Plugin - MQ2Eskay 3.1.52471.11

Just want to say I love these plugins and use several of them in by box crew.

Having said that, I see the new mod rod auto inventory changes and wanted to ask the best way to add new mod rods to the clicky now that they won't stay on the cursor. My knight and druid don't seem to use the rod unless I put them in manaself which I am having a hard time doing now. Is there another way that does not require you to have the item on the cursor?

you can pause the plugin and add them

a future update is going to automatically add manarod usage

yes, you can also type by name

What am I doing wrong? Nav works, . I have the levels for the pulls right. My group is camped within the red, blue, and green circles. I'm stumped.

Each resource on RG has an Overview / Discussion Thread and either a link to their wiki or tabs with FAQ, Commands, Etc.
Please make sure to post in the respective discussion thread, and check the FAQ/Commands/Wiki for information before posting.

MQ2Eskay has a robust discussion thread, and the FAQ mentions how to determine why you're not pulling.

posting your ini is almost never ever ever something that we're going to ask about.

Please see >>> Getting Started with CWTN plugins! (Movement, UI Window, Clickies, Pulling, ETC) Check Here First! <<<

also, it says you're mode 4, which is tank.

I would make sure you review the resources available, especially the mq2eskay video (which shows pulling), mq2war vid (which shows more pulling), the "how i move my toons" video, etc

INI:
ZHigh=50
ZLow=50
Radius=100
these are very low.

if you check the mq2eskay FAQ about how to debug your pulling. you'd see doing a /shd debugpull on once will spit out a bunch of the things around you and tell you why you're not going to pull that thing.

you'd have to be in a pulling more for that (mode 5 for puller tank, or mode 8 for huntertank) - but it would probably tell you that they are out of radius

An example of your map when in pullertank mode
Blue circle is my /shd Radius (the radius from which I will pull mobs)
Green circle is the range of my pull item (my bow in this case)
Red circle is the group's camp
These circles will get "set" on your map when you set your camp and they will stay in place when you run

I'm not sure what I would or could have possibly changed since the imgui update but I've noticed that my SK used to not use defensive discs when I would turn burn mode on in group content unless they were actually needed. Now though, the first disc he fires after turning burnalways on is Kanghammer's Carapace. My group role is set to main tank so it makes sense that he would pop defensives due to that and I understand that. That's just not what was happening pre imgui update. Pre-update the first disc it would fire was Unholy Aura when I'd toggle burn always on. It would only attempt to pop a defensive disc like carapace or mantle if I was taking heavy enough damage to warrant it whether burn was on or not. Is there anything I can do other than removing my group role of main tank when I turn burns on to avoid having part (or most if I happen to be doing other things and I don't notice) of my burns eaten up by having Kanghammer's up instead of unholy aura? This becomes an issue for when I actually need Kanghammer's and it's down because it decided to fire it during a burn that I wasn't taking any dmg on to begin with. Lich in Hero's Forge for example or literally any other time I'm burning in group content and don't 'need' the defensive disc to fire. Could there be a setting or something that I somehow changed while setting up the new class plugin window?

Hi Fargrim,

sorry to hear you're using issues.

please use paragraphs. this wall of text is unpleasant to read.

none of the defensive routine has changed.

you're assertion to what "used to happen" is incorrect.

We do a tier'd defensive burn routine, carapace is "3rd" in that (1st if you don't have a shield, after deflection and shield flash).

this is correct and intended. (and looking at git, has been this way since Jan 22, 2020 - when i did a full revamp on mq2eskay)

the other time we *do* use carapace is if you're health drops below 50 (which, looking at git, has been this way since Jan 25, 2020)

Don't burn on lich if you don't want to burn on lich (we don't automatically burn on lich)

you mention using unholyaura --- we don't use that while tanking, only when not-tanking.

so, it sounds more likely that you haven't been group MainTank and not in a tanking mode, and thusly, not firing your defensive tanking routine, since a: you're now using your defensive routine and b: no longer using things we only use while not tanking.

Asking about "how not to burn"
From the aforementioned new ui's video - these are the things that cause you to burn.
1705067459379.png
so you can adjust your burning if you don't want to do the burn routines

Yes, I'm sorry about the wall of text I'll work on that I get carried away haha.

So to clarify regarding my assertions, I'm only describing what I've experienced and witnessed.
I understand you when you explain the way things are supposed to work. I also know that
even so, sometimes things do indeed have issues for one reason or another so naturally I have
to ask and find out.
I appreciate the time and effort you both put into these plugins.

