Plugin - MQ2Eskay (7 Viewers) 3.1.52471.11

I seem to be missing something here. I am grouped with a higher lvl Enc who is tanking with her pet so I put myself on Manual (I am pulling), I turned off Thule and Hate's Attraction. I am trying to figure out why I keep stealing aggro from the pet. The pet has Mage hate weapons. The FAQ states I shouldn't be taunting on Manual. Thanks!

well. Are you taunting? you didn't say you are, you just said you shouldn't be.

if mq2eskay was taunting it would show that we were doing in the eskay window.

you will taunt if either a: in a tanking mode or b: assigned group main tank in your group window as the overview page infographic explains.

but you are probably still wearing your hate mask - might want to take that off if you don't want hate.

also: real tank > not-real tank

Outside of that - dunno what to tell you. We don't do threat stuff if we're not in a tank mode or assigned main tank

looks like you loaded mq2chat, and you exited out of the mq2 eskay window

if the mq2eskay window is being used it would use that window

if it is not being used it goes to the mq window (using mq2chatwnd) - if you are using mqchat, you output all your mq2 output to your regular chat windows

to summarize:
a: you closed the mq2eskay window
b: you are using mq2chat (this puts mq chat in regular window
c: you are using mq2chatwnd (this gives mq a window to put mq chat into)

/plugin mq2chat unload

/shd show

I recently purchased MQ2eskay, and I love the plugin, but I'm having a problem. My SK is just stopping navigation while in PullerTank mode, and I can't figure out why. No messages are displayed, nothing is aggro'd or being casted, he just stops. If I type /nav pause it resumes pathing, so I know it isn't an issue with my meshes or anything. I was using an ini before with the same meshes in the same location, and it was pulling no problem. So I've got something messed up in MQ2eskay or something, any ideas or has anyone run into this before?

nope no answers here, we don't issue a nav pause at all anywhere.

so you likely have a few things:

either another utility/plugin/react/Lua doing it
or
you have your nav tools set to "Pause Navigation" as break behavior and a key being pressed is pausing your nav

the illusion part of Pact of Decay is Mottled Skeleton form, which is ID 9491

Night's Dark Terror gives you the buff, and then also an illusion
Night's terror is the illuision - you would add this to your blocked illusions.

I'm sure this is user error, but I've tried following the above advice, but my SK continues to spam Pact of Decay. I've blocked both Pact of Decay and Night's Terror on my SK, my SK pet, other melee toons and all pets in my group but the casting continues. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks Mark. I've tried it both with an autoremoveillusion on or off status. Either way pact of decay casts continuously.

did you block the illusion?

you can't just turn off autoremove illusion.

the faq specifically mentions blocking the illusion it casts

so I went from 100 to 105 without buying spells. I finally went back to do this and did the usual /shd missing and was wondering if it shows the latest spell in a line that I am missing or all the spells I am missing in that line? Hope the question makes sense

Unload then reload the plug-in. It will show missing in a descending order until the one you own which is listed as updated

i usually do that and then just buy the highest level for the missing group.

I had not done that...I completely skipped over that and was focused on the Night's Terror illusion. Sorry to create work for you when the answer was clearly on the thread discussion about Pact of Decay. Really appreciate the response and assistance. Thanks!

I blocked Mottled Skeletal Form, and it fixed the issue.
 
I've noticed in ToL that when camping Fyr Jen tunnels that the mage's will self buff a pretty nasty DS. Is there a way to get the SK to use dispel (Nullify Magic) to pull with instead of parlay for power?

no, but you can use clickies like the skull of null, or several other classes with eradicate line or even wilting thorns on shm with byos
 
Since yesterday's patch I have been experience strange behavior that I wanted to mention.

