Is there any chance of making the terror line a toggle? My sk seems to hold agro well enough but the terror line Rune AAs aren't being used

you want to just use the terror line because of the cascading theft of defense AA line?
We save jolt (terror line) for if our target is targetting someone else. This allow allows that getting the aggro back you have that 20% chance to get that proc on you while your healer heals whoever had pulled aggro. the 18k per hit (at rank 20) isn't worth the loss of casting something more impactful for the fight. so I'd say no.

Ok thanks for the fast reply, btw are you working on mq2 bard? Or is that gonna be one of the last ones?
We have plans for all the classes. bard will likely (very very very likely) be the last one completed for a multitude of reasons.

Yea I kinda assumed that because they are so flexible I am currently using your 115 sic bard and he rocks, I can pull half of valkators lab on accident and somehow he locks them all down without anyone dead

at lvl 23, Sk on puller tank will pull till he hits mana limit to med, then he will never stand up again to start pulling again, if i stand him up he will esume pulling till next time he hits mana limit. is that a setting i have wrong?

Check your alt-o everquest settings, do you have "auto stand" unchecked?

Everytime I am on mount (turn off autodismount) the sk continues to cast mana regen spell endlessly so having to turn off shd when im not in battle. I also dont care for her to be in skeletal form all the time but everytime i unclick the illusion but leave the spell buff up she mems it again and cast again. Is there anyway to turn her control of this off in the file or what?

block the skeleton form. its trying to cast it because you're missing the form. if you block the form then it wont try and cast the spell just for the illusion (it will still do it for mana regen)

How do I block skeleton form? Do i need to go into a file for it?

EDIT: Disregard. I need to do some more testing before I can confirm what I thought was happening.

cwtn plugins don't care if a mob is mezzed or not - if its our target (due to either being in a tank mode, or following assist/manually being told to fight it) its going to fight it.

its definitely not just willy nilly switching targets and then casting bite on a mob

My mq2eskay SK doesn't seem to be using his terror spell (jolt), much to the chagrin of my rogue merc, who keeps dying due to aggro-related ailments. Is there some option I don't have clicked on that should be? I turned on BYOS, but that doesn't seem to help.

you don't need byos - we automatically load the appropriate lvl terrorjolt

jolts are used if you are tanking - assigned as main tank in your group window or in a tanking mode (4, 5, 7, 8) - then we go through our different threat abilities like taunt, and if your target is targetting someone else. jolt spells, and all the others.

My SK is running with mq2eskay, and he's not using his terror line. This is causing problems for my rogue merc, who takes aggro and gets herself killed pretty routinely on named pops. Ideas? I've checked, and the SK is marked as the main tank. This is happening while in puller tank mode.

I already responded to this question yesterday, within a couple minutes of you posting. You don't need to post it again.

We use jolt, ageless enmity, acrimony, and hate's attraction when your targetoftarget is on someone else.

here's me forcing it

Is there a way to save settings and window position within game? I feel like sometimes it saves my settings that I change and other times it doesn't. The window always resets to the uppper left of my screen, regardless. Do I need to manually change the .ini files for any settings to save? Having this "issue" with several of the CWTN plugins.

You should watch this video (from the start, but i linked the saving the window location moment), because it sounds like you're missing some important information.

The windows don't save your settings - they are "hot swaps" and allow you to change your settings on the fly. If you want to perma-change them, you can change them with the slash command and it will update your ini.

Here's the minute mark where i explain the window positioning.

you need to move the window, press the X to close the window, then /shd show to re-show the window.

Hi Brilliant plugin, rally useful, quick question though I am running MQ2Eskay and MQ2BeZerker, SK is a puller, a mercenary is MA, berzerker on Assist when I come back to camp, the mercenary takes the mob, my SK (low level ish so not survivable really) does DPS damage, however, my berzerker will move to the mob, I have to press Q for him to attack, then he carries on as normal, I tried this several times and I always have to press Q for him to actually attack, any clues what I am doing wrong?

so you're saying that your zerker runs to the mob but doesn't turn on auto attack? that is surprising.

you're going to want to set your SK to MA

Ah, the old "you should read the manual" strikes again! Thanks, Sic.

