MQ2Eskay

Plugin - MQ2Eskay (2 Viewers) 3.1.52471.11

Sorry, I should have included this. If I'm at C1 all the mobs in the orange area are pulled but the ones in purple are not. If I move to C2 the mobs in purple will be pulled but some in the lower right part of orange wont be.

Do you have a break in your mesh? /nav ui then turn on the mesh visbility so you can inspect your mesh between your group at c1 and the mobs you want to pull by c2, my guess is there is a break in the mesh.

after your group you'll see the output of what mobs its not pulling and why
you can see things like our pc pets, or my shaman pact is skipped, then a bunch of other mobs skipped and their reason.
it definitely does, in fact, spit out up to those 200 like you mentioned.

Assuming I'm on the same floor as you are talking about - I pulled and cleared the whole room

nothing fancy with settings

There are a few mobs there that you need to ignore that hang out in and around that room - did you place them on ignore? (you'd see it trying to pull them otherwise)
Attendant Shirian, Bursin the Legend are two exmamples

I'll check when I am on tonight, but I am able to /nav target to the mobs that aren't being pulled. So I assume that means the mesh is ok?

yeah exactly - if your emu is some some special-sauce kind of way of doing things, adding their own abilities, or something outside of how the game normally registers those things - this is exactly what we mean about emu's widely and wildly varying and it is a pretty tall order to try and code for all of those unknown and special things
I actually got it working the next day. When I changed the value for AoECount to 3 it started using Explosion of Hatred/Spite. Now it works even on 2. It does use both on each pull, even when its not necessary, which is a little unfortunate, but the plugin is working fine now. Its really awesome

Would it be possible to get a Group Watch -> Druid and Group Watch -> Shaman? Cleric exists and Healer exists. My druid is pure DPS so I'd prefer to not wait for his mana. Same goes for the use case where my Shaman is the healer but the cleric is not(power leveling). I guess this would a be FR for MQWar and the future MQPaladin also.

Healer definitely counts a shaman. I am not sure about druid I don't have one in my regular group.

the group watch options are "All, HealerOnly, Crowd Control And Healer, Self Only, and Cleric Only".

Healer includes the three priest classes.

we don't currently have plans on adding additional to the groupwatch options - it might be something in the future, but at this time we don't have plans or a time line.

The request isn't a crazy one, and we appreciate and understand the desire of what you're asking.

We have some thoughts/ideas.

Not sure if this is the right place or not but since I first noticed it on my SK, I'll start here.

I'm using mqnext with most (if not all) the cwtn plugins.

When I logged in this afternoon I immediately noticed that a couple of hotbuttons that I use to drive with was not working:

"/${Me.Class.ShortName} mode 7" and "/${Me.Class.ShortName} mode 5"

/${Me.Class.ShortName} was getting an error: DoCommand - Couldn't parse '/${Me.Class.ShortName}'

/echo ${Me.Class.ShortName} still showed up as SHD

I restarted mq2eskay on the off chance something was dorked with it. I refreshed the mq injections jsut in case. I exited and rebooted. Nothing fixed it. I'm going to try using the old mq2 to see if that helps at all and will report back.

edit: doing the same thing on the old mq2. I removed the part of this post about it working this morning because I remembered that all I did this morning was quickly run overseer, so that had no bearing on this issue.

have you looked at my hotkey resource > HERE < has hotkeys and how to make/use them

in both mq2 and mq "next" you can't /${Me.Class.ShortName} without a /docommand first

so it would need to be either /shd blah or /docommand /${Me.Class.ShortName} blah and if you're issuing it, you need to ensure you're noparsing it so everyone resolves their class shortname and not the person who is issuing it

I suggest setting up the aliases i have in the hotkey page

Thanks! I fixed all my affected hotbuttons. I hear what you're saying about them not working as is but I will say that they worked for the last few months as is and worked yesterday evening. I am just happy to be back to driving my group again!

if they worked without the docommand i wouldn't have the docommand in all the hotkeys :(

Hello,

i m really happy with the plugins ( using Bst, Shm, Berz also), but recently i ve noticed that my lvl 115 SK isn't life taping anymore, i don't know why (Uselifetape is on off course). The thing weird is that he doesn't seem to need it, i mean he doesn't die :) but maybe i m loosing DPS. Any idea ?

Howdy Wurmdal,

we're glad to hear you're digging the plugins!

