it is pretty hard to say, the plugins are "mostly unsupported" for emu - if they work they work kind of thing - emus vary quite considerably. Chat and i will take a look, but definitely no short-term fixes or possibly even long term
 
All good Sic, ty for your time. I figured it might be an issue with emu, as it was a bit tricky to even get running lol. Only thought it was weird because the plug in was working just fine for a few days then just kind of stopped working. I wasn't using it on my set up so i hadn't noticed anything till the first time i tried it on mine. The warrior one works fine, so I just told her to use a warrior instead lol.

You're the third person reporting a crash with eskay. You can try blocking 'Vampiric Embrace" spell in your buffs before loading the plugin to see if that stops your crashing. Unfortunately I won't be able to debug any dmps until the next build of EMU. Also, as sic mentioned EMU's are pretty low priority in my list of things to address. But I do thank you (and the two other people that have reported the crash) for taking the time to let us know and provide us with something that might lead to the cause of the issue.
 
Blocking Vampiric Embrace before running the plugin, on my computer, is working as of this post. So far so good as a work around.

Awesome, glad to hear it. Previous user that had reported it said they crashed right after getting that spell, and blocking it stopped them from crashing. So at least it's consistent on what the cause of it is. Hopefully I'll get a chance to look into the reason for the crash down the line.
 
I`m having an issue when grouping with Shaman + SK. Shaman Wolk Pack buff keeps my SK chain casting Venril's Covenant non stop and draining mana. How can I fix this?

Confirmed it`s happening outside of group as well. sk just keeps recasting covenant spell line over and over. I also noticed sk will not go into puller tank mode: set to puller - mt- puller tank none work he just stands there chain casting Covenant spell...?
What's really odd is the Covenant spell is not landing on the sk, also i am not casting a pet-i have use pet selected-have bone chips etc..?

As mentioned by others this is something that is specifically spoken about in the MQ2Eskay FAQ, please make sure you check out that information otherwise you're going to significantly lower your enjoyment.


it doesn't have anything to do with the shaman buff - you likely have a mana regen from an enchanter. Check that faq

well sictank doesn't engage stuff until it enters your campradius. and it only does the stick once.

if you're moving around you will want to utilize /shd resetcamp to reset your camp where you are at.

"runs past them and doesn't turn around" - I would make sure you're not having pc problems. we don't run past mobs, we'll nav to them if we need to move to them, but we don't go past them

Got it fixed. The UseStick option was turned off.
 
I don't remember where I see it. I've looked too... But when I load my SK I have to type /shd show each time. None of my other CWTNs do it. What can I set to keep it showing when I login?

make sure you didn't make any of your files read-only and make sure you don't close it before logging out - if you close it, and then log out it would be closed upon re-entering the game.

the actual "MQ2Eskay.ini" is the file that has a 0 or 1 for keeping the shown state of your UI window.

you can see how this is demonstrated.

close your eskay ui window, /plugin mq2eskay unload - /plugin mq2eskay load - no window - /shd show - /plugin mq2eskay unload - /plugin mq2eskay load --- window will be visible upon loading the plugin.

well, when the window closes or things are changed, that ini gets updated with the new value - so double check you're not having issues with files getting held up by antivirus, or you manually locking files or something like that.
 
This is for Emu:


I finally got Mq2Eskay to stop exploding. I didn't fix anything though. I used GM commands on the private server to unscribe every "Bite" and "Bond" spell in the Category: Taps and Subcategory: Duration Tap. As long as Mq2Eskay detects all of those spells as missing using the missing command the plug in works, other wise it explodes. Just an observation thus far. Sorry for the delay, GF took a break and she's the one playing the SK.

*edit It still explodes. To prevent it and get the plugin to work you HAVE to have BYOS toggled on. I haven't removed every Tap and Duration Tap spell because using byos stabilized it and it was painful hunting all the spell id's and what not.

Specifically the > MQ2Eskay FAQ <

the illusion part of Pact of Decay is Mottled Skeleton form, which is ID 9491

Night's Dark Terror gives you the buff, and then also an illusion
Night's terror is the illuision - you would add this to your blocked illusions.

NDT was patched to make it 2 parts. when its cast, block the pink "illusion" buff (if you inspect it, it says), you want to keep the moon part 1644190581851.png
 
Think I have asked this before, but can always hope it's in the plans to add. Is there a Toggle for the Covenant line? Falhotep's Covenant is spamming as is blocked by Chanters spell Voice of Premeditation. Chanter's buff is the better of the 2, unless ya just wanna look cool as Ice Skeleton and lose HP's to regen lessor mana.

Presently Falhotep's is still spamming even though I have it blocked...

Q. I spam memorize my mana conversion / skeleton illusion spell and/or cast my unity spell?
A. You probably have auto remove illusion turned on, but don't actually have the illusion from this spell added to your blocked buffs.

This will make you want to recast the spell.

If you don't want to re-cast the spell to get the illusion, you will want to add it to your blocked buffs.

This is typically Icebone Skeletal Form.

EQ Menu -> Character -> Blocked Buffs
EQ Menu -> Character -> Blocked Pet Buffs (to add to anyone's pet blocked spells)
or /blockspell add me 9492

A. Do you have any enchanter buffs on you? you likely have an issue that MacroQuest is reporting to mq2eskay that, despite having voice of sagacity, that you still need covenant.

You should decide which one you want and add the other one to your blocked buffs.

There are a few of these buffs that eq/mq2 reports stack that do not or will chain overwrite other buffs and you get into a buffing contest with another toon.

You either have this situation or some other issues. I would suggest checking for the red error text that eq gives you to tell you WHY it didn't successfully take hold and then go from there.

You can block anything you don't want cast. This is a built-in EverQuest feature - right-click on the buff and "add this spell to list of blocked spells" or go through the eq menu -> character -> blocked buffs

EQ Menu -> Character -> Blocked Buffs
EQ Menu -> Character -> Blocked Pet Buffs (to add to anyone's pet blocked spells)


Make sure you understand that if you block the covenant part, you need to block the skelly illusion part as well, since that is part of that spell.

*SIGH* I even check the FAQ :cry:, I was searching for Covenant, so FAQ has bad spelling in header... I had remembered I needed to block the Covenant Spell... I forgot the Illusion part needed to be blocked as well...

SO for future reminder for myself as I run pretty much 24/7 with chanter, I will need to go thru this every 5 lvls. Blocking Covenant Line spell and the Illusion?

so it was written 3 times, 1 with a typo, which made you not read the rest of the stuff? ok =p

if you want to block the spell, to use the conflicting enchanter spell, yup, you would block it.

I was doing a CTRL F search and probably mispelled myself (e for a)... was in hurry as trying to get done before logging into work. remember I don't play live, I'm on TLP's so probably be 3 months before come across this again...
 
You can just block the illusion part and it will stop casting the line when you have the chanter buff. I've done this on all of my sks and it stops the spam permanently until they give covenant a different illusion again.
 
Using the CTWN plugin drop downs gives this, but the /class mode commands still work fine.

there are significant mq issues at the moment.

mq has some crashes atm. we took down the build until the devs have a chance to check out some of the crash dumps.

it is likely to be a little touch and go since everything is brand new 64bit.

thanks for understanding - we'll have it back up asap

Dono if it's been reported, as I am excited to get back into playing on Test, but my sk will keep casting Syl'Tor Convenant Rk. II when it has Chante Mana buff on, and I can't find a way to stop it.
