Hello all,

I recently purchased MQ2 Eskay, and I am loving it for sure. But the plugin seems to keep my lvl 107 eskay's DoTs to a minimum. The only one he is using is the Bond line of tap duration spells. He has the first four gems dedicated to lifetaps, which is cool, but I'd like him to use more of his DoTs if I could. Has anyone figured out how to have MQ2 Eskay use more of them? Or am I doing something wrong? Also, and I'm not sure if this is related, in my MQ2Eskay UI I noticed the on the left side in the settings tab the DotManaMin is in red while all the others are not.

please don't post pictures with your character's name in them.

you can byos and memorize a custom line up with moredots if you want, but I would recommend using the out-of-the-box setup.

the dotmanamin is the minimum mana to use dots at - if you were using dots
 
So I’m using mq2eskay to to pull and I’m wondering is there a way to make him stop pulling when someone in group dies, in order to give my shaman time to get Ooc in order to Rez? I know once I finally get around to farming the Rez stick, this won’t be an issue, but if there’s a way to make it work in the meantime that would be awesome.

Your SK should recognize the weakness escaping the group and continue to kill. Especially if it was the healer that bought it.

Please consider adding a toggle to downrank the Snare line without BYOS for a lowly TLP players.

You are very much correct about the mana smart and since it is our main threat since we dont have the Terror line yet.

Clinging Darkness is 20 mana per cast and works like a champ. Cascading Darkness is 300 mana per cast.

Small addition to make it perfection would to have it tied to being designated as Main Tank in the group. Having the SK spam it on a dragon that its never going to land on, that some poor warrior is trying to tank is counter productive...=)

nope, not gonna happen

plus it doesn't spam it, it only casts it if the mob doesn't have the buff

Ohh it's going to spam it alright because the debuff will never land on a boss. So it's coded how you think it should work but reality is the opposite is going to happen.

All good I can work around it.

if you are already byos, it is going to try and cast the spell on the mob. If you don't want it to cast it, un memorize it as you're already byos

going to add an overall toggle to use it or not

/shd UseDotSnare - this will use your DotSnare line if you have one of them memorized - its not going to change the spell lineup - so it won't cause any changes to automagical spellset.

we automagically memorize a DotSnare until we get Touch of Draygun at 69 (nice).

I only killed him once so I could be missing something but Maglador or whatever his name is in GD did not trigger burn on named

Sic wanted me to relay that he's concerned about the lack of help his hidden message produced. But nobody should be concerned, I've doubled the duct tape.

- Added UseDotSnare toggle
-- This won't change what spells you memorize (we mem dotsnare up till 69 currently).
--- but allows you to not use it if you have it memorized (like toggling for tanking/offtanking).
- Added the ability to use any of the Dot Snares and not just the "best" one.
-- Useful if you want to memorize a lower lvl snare for mana saving purposes.

it doesn't care if a mob is mezzed or not - if its on xtarget and in camp its going to fight it (if that is the next mob to fight, of course). if its been memblur'd and is in camp its not

I bet my enchanter is mezzing targets outside camp then.
 
Hey Sic, have added MQ2Eskay to my crew and loving it. Is there any way in Puller_Tank mode for the SK to stand when at 100% as I run a bard and pre-twist songs and he sits when the SK does. It's not major but with my melee heavy grp does affect my DPS.

nope, if he's in puller tank mode and he's chilling in camp waiting, he's going to sit down
 
I have group watch on Crowd Control and Healer, but my SK isn't stopping to med when my bard gets below 20% He was doing it a yesterday, but last night he stopped doing it. He does stop to med when my zerkers endurence is low, even though I don't have all set for Group Watch. Have any idea how I can fix this?

nope, not your fault. We recently made a change to our hasMana function to default to ignore bards, but we forgot to *not* ignore bards for mana checks for groupwatch. i'll update that for next patch
 
I have a question about using macros alongside CWTN plugins. Specifically, I'm wondering how running my SK would work with mq2eskay and kissassist, where I'm using KA to fill do things that are outside of combat related features. For instance, I like how KA will have your toon fire back if they die. My question is, how important is it to turn of certain features of kiss assist, such as the melee portion and the dps portion, among others. Would the plugin override KA on these features? And, I know this is such a noob question, but what is the difference between a plugin and a macro, they seem like they do the same things. Thanks for your time reading this post, and I love RG and its services, thx for all u do.

if you run a melee/combat assistance macro or another plugin alongside you are going to run into conflicting behavior and give yourself some drastic nightmares.

think of it this way. since they can run concurrently - if the plugin is telling your dude to memorize sweet_bone_spell, and your macro is telling you to stand up, or memorize something else - you're going to run into conflicting behavior.

mq2eskay is setup with a specific combat routine - so if you have something else firing things off willy nilly - you can end up with less than expected results

mq2eskay is setup with handling engaging and targetting and all that jazz - and if you have a macro trying to do the same thing you're going to end up with undesired results.

We currently don't have the cwtn plugins automatically clicking you back if you die and you have a fellowship up - if that is the sole functionality you want, you could make a macro or a react to do that for you.

I sincerely don't recommend using things with conflicting behavior.

re: the difference of a macro and a plugin

a macro is just the mq2 code that you can write in a text editor to execute - it is easily edited/adjusted/created and can be done locally by anyone
a plugin is a set of instructions that gets "compiled" into a .dll (dynamic link library) that the main plugin then "loads" and does stuff inside. You can't "edit" it in a text editor or make any adjustments without needing it to be recompiled.

There are some differences, but those differences are that super important with respect to your question - they both just make your character do stuff.

I don't run a macro over the plugin. I do however run mq2react to pick up where in my opinion the plugin slacks. (in my case TLP Tanking) To be honest i would try it worse that could happen? You take a L and die. I know these guys will say ohhh all you have to do is make a quick macro, i could do it in my sleep. If you are not a coder like me, you take what is available and make it work. I would try striped down KA in manual mode. Maybe it works and maybe it doesn't. Good Luck to ya.

mq2eskay doesn't use ninjadvloot and it mq2eskay isn't a macro

Sorry didnt realize about caps my job keyboard always on caps. i know mq2eskay is a plugin.. what do ill do to get autoloot then? otherwise then ninjadvloot? new with eskay got it last night with zerker one too have lot to figuring out haha

most folks these days use mq2autoloot - any reason why that doesn't meet your needs?
 
Having issues with using mq2 eskay in long battles in ew. for whatever reason my tank set to tank mode is not healing herself in long combat situations. attached is screenshot. Secondly, I have also turned stand on feign off because when i fd her and my main (necro puller) and i fd us she stands back up. I'm wondering if i need to adjust any of the other settings listed on the left. Thanks