I automatigically set to main tank / main assist when I log in and my group forms up.
I have been doing this for the past year at least after having watched your video on setting up autogroup.
So simply not being set as main tank before isn't the case.

My two hander is equipped 99% of the time. The other 1% is when I'm flash tanking during a raid.
So this would explain why Kang is seemingly "first" to fire as a defensive under the tier'd system.
I understand and acknowledge that.

Seems to be some confusion here.
I do want to burn on lich. What I don't want is to use carapace on lich as I don't get hit and most
definitely am not dropping below 50% hp on that fight or very many others tbh.
I wasn't insinuating that this plugin automatically burns on lich. When I get to that phase I turn on
my burns on purpose. That part was just unclear in that wall of text, sorry again.

I do know how to turn my burns on and off etc, that wasn't exactly the question I intended, but
I appreciate the effort in giving me that information.

Ultimately it seems the answer is removing the group role of main tank and then turning burns on
so defensive discs don't get in the way of offensive ones?
And perhaps I'm simply mis-remembering what was occurring before.

Thank you for the time you put into your response it is appreciated, ya'll are always above and beyond.

there is no way to peacemeal the burn routine

since you're just really looking for the additional dps stuff - i think you're thought about not being MT (nor in a tank role) is probably the best direction.

keep i mind the duration on things like unholy aura which would prevent you from using defensive active discs

Appreciate the followup, and you're welcome!

One thing I can't seem to get functioning right is when the SK uses epic 2.0. The char will fire it off everytime it's up, regardless of any parameters set, ie: sp* (grouphealth, healthself, burn, defensive). Is there a way to only have it functioning when needed? Thanks!

we already only use it when it is needed. it is part of the defensive burn routine. did you change your burncount to 1? or did you turn on "burnalways".

as mentioned in the FAQ we are automatically adding/using it - so it shouldn't be something you are adding to any addclicky

ok, i had a few parameters set for it, but i removed everything, set the burncount to 100, and made sure burnalways and burnallnamed are unchecked. it is still firing off everytime its up. The only thing I am seeing in the /shd showclickies list is {special} Innoruuk's Dark Blessing, and I can't seem to remove it from that (guessing thats what its defaulted to in that defensive routine you mentioned) I AM fighting the named cycle in the Final Fugue mission right now though, so I am going to check it on reg mobs when after it's over and see what happens. Thanks!

can you show me both a: your settings window and b: where the mq2eskay output is showing it is firing the epic?

we don't have anything configured as a burn mob in final fugue mission (mainly because folks might have stun issues --- after next patch we'll add ker as named)

we fire it as part of the defensive burn routine and if you are getting whallop'd

Ok, yeah. it's working fine now & firing only in defensive mode, when he fires off a carapace for instance, which is what i want anyway. I think I had it screwed up with too many conflicting settings it was just firing it off everytime. i always keep burn off, but something was making it go haywire.

Vorpal is not a tanking mode, so if for some unknown reason, you're trying to tank in vorpal, you're wrong - this is why you're FDing btw.

1705180697653.png

but that screenshot doesn't show all your add clickies - and it doesnt' show just firing the epic willy nilly

since you said "its working fine now" i'm going to just assume everything is as intended.

Dunno why ppl keep telling me to use it then, lol. I'm not using it anymore. I main a ranger, so I usually drive from it and use bcaa to control everything, switch modes, etc. Im trying to find a mode I like to use where I can move the char around and not have him leash back to the original spot like tank mode does. I've been using Sictank now, and that has been working a lot better. I realize it would be a lot more efficient to play the tank, I guess I am just a creature of habit. I like playing what I like playing. I also just noticed that whole little addonclicky menu , it's badass.super useful. yesterday i was sitting there looking through the output trying to find what areas I had the sk epic click in, all i had to do was tab over and look at the clicky section.

Thanks for the help man.

Is there a way to ignore list specific "nameds" for burn purposes? I'm running into a frequent spawn that's being identified as a named and thus triggering my burns while tanking, whereas I'd prefer to save my burns for more challenging mobs.

no.

what spawn/zone? modern zones we keep a manual list - older zones utilize the eq/mq information (unless we go back and manually add them)

gotcha - we're not currently using a curated list of nameds in that zone, but i can take a look - he wouldn't be one that we considered "named" so that'd fix you up

I will hit my /shd resetcamp button. Probably my most used button
Probably my most used command as well... Am I blind or is this command not documented in the "/shd help" or the commands section of this resource page? Curious is command supports coordinates "/shd resetcamp X Y".

