Plugin - MQ2Eskay (1 Viewer) 3.1.52471.11

This doesnt sound like an mq2eskay problem.

Plugin crashes would be: crash to desktop with a crash dialogue or crash to desktop no dialog.

There is nothing I can think of that would disconnect to server select in any plugin, let alone mq2eskay
OK, more trial an error. I rebooted my computer, made sure all files were downloaded and updated. SK continued to disconnect to server select. I switched to having the monk pull instead of the SK, and no more crashes.

All pulling is a from a shared library, as in the literal exact same code. The only difference would be what you're using to pull, but again. There is nothing that I'm aware of that would kick you to server select.

You might consider deleting your eq files for that character in case you have an issue in them somewhere
 
I've seen some sort of conflict between Impenitent Demeanor (120) and Ruthless Demeanor II (130)

The running state of buffs is:
Cast Azia and Ruthless lands.
Immediately mem Impenitent and over write Ruthless with Impenitent. Start killing.
Some trigger I cant figure out makes MQ2 stop and recast Azia.
This makes Ruthless overwrite impenitent, so immediately after we mem and recast Impenitent.

on the 5th I made it so if you have rank 13 or higher of azia or beza that you don't check the 120 remorseless because of this.

my sk isn't 130 yet cause i've been working through prog stuff when i can - let me take a look at the update i did and make sure i didn't miss something and then i'll rebuild
 
Oh I see what the trigger is now. Its the recast time on Azia. 2 minutes. It was variable for me since I was killing, so some times it was longer or shorter depending on how many mobs I had in camp.

Also checked beza acts the same way.

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but my SK is trying to cast level 116 spells that I don't have. Unless maybe this is a check to see if I have it? Example: Tries to cast Tekuel skin vs Banshee Skin. Lastly, I thought the Missing spells showed what I was missing but these spells are not listed as missing. Am I misunderstanding it? Please know this is not a criticism of your fantastic product. I truly love it and appreciate your hard work and the time you take to respond in these threads, I'm just trying to understand and contribute. Thank you!

show me on your "spells & Discs" tabs for those spell lines on what spells we plan on using. and then i'd like to see the plugin saying "Casting Brightfeld's Horror" etc

if instead, we're not casting that (which i suspect) and instead are using your AA Dark Lord's Unity (Azia), then that makes sense and you'll really want to go and get those abilities.

i'm curious tho - you said we're trying to cast these spells, but since you didn't show the plugin trying to cast these spells --- it *sounds like* you might be using your AA, but don't have any of those spells (because you have new versions of those spells, but your AA doesn't match your spell).

i *suspect* this is "you go to use the AA that you have access to and and able to cast, but don't have the triggered spells that trigger off of casting the AA."

This is one of the "edge cases" when people quickly outlevel their AA abilities, and by doing so don't have spells that makes the abilities that their AAs cast.

In case you're unfamiliar mechanically with the "Unity" spells - many classes get this "unity" of their class which casts several "best in book of xyz spell" which helps lower the amount of memorizing and casting individual spells - in this case Dark Lord's Unity is like 7 spells that you can click an AA for rather than memorizing and casting all 7 spells.


Dark Lord's Unity XI Azia, when activated, casts the highest rank of Shroud of Zelinstein, Brightfeld's Horror, Drape of the Akheva, Impenitent Demeanor, Tekuel Skin, Aten Ha Ra's Covenant, and Penumbral Call that you have scribed.

The difference between Azia and Beza is purely "Health Proc Tap2" vs "Mana Proc Tap", the other 6 spells it casts the same. UseBeza just allows you to be more "mana focused" rather than "health focused"

Has anyone noticed an increased cast rate for Dark Lord's Unity? Since the expansion went live, I've noticed that it renews itself about every 3 or four fights. This happens with both Azia and Beza. Maybe I'm imagining things so I just wanted to put this out there to see if anyone else is having a similar experience.

if your unity rank doesn't match your spells you will.

you also just updated today for a patch from several days ago that fixed an actual issue that resulted in re-casting it more often than it should of because of 120 remorseless overwriting the 130 triggered spell (from azia/beza)

I maxed Unity AA and scribed the new spells, but I will update and check. I greatly dislike this expansion and have hardly played.
 
hey i was just curious yesterday plugin worked great no issues. Today the plugin keeps randomly unloading itself and i have to ocassionally reload /plugin mq2eskay load and its back. but not sure why its doing that. i updated all my plugins i use 4 from you guys only this one is giving me issues any help greatly appreciated!

that's pretty suspect.

you need to be using RG's build of macroquest and MQ only works on "non truebox" servers.