I use the PowerJolt to pull. In my case at my level, it is Demand for Power. Until yesterday I had no trouble using the spell. Since the patch I have experienced the following intermittent behavior: when I cast the spell it does not fire and I get the message "Your ability failed. The timer has been reset." I have to repeatedly hit the key to get it to fire because I get that message. I have also noticed that sometimes when it fires immediately following there is a brief flash in the casting window that says I am casting Unity Azia. I have made sure I am blocking the Covenant Line because I have enchanter crack and I am blocking the DS line because I have mages. I have also tried to change the settings in the ini so that I am using Beza and not Azia, but I still experience the same thing and even though I have set the plugin to use Beza, I see the Azia cast attempt in the casting window.

I reread the FAQ 3 times before posting but maybe I need to block something else, but in my mind that would not explain the "You ability failed. The timer has been reset." message.

When I get home I will try it but why has it not happened before? I have not changed my routine. Been doing the same thing for weeks. Also, where is the setting. I didn't recall seeing it in the EsKay window or ini file.

it has always done that.

you might be in manual mode normally, i dunno, but nothing was changed there.

if eq ever finally got to the point that stuck gems were *never* a thing, we'd remove it --- we're not even putting it in the new classes, but stuck gems still occasionally occurs

correct - and we do stuckgemcheck if it is turned in in all modes other than manual.\

so you manually casting a spell, in a mode that isn't manual, with "please do this interrupt thing if you think my gems might be stuck" turned on, means we're going to do that :p

you stopping a cast with azia and then stoping that cast of azia is literally what we do for stuckgemcheck.

I would turn that off and see if it still occurs, i bet it doesn't.

if you don't have max'd AA for "improved demand of power" and have a cast time, you manually casting it with checkforstuckgems on would indeed cause you to interrupt it.

you could *definitely* be having additional other issues with latency - but again and specifically - if you have the stuck gems thing on, and we think there is an issue, we're going to try and un-issue it as described and demonstrated in the vid and then explained by me here a couple times :p

but yeah, turn it off if you don't want > us < to do that.

separate topic if I may. I think I remember in your vid that you said something along the lines of that you personally do not use snare because you let the pet try to snare. While trouble shooting I turned Off UseAASnare. Should I leave it off?

I know this isnt the issue. But I cant figure out why you are blocking the SK DS line or if its another DS like you are blocking. But the shadowknight's ds and mages circle stack with eachother

Sorry about that. I was using the tablet all day to communicate. My eye either missed it because the color blended with your signature, or my brain photoshopped the colored portion for the same reason my eye missed it. :)

well i don't use it on my toons.

the option is there.

so if you don't want to use it, turn it off; if you do want to use it or you are unsure, leave it on.

but yup. please be in a position to receive help when you are asking for it :)
 
I think I may have messed something up because my blue circle for the pull radius is not showing anymore. I am on Puller Tank mode with a radius of 70. I have tried all the way from 30-200 and the blue circle doesn't show up. I did a resetcamp as well as a camphere on. I also changed modes.
Pulling does work as intended though, so it is just the visual. Forgot to mention, I also unloaded and loaded MQ2Eskay to make sure. BTW, my camp radius is not showing either.

Never mind! I found it. Somehow I turned off layer 1. duuh!

Have really enjoyed Eskay so far, but am definitely a new user.

Upon memming my most recent spells, now my SK in Puller Tank mode will memorize and cast Falhotep's Covenant after killing and before going to pull again every time. He memorizes Bond of Ralstok after casting Falhotep's Covenant.

sounds like the 7th post down in the FAQ:

yup durango is correct, sounds like you have conflicting spells - either illusion based or another type of mana regen

those things are addressed in the FAQ

Is anyone having an issue with PullArc and PullRadius?

PullArc no matter what arc-angle I change it to. It still shows and pulls 360
Same with PullRadius. Even when changing the distance to zero it appears to be 200+

I have tried reloading the plugin, (/shd reload) I have tried unloading and restarting the plugin but these didn't seem to help.
I have even gone as far as deleting the mq2eskay_char.ini, and re-running the plugin to see if maybe it was something I screwed up.

Suggestions?