I wasn't being sarcastic. I was genuinely thanking you for pointing out the video(and making fun of myself for not doing due diligence).

Hi There:

I am noticing a targeting and travel issue with the MQ2Eskay plugin (ever since I downloaded the update today).

Specifically, in trying to do the Fight Fire task in Stratos, my SK only wants to target and travel to the task giver, after my crew enters the instance. When I try to run my SK up to the group of mobs, to initiate the event, the pathing line shows up and it takes him running to behind my group (toward the task giver). I can't even initiate the dialogue with one of the mobs to start things off. As a side issue, the plug-in does a weird thing in that it tried to auto-cast the Protest for Power spell multiple times (on the quest giver), and I mean 10 to 15 times.

Can you please have a look at how today's update might have caused some unintended consequences?

Thanks,

Dysanor

sounds like you left your toon in puller mode and he's trying to pull the quest mob.

sounds like a "you" error.

you should take him out of puller mode running around and zoning into places. and doing missions, probably not want to be in a puller mode there either.

the "line" is navigating to the mob and the "protest" is the pull spell trying to pull the mob since you have the plugin in a puller mode.

sounds like its working as you have asked it to.

Don't think so. I have made no changes since I purchased the plug-in and up until today, everything has worked fine. I have done the Fight Fire task over 80 times since I bought the plug-in and this is the first time I've experienced an issue. Coincidence with today's update? - maybe

so you're confirming that you are, in fact, not in a puller mode?

and does this mean that you haven't changed your mode once since you purchased the plugin?

I'm not sure what you think the update is or what about, but no. It really sounds like you are in a pull mode.

Yes, he is set as the puller, as he has been ever since I bought the plug-in. I have changed nothing in the settings and prior to today, I have been able to pull the mob I target or initiate a task dialogue with him. Today something changed, because he's fixated on the initial quest giver and I am unable to target other mobs.

Am I best to start with a fresh plug-in install and chalk it up to a weird bug?

lol

you can't just roam around in a puller mode - otherwise you are going to try and pull stuff.

this is what i'm telling you.

no, there is no chalking it up as a weird bug - you are roaming around in a puller mode - and you are going to try and pull stuff when you are in a puller mode.

In fact, zoning into a mission in a puller mode - you wouldn't even be able to walk up to the mobs to tell them "battles"

if I go into puller tank mode in here - I try and pull the grieving soul scent

1597964341856.png

I can /shd ignore so grieving soul scent is added to my ignore
1597964368504.png

but then i try and cast on a mob that is inactive because it requires us to say "battles" to start the event.

1597964385142.png

you keep saying bug - but there is no bug here - if you are in a pull mode you are going to make a camp at the spot you zone in at, and start pulling.

I suggest you take a look at my "how i move my toons around" guide and check out my hotkeys resource

Just free-balling around in a puller mode in every zone you go into is going to give you undesired behavior, and I have a very hard time believing you have just been roaming around non-stop in puller mode since day 1

for example: in Guild lobby you would just be trying to pull guards

I understand what you're saying, but let me be clearer and I'll use Fight Fire task as an example. Prior to my last attempt at the Fight Fire task, this is what I would do:

Get task, zone in group and at zone-in type: /shd mode 0, then /shd mode 8. Run SK up to the waiting group of mobs, target any of them and go through the dialogue to start the event. Run SK back to group, and as you know, as soon as the mobs are within a few feet of my SK, the yellow target line pops up and SK starts beating on the targeted mob.

I have done that over 80 times and never had an issue. Today, I had an issue.

I couldn't run my SK up to the mobs before the yellow line pops up and it's targeting the quest giver way behind my group. SK takes off toward the quest giver (weird). I never tried to target the quest giver. Can't even get close to the group of mobs ahead.

No, I'm not on drugs. Something changed today and I'm guessing it has something to do with the update.
