Still getting crashes and Vampiric Embrace is definitely blocked. Can PM over dmp file if that would help.
emu is mostly an "as-is" especially due to the custom nature. Eventually when MQ is ported to emu, this particular thing will get addressed.

You can also go BYOS in your in and then load up -and if that fixes it, it is almost certainly the vampiric embrace thing

This could be a global thing across all plugins, but would allow for a bit of customization in regards to a players custom playstyle.

For breaking camps with SK pulling, I tend to use Hates attraction and run in range of a mob (200) and then cast Hates attraction and immediately use Deaths effigy, stand and snare or Power the mob. In most cases this is a sure way to single any mob out of a crowd.

Similar could be described for a bard, where single pulling is almost always possible in normal group game.

There is no plan to accommodate this request. Pulling is already pretty complicated. If you hve a desire to do a custom pulling routine your best option will be manual mode so that you can either manually pull how you like or write a macro or Lua to handle it for you. Manual mode doesn't attempt movement or automatic engaging of mobs allowing you the freedom to do what you're asking above.

Nope, nothing like that at all.

Unfortunately these are not the tools for that job.

Anytime I need to do something fancy, or split and get creative, I do what chat mentioned above.

Furthermore, if you're already creating conditions and events to do what you mention, you're already halfway+ to achieving a custom Lua/Mac etc for what you want.

I started playing on an emu server and I saw the faq thing about blocking vampiric embrace and I did but still every time I log in the SK and use Mq2eskay it still crashes

if you're on lazarus, you may need to delete the spell from your spellbook (and possibly the one afterwards, SoD) as the post above mentions

My sk pet keeps taunting and calming repeatedly. What option did I miss plz??
we don't turn on pet taunting for mq2eskay. mq2bst/mq2mag and what will be mq2necro offer pet taunt toggle - but we do 0 pet taunting adjustments on mq2eskay

sounds you like you turned it on for some reason - uncheck it
 
Anyone getting a random Throne of Heros on MQ2eskay? Does not happen often, but a couple times now in the past 2 days on Test.
no - we don't use throne of heroes in any capacity for any reason

make sure you're not running a macro or Lua that may be doing that.
 
I had the crash issue with VE and blocked/deleted it and it started working again. Upon hitting lvl54 it started crashing again as soon as I load it, it doesn't try and cast anything just crashes. Tried reading the DMP file in notepad but wrong format... Will PM you the last 2 .dmp files Sic and I am hoping you can tell me whats wrong. Thanks!

This is on Project Lazarus btw.

I played around with it some, I am unsure if this is the same line as VE but Call of Darkness appears to cause it to crash. I got around it with BYOS.

You can't read dmp. Files in notepad.

Please check the faq there are two spells to ock

Emu is mostly as-is and unfortunately, as such at least until mq is on emu, this particular issue is going to remain.
 
Good Morning all! I currently am running a 4-box - mnk (puller), enc, shm, and SK (tank) with a healer and melee mercs. They are all at level 64 and my SK is now having issues holding aggro.

I have been using VV for only a month or two with kissassist only to get the hang of it. I was thinking of getting this plugin but have a question on use of the plugin.

Is my assumption correct to use kissassist on the SHM,ENC,MNK (puller) and use this plugin for the SK? Also will this plugin grab aggro on the extra adds?

Also, thanks for the great product - really make EQ so much fun!

no, we don't swap targets, but you're not locked to a target either so you can change to another target if you wanted to --- or i'd suggest letting your CC do their job

you can always test out the plugins on the test build included with your lvl 2 VV

IMHO, use CWTN plugins for all 4 and use SK as puller tank or chase tank depending on area. You really cannot go wrong if you use all CWTN for your classes. As Sic the all knowing (not being sarcastic) stated, let CC do their job, and all assist the SK. Not sure what gear is like, but always gear SK above all. Threat won't be an issue. SHM heals in that range are weak for some time, but if you gear the tank, it won't matter.
 
I had to delete the Vampiric Embrace Line of spells from my Spell Book... but the server I play on auto-gives spells on each level so I have to delete it every time I level which is a pain, so I just created a warrior ;)

1) When in puller/tank mode, the SK will leave camp, pull, and then run further out to meet the mob. Over time he and the other melees drift further from the camp and the priests. I noted this problem before and never could get an adequate answer, but that was with KA. Could you engineer this so the SK returns to his camp spot AND STAYS THERE?

