those who are looking at their screen.

I'm aware of the following issues:
  • red error message: Window 'ConfirmationDialogBox' not available.
    • seems to only happen the first time you start Grind and only happens once since the update yesterday
  • campfire being dropped regardless of setting
  • campfire being re-dropped every time the Grind recycles
I will publish an update once ready.

The error looks like this:

There's no need to reply that you see this too, we all see it. :)

Heya, ran Grind for the first time today. Did Restless Assault for the first time. Love this!!!

When I first zoned in, my tank took off running as I would expect...and died from fall damage. I ran him in a second time, and the same thing happened. I didn't have KA fired up on the bard yet so he wasn't lev'd. I assume lev is a requirement for this mission?

Also, in the .ini I copied and pasted in both lines from the two examples for a SHD tank, both the one for GTD and for LTD.. When I start the mission, the group runs to the mobs, but the SHD won't cast Protest for Power (it is memmed) so he just stands there. There are also a number of error messages saying it can't parse the multiline...

I am sure it is my error not filling out the line correctly. Any direction on how it should be changed from the Config Examples in the grind ini?

Of course, if I manually cast it, the group kills the mob and runs to the next loc, etc.

Thanks for the hard work on this!

While I know the above is old, I've been using grind for a long time now, but when I tried firing it up today in mean streets, Im getting the exact same thing. As soon as the tank (SK) starts running down the hill, he falls to his death. Tried like 10 times, did it a few times with cleric buffing with DI, and that saved him, but since the cleric isnt in the group, as soon he starts running on another hill, same thing happened. I tried putting lev on him from bard, didnt matter. Its really weird on whats going on. Going to switch over to Spirit fades and see what happens there.

eq has had that off and on for years - try making sure lev is off entirely, certainly not grind related, grind isn't making you fall to your death

I never suspected grind itself was doing something. I was thinking maybe it was something changing with the layout or the mesh at first (updated my meshes just to make sure), and then maybe I just needed to update some setting. If its a "known" eq thing, cool. Just not something I've ever encountered, so learned something new today.

Im guessing the whole fall to your death thing is zone specific when it happens? I tried doing spirit fades, and no issues there.

I noticed an issue while running CWTN plugins and MQ2Grind. I was running 4 groups this morning. Two groups were running MQ2Grind in Temple of Droga, and the other two groups had MQ2Grind unloaded and were running camps in a separate zone. Each time the MQ2Grind groups flipped the instance, the CWTN plugins would change modes from puller tank/assist to chase. This happens when the characters in the MQ2Grind groups would zone in to the instance. Is anyone else experiencing this? The main tank in all groups is an SK. The other CWTN plugins are enc, mag, rog, berz, and clr.

I am no expert, but what i think is happening is that grind is using the global cwtn commands ovet dannet. So all you chars get the command to changes modes.
I can't think of a work around for this either, other than only running the group with grind.

Pretty sure there is a window in imgui that you can change the commands that characters use for different stages? If you're using /bcaa instead of /bcga then you should change that. If you're using dannet, use the appropriate dannet command to only speak with your group using your commands. But I'm not a professional with grind

I am also not a MQ2Grind expert, but the GUI does have ap lace to make changes (to the ini) for how commands are called out. To me (total amiture), it looks like it is using Dannet to call out by class "rogues go to chase". Should be able to edit that command to say cooldude go to chase vice class?