Thanks!

resetcamp just resets your camp to where you are

I have a new one here. I have noticed for a little bit that when I pull a named mob, it will pull as normal, return to camp, but then will not activate melee attack to engage the named mob. It only does this on named mobs, and works without problem on all other mobs. the plugin will function as normal on nameds if I manually activate melee attack though. Since I haven't seen mention of it anywhere else, I'm assuming its some setting I have incorrectly dialed in. I saw mention of something to do with camp radius, but the named will sometimes be standing right next to me and it still doesn't engage. Any thoughts?

there is a current eq bug with "can't see target" - but other than that nope.

mq2eskay has done thousands and thousands of nameds at this point

yeah, i ran into that "can't see target" in GD, I assumed that had to do with some glitch in clip angles based on where I was grinding (thats what its been in the past). I haven't come across another named since I changed my camp size, so dunno if that changed the issue for me or not. I usually set my camp radius to 10 so that my SK would actually return to the camp point I set for him rather than a general area within the larger radius, so maybe thats what the problem is.

campradius is 10 is really really really silly.

a mob can hit you outside of 10, which means you won't fight them back, cause they're not inside your camp.

just leave the default if you don't have specific needs.

we do always return back to the center of our camp and then engage

Was reading the plugin output and this made me LOL. Thanks guys, I love that you have fun with this.

[MQ2EsKay]:: EPIC: I don't appear to have my Epic 1.5 or 2.0, man I'm such a slacker.

Is there a reset to defaults button for the new UI? I love the fact the settings now auto save! It would be nice to have a reset to defaults button\command should I get something out of wack and want to reset to out of box settings.

no

you can delete your config file and let it recreate it, but no, there's no button/command (and it is very unlikely to be something we create)

I'm still having some weird issues with mounts on my SK. Wicked Steed keeps getting added to downtime clickies every time I login, I have to do /shd removeclicky downtime with it on my cursor and click the mount off, and next time I log in it is back in the downtime clickies. Not even sure how I managed to add it in the first place.

How do I get it permanently off my clickies list? I know using the /shd commands edits the .ini for you.

You don't. You've apparently missed all the conversation about them being auto added automatically. You'll want to turn it off, not remove it.
If we add something that is not already there it is defaulted to on. If you turn it off, it stays off in the INI. If you remove it, we don't have any information about it's on/off state and it's readded with the default of on.

Please just use the UI window, click the mount in question, then click deactivate.

question, and i apologize if its been answered before, but it could of been my imagination, but i thought when you were invis'd it disables the bot from buffing itself, basically (pausing it) or am i remembering wrong, cause im running threw mobs invis'd and my sk keeps wanting to put his skin up even though invis'd. -

i could totally be remembering wrong.

also great work, love the plugins, i can only take myself to box classes you have plugins for lol.

If you're in a camp it does things that will break invis. If you're not in a camp it won't do things, unless you get aggro, and are helping the MA.
Melee characters or characters with UseMelee on will break invis to help the MA if they are not in manual mode.

Whats happening is I'm in sick mode or manual. I'm sk invised and running threw bunch mobs... my skin drops and he just starts trying recasting it while I'm in the middle of the mobs running breaking my invisible.

I have no aggro mobs don't see invisible where I am till he breaks invisible trying to reapply skin

you don't do this in manual mode. sictank you have a camp, so yes, you do this in sictank.

Went through the thread best I could but didn't see this asked/discussed.

Curious about the decision to not pull with Terror spells and their innate hate & initial-agro hate override bonus.
Especially considering they are part of the default spellset

Rather the fallback pull mechanism seems to be (something like) Torrent > Bite Dot > Power > Direct melee.

Granted SK are typically not fighting for agro like in the past, and maybe that's the reason, but there's still those times.

the for power line not only becomes instant cast with AA, but hate continues to tic with moar hate plus gives AC, since you're pulling, makes perfect sense - against undead it even slows them lowers dual wield % and debuffs

it doesn't have the same hate override that terror line does, which means that it may be capped at the amount of initial aggro the +threat portion gives, but the overall benefits to what it gives, we feel, outweigh it with the threat overtime and the +ac, and the potential to slow