2) One of the default spells is Dire Censure, but Dire Seizure is a far more detrimental dot. Could you consider making this a default spell? I have to use BYOS otherwise and I would rather automate the best spells. Not to mention Seizure is a heck of a debuff when it lands (it does get resisted a lot).

Otherwise, I love this thing. TIA.

we do not engage mobs out of camp unless they are hitting a non-puller tagged toon and are within your camp distance + campoverlapbuffer distance --- or you turn on your attack for some reason.

I would check those things.

this isn't KA, and you shouldn't be using KA with it.

2. use byos or byos custom if you want to change the lineup
-- dire censure is a "diretap" group spell, dire seizure is a dot in out "DoTDisease" group --- they are how they are intended and designed to be in the default lineup

I am experiencing something similar. My pet is not taunting, but will constantly spam "Sorry Master Calming down" or similar. Currently as puller tank mode.

Thats the program using "back" command on the pet so that it gets off the mob, allowing the mob to get to camp location.

That is t taunting. That is backing your pet off if it is doing things it shouldn't. Sometimes this is eq geometry or pathing issues. Eq kinda sucks with that.

But yah, not taunting.
 
As Sic mentioned, most likely it is pathing. There are several areas in the game where pathing is a real bitch for NPC's. I came across at least 3-4 last night in Sirens Grotto. Very annoying with bugged mobs, and pet pathing. I had the same issue, pet spamming back off. Just attempt to find a new spot, usually works.
 
ok i pull with my necro and i get it back to the group sk picks it up but if i chain pull the group slowly moves across the zone is there a way to stop this? what do i need to set the sk to so he doesnt move away from the camp when i bring the 2nd mob in and so on?

make sure your puller is marked puller. you will want your sk in mode 4. it is going to wait to engage mobs that enter within your campradius + your campoverlapbuffer if it is hitting someone - group marked puller is excluded from that.

I would strongly recommend using huntertank mode rather than trying to chain pull anything. more than likely you're going to have better kills per hour this way.

you can always do a /shd gotocamp if you need to move back to your specific camp location outside of a time that we do that automatically.

for me 4 is vorpal 5 is tank does he still tank on vorpal. and im not sure how to do hunter with necro pulling in the shei instance

Vorpal is not a tanking mode. It is an assist mode. It would be assisting your group marked MA. And since it has no camp, you are going to wander around

5 is pullertank.

yes sorry i was counting manual(0) so my numbers were off sorry. Idk if using hunter tank in shei instance is what were ready for atm might need more gear and or AAs for our sk atm thanks for the help
 
Great plugin BUT just got decrepit skin and it does not use it. Its out best spell at this stage.

helllo Butaecus - you posted in the mq2berzerker thread, but i believe you are asking about a shadowknight spell. - which btw, mq2eskay does in fact use decrepit skin the "defense proc" -- I will move this post to the correct plugin and correct discussion thread.

we auto memorize it later on when you have more gem slots - but if you memorize it in an empty slot, or in a byos/byos custom set - you would use it.

I am new to the community here and started using a few of the MQ2 plugins. First off, excellent work on the plugin. My first group is going great, already went from 1-88.

I am currently also leveling a SK from level 1, MOLO with a melee dps merc. Having no healer, I use lifetap to sustain HP. The added dps bonus from melee dps merc is more than I would like to give up (it does 2-3x the SK's damage at low levels). I know SK's are super mana hungry, which causes a lot of downtime medding. Is there a way to adjust the %hp the SK uses lifetap at, so it doesn't spam tap at 100% HP? I realize most people multi-box a healer or healing merc with these plugins, so probably don't run into this problem.

no there is not, and this is intended.

you can turn off uselifetap if you want to use it manually, but there is no adjustment for that - it is part of the combat routine
 
Been playing on Project Lazarus server and ran into serial crashes when I bought my level 52-54 spells. I've narrowed it down to removing the following spells from my spellbook and blocking one. Hope this is helpful for your debug if you ever decide to work on the Emu build of MQ2 and this awesome plugin:

Terror of Death (deleted from spellbook)
Dark Temptation (unable to delete from spellbook, but able to add to blocked buffs)
Mental Corruption (deleted from spellbook)
Summon Clockwork Banker AA Ability (this causes an instant crash when enabled)