I fixed a bug that would cause that lifetap issue (which will be in the next patch), but the bug shouldn't be able to occur if you have all your abilities - in this case being 115, you would have to be missing spells, specifically progressive ability and HPBuffTap or sub 101 for it to happen, so i'd double check that you have all your spells.

my other sk's running stock RG mq2 lifetap as expected - I missed the bug because it would only occur under the circumstances I mentioned - not having those spells (like by omission or by being too low lvl). so I'd start there, or wait until patch

Had a new experience today with MQ2Eskay on TLP with a 65 SK. I finally got around to upgrading to all of the 65 spells, 1 or 2 of which are 20 seconds or so to load in / refresh. When pulling, if a self buff drops, he will stop in the middle of mobs to buff, and then reload combat spells. This whole process now has him pausing for 20 - 30 seconds away from camp which of course ends badly sometimes. This is in puller tank mode. Is there anyway to stop him from buffing if he is outside of the camp radius?

we do not do any spell memorizing/buffing/casting while you have mobs on xtarget or while out pulling.

if you are in huntertank, between pulls you will. or pullertank between pulls, while in camp you will.

but we don't just randomly stop to buff or change spells while out pulling, we specifically don't do that.

Yeah that sounds like you're using another macro on top of the plugin or something as the plugin doesn't act that way. In fact, it won't do any memorizing if you're moving even manually. So it wouldn't stop mid pull to memorize spells. Hopefully if you're doing that using /end would stop whatever macro you may or may not have running. Alternately it could be something like MQ2React if you have one setup to do that sort of thing though that seems less likely, it's still possible.

So i logged onto test today, setting up my crew to farm some augs and for some reason my sk is decided to use my huntman's ehteral quiver 25 times
when i have it set to only use it 3 times for a total of 300 arrows not 2500 arrows, i cant even remove the clicky using /shd RemoveClicky Summon (while holding the itme) or using /shd removeclicky summon Huntmans Etheral Quiver
PLS HELP

Some issues with items atm. Unload the plugin and go to your mq2 folder, find the INI for the character MQ2Eskay_CharacterName.ini and open it. Remove the item from list until it gets sorted.

Is there a way to add a mob to Pull Ignore list WITHOUT having it targeted? Like a manual add?

The other day, my SK accidentally pulled a triggered spawn mob that someone else needed for a quest. I can't do the quest just to spawn the mob and target it to put it on pull ignore list. I felt really bad that I pulled this mob that the other guy needed. I need to make sure I don't repeat this mistake. Thank you.

yup, you can just type the name

/shd ignore Sic would ignore me

Spams Dark Lord's Unity
any more context than this?

are you *sure* you're not manually casting something and triggering the checkforstuckgems? if you manually cast anything with checkforstuckgems, as explained in the videos, you will interrupt cast unity

/shd CheckForStuckGems true/false/on/off/0/1 - Sets if you want to try and "unstick" your spell gems - this will happen in every mode other than manual, and we use the Dark Lord's Unity AA.

or did you check the FAQ?

Q. I appear to be chain casting Azia/Beza?
A. Do you have any enchanter buffs on you? you likely have an issue that MacroQuest is reporting to mq2eskay that, despite having voice of sagacity, that you still need covenant. You should decide which one you want and add the other one to your blocked buffs.

There are a few of these buffs that eq/mq2 reports stack that do not or will chain overwrite other buffs and you get into a buffing contest with another toon. You either have this situation or some other issues. I would suggest checking for the red error text that eq gives you to tell you WHY it didn't successfully take hold and then go from there. You can block anything you don't want cast. This is a built-in EverQuest feature - right-click on the buff and "add this spell to list of blocked spells" or go through the eq menu -> character -> blocked buffs

EQ Menu -> Character -> Blocked Buffs
EQ Menu -> Character -> Blocked Pet Buffs (to add to anyone's pet blocked spells)

Thank you ! You are exactly right!

I blocked the spell I did not want and it has resolved the SK casting Dark Lord's Unity AA the instant it was up.

I run an enchanter in my group.

If that's for dungeon crawling r something similar, use sic tank with an huge campradius

Hi Sic, if I want tank mode and don't need a camp, what should I do??
well if you want to be in tanking mode, you will be using a mode that has a camp.

you can still do tanking stuff if you are assigned as group main tank

but as far as auto reacting to mobs aggro and such, they'd need to be in your camp for you to target and attack them.

> How I Move My Toons Around <

How do u deal with powersource with this plugin??
we do not handle your powersources. because there is no built-in eq exchange of gear, and it would require doing stuff by picking it up, we try and avoid doing that. folks would want to delete the depleted ones, which having automation delete stuff for you makes me cringe.

when I start up for the day I do a /bcga //status powersource and if I see someone in my team has a low one - I swap it out.

Maybe I'm just overly frugal, but I don't even use a power source if I'm not raiding or doing difficult group content that could easily result in a wipe. Otherwise I just keep an expired PS in that slot because you still get minimal stats even at 0%. I surely am not going to waste PS energy on rando mob grinding in static zones that are not that challenging.

i'll always keep a depleted one in my bags for this very reason. they are pretty cheap to make (not like when they were mostly only mob dropped) so its not as much of a problem these days

Thanks for this post and the reply - it was driving me crazy not being able to chain pull because of the spam DUnity casts
