you have something - like boxhud, trying to access "CWTN", this is in the boxhud faq.

it might be *something else* not boxhud, but is related to that
It only happens when I change characters without camping to desktop if a CWTN plugin was running first. Could there be some environmental variables that are not flushed when the plugin is shut down?

No. Your resource using the CWTN still has that information locked, and it is no longer available because the plugin exited.

I'd suggest restarting whatever resource is using it
 
cleared Pal'Lomen mission about 10 times yesterday and noticed that with Dots on, it would sometime only nuke mobs for long stretches of time and not use dots. Have nukemanamin to 1 and dotmanamin to 1, usenuke/usedot on, BYOS/BYOS custom on, use chaotic on/off didnt seen to matter. Not sure if this is normal or outcome of something else. If i can provide any other information which will help, please let me know.
 
Has something changed with the plugin on raids? It seems to cast damage spells normally in group and solo, but in raids it only group buffs (the last 2 raids). The group does not have a group assist set and I am in manual mode with melee attack on and in the past the plug in would cast damage spells. I think it has been since the last game patch that it stopped casting damage spells on raids?

No. well, shouldn't have been --- but your circumstance is pretty unusual that i didn't account for

You always need a main assist set. For casters (like enc) it will assist your ma even in manual mode.

But you still need a raid assist set and assigned (in eq and plugin) if in raid mode or a group main assist in non raid mode.

(above information remains important about needing raidassist for raidmode, and should use group assist for non-raidmode, but i've found what you're talking about)

Anyways, I am running CWTN plugins on my whole group. Trying to do the Frontier Mtns progression tasks and ran into some trouble that I can't fix. The task is Safety of the Herd, where you get an illusion of a burnai and then help Drogan goblins kill Sarnaks. What happens is when I go to fight the Sarnaks with the automation turned on, my Enchanter (I think) throws an illusion of some goofy looking, I really don't know how to describe it, but everyone is wearing a red/burgundy robe and walks like a duck. And this illusion overwrites the Burnai illusion and so makes it impossible to complete the task. I looked at all my buffs while the illusion is on and I don't see any listed that make any sense. I also looked at my aura's and didn't really see anything that applied. I know it is probably some illusion that is also a buff but I can't figure out what it is. I alos looked down through the list of commands for the CWTN Enchanter and only saw the ones that I don't use, turned off.

Any help would be greatly appreciated so I can complete this task. Thanks in advance.

Yep, one of the many illusions I recommend blocking

(It is most likely coming from your robe fyi)
I've never thought much of it as it doesn't last too long, but are you recommending to block it as the illusion component only and keep the mana regen part? It affects part of my crew, and flops a lot on illusions like the werewolf shaman one. I did block that one but I never thought about the Scyrkin.

yes, i block any illusion i can (ones that don't prevent the good part of a spell landing) because they take up buff slots, and are fluff and obnoxious and do things like the above where they ruin a mission

Just wanted to update this thread...that worked great. Got rid of the illusion and completed the task. Thank you all. I hated that illusion anyways lol.

For any of you that don't know the commands I will save you a little bit of time...here is the syntax for your own macro's

/dgga /blockspell add me 20873... and just so you know that # is the # for the Illusion mentioned above. If you want to use this for other spells, just look up the spell in EQResource and click on the raw spell data and the # of that spell is at the toppish of the data. Hope that makes sense. Just look up any spell and you will see what I mean.

Several ways to block stuff - you can even right click on it in your buff window

Q. Enchanter is chain casting something?
A. There are a few lower lvl / mid level buffs that eq/mq2 reports stack that do not, or will chain overwrite other buffs and you get into a buffing contest with another toon. You either have this situation or some other issues. I would suggest checking for the red error text that eq gives you to tell you WHY it didn't successfully take hold and then go from there. You can block anything you don't want cast.

EQ Menu -> Character -> Blocked Buffs
EQ Menu -> Character -> Blocked Pet Buffs (to add to anyone's pet blocked spells)

/blockspell add me id
/blockspell add pet id

Q. I don't want the plugin to cast xyz buff on a toon.
A. Any buff you don't want cast upon someone, you would just have that character add it to their blocked buffs.