Other than that - you'd be unloading it, or something else would be unloading it
 
i use redguides loader etc i reloged again hasnt happened again yet not sure what would randomly cause it and ya im on a live server - ya did it again no msg in mq box or anything just vanishes and i load it back and its fine
unless if you *actually* see a "mq2eskay is unloaded" then you might mean that you're losing your window - which could be a whole bunch of other things.

but the plugin just unloading is very suspect as i mentioned
 
Does this CWTN not switch automatically from 1h and sword to 2h based on what's needed? I have the bandolier set up, and i thought if i had a huge pull, say 4 mobs, that it might switch to sword and shield. Is this not a thing? Or am i missing a setting?

no it does not.

Q. Why no Bandolier swapping?
A. This is on our to-do list as something we may add for the tank classes.
 
First let me express my gratitude for this plugin, absolutely fantastic.
question: Is there a list somewhere of the plugin spell loadout for SK by exapansion/level? I've recently been leveling up and my group hit 125. I went and bought all the spells for 125, plugin load and runs them as expected. Challenge I have is that my SK now burns through mana like crazy and the group went from steady pulls consistently to pulls..then long breaks for regen. I didn't have this challenge when I was using the loadout when all I had was the 120 level spell load out.

I've gone through and seleceted BYOS and picked what I thought would be the correct 120 lvl spells based on the 125 loadout

I'm not sure what you mean here...you're 125 but you loaded all level 120 spells to try to conserve mana or something?

I don't have an answer for your question about a list of spell loadouts sorry :(

But here's some things to check into regarding mana consumption and getting your pulling back in order.

Take a look at your pull settings.
ManaMedStart
ManaMedEnd
and your groupwatch and adjust according to your group's capabilities.

Check your DotManaMin setting, you'll eat through mana if you're set up to cast dots until you're oom.

Similarly, with your LifeTap amount setting and if UseLifeTap setting is on.
Except that (someone correct me if I'm wrong) when you have UseLifeTap on and your lifetap amount set to 100 it will spam lifetaps
whether you need the heals or not.

Some other things to do would be use your Dark Lords Unity (Beza) ["UseBeza" in the plugin settings window] which will give you the mana tap proc instead of the lifetap.
Have your mana tap spell loaded, Charka's Bite at lvl 121, Cruor's Bite at lvl 116.

I'm not really sure what your question is. The game didn't really add/change much in 120 to 125, so it isn't like there are a bunch new spell lines we use at 125 that we didn't before.

You should check the FAQ for suggestions if you are having many problems.

Usebeza for example
Adjust your tap value. I personally recommend 100 for modern game, it isn't as mana impactful as like 50s and 60s.

All things like fargrim said.
There isn't a "I was fine at 120 but not at 125".

Byos you also can't willy nilly use old spells, that isn't how that works.

I dunno what your gear/as situation is, but if you're neglecting appropriate stuff for your level, you'll run into that

I also dunno if you went to ToB and don't realize that you need progression done otherwise you'll be pretty much permanently mana drained.

Sorry I didn't see your update before I posted that last copy paste. As far as I know I am only using stuff from the RG launcher. If there is something foreign I don't know what it is. I can also blow it all away and reinstall if it looks like something else is in there.

I noticed today that my SK using the MQ2Eskay plugin is casting spells while double-invised. I normally use my dbl-invis hotkey, then start moving. The line below where I went to VorpalAssist is when I am about to start moving, but he then cast a couple different spells. I then cast dbl-invis again, and he broke invis to cast a couple more spells. Is this something to do with VorpalAssist mode, or something else?

I don't know what weird stuff is going on for you here.

vorpal doesn't have a camp, so we don't break invis in vorpal or chase (you can check the faq, which you know)

the code that says "camp updated" specficially doesn't allow you to be in vorpal, chase, or manual, because there's no camp to update.

it is the only place in the the entire code base that that message happens.

somehow it thinks you're in vorpal but you are not.

obligatory "vorpal isn't a tanking mode" you know this, I know you know this, I'm going to say this everytime you post that your sk is in vorpal

but yeah, no it shouldn't; no i have no idea why; you should consider going manual and then back to whatever mode if you see "camp updated" while you are not in a mode with a camp
 
First of all, I'll apologize for not copying the Crash Detected info. It happened while I was pulling and I wanted to get back into the game asap. What I will say though is that I can tell exactly what did it.

Not every time, but some times adding a mob to the ignore list is crashing MacroQuest. I'm posting in the SK section because its happening on my SK, but only because I drive from SK and add things to ignore on SK. When I'm done with my project tonight I can add mobs to ignore until it crashes and post the Crash info.

Would just like to say, I have been using this (and many others) plugin for multiple years. I am still amazed. Thank you for this and all things MQ!