EQ Menu -> Character -> Blocked Buffs
EQ Menu -> Character -> Blocked Pet Buffs (to add to anyone's pet blocked spells)

/blockspell add me id

Just curious about something. MQ2Enchanter doesn't seem to be using the spell Chromatic Percussion which is just a 1.5s cast nuke that gives a rune that stacks with anything to your target of target.

Is there a reason why this spell is not recognized or perhaps a reason why I shouldn't be using it on an Enchanter?

just something we didn't add (we don't add all spell lines, but sometimes go back and add stuff for byos reasons). without looking I'd imagine they're just pretty low on the "value per cast".

I can take a look at adding for byos purposes
 
I'm sure this has been asked before, but I didn't find it on a quick search -sorry!

I love the plugin but could we possibly get a "usepet" check box like other plugins? On raids, I don't really want a pet and I get around this by giving away his tiny daggers (which is a perfectly viable workaround) - but it would be easier to simply have a check box.

If not, all good - but thought I'd ask!

Edit: Sorry, I see this has been asked before but there is a bug in EQ. If the bug still exists (likely!) I guess my question is answered!

FAQ is always the first place to check :)

Q. I don't want to use charm and I don't want to summon a pet.
A. If you have UseCharm turned off, we will summon a pet if you have tiny daggers. If you don't want to summon a pet, you will need to not have the components to do so. Alternatively, you could also turn on byos and manually handle your loadout and your buffs.

but yeah, no plans on a usepet option, if you don't want a pet, usecharm or don't have daggers :)

Recently my Enchanter has begun to snap roll off in the distance from my group. My Mage and Shaman stay put, but the Enchanter seems to have a mind of his own. Any way to have him just hang out with the rest of the group and let the melee go to work?
 
Paly is the MT/MA. Shaman and Mage are on "Manual" which sits their happy hiney where I park them. I have the Enchanter on "Manual" as well, and he takes it upon himself to move around willy nilly. The Chanter has Line of Sight to any mobs.
The Bard (And THANK YOU @Sic for the recent Bard CWTN plugin! Fantastic!) and Monk are set to "Assist".

Is this for mq2 enchanter? You didn't post in the mq2 enchanter thread, nor say.

Assuming this is. You should check the FAQ because it likely addresses your question.

A. If you are in any mode other than manual mode, you will move to mez if you don't have line of sight and the mob is in your camp radius. You will also move to get into your combat routine for things like tashing, slowing, debuffing, and to get combat going. Since our caster classes are always going to assist their MA, even in manual mode (because manual mode is really designed for melee classes), you can just go in manual mode to disable this.

I would only use it if i needed it. Id rather use mind line of nukes for synergy proc (also MUCH bigger nukes) and whirl to get mana back. on raids or long fights i stack dots cause they build up over time. But the granted rune doesnt really help me much.

Edit, Mind line of nukes also procs gift of chromatic haze, so its basically a 2nd synergy that works with your 120 spell as well.

Every once in while he'll cast wave mez, but he usually opens casting mez on the MA's target then moves down the line mezzing each one. I dont think its a setting issue because he will cast AE mez, but its sporadic and I havent been able to find a common factor as to when he does.

Q. Chain Casting Mezzes all the time and won't cast anything else in combat?
A. Double-Check that you have a group main assist assigned. Using the leader of the group, and in the group window (for others) or your own window (for self) right click the health bar. Use the available in game options to assign the role of Main Assist to the character. You should now mez everything except their target.

Q. Why does it cast Chaotic on the mob we're fighting?
A. We use Chaotic for purposes of the twincast it gives.
If you don't want it to use Chaotic you can /enc UseChaotic off

Would there be something that would cause then enchanter to run half a zone away to another mob (green line with a circle at the end and the circle is moving) when I engage mobs at the current camp? I have to pause and nav stop, then come to me on driver. I unpause and it starts running back. The place where they are running to is an old camp, and I have tried reset camp.



EDIT: I ended up unloading the plugin and reloading which seems to fix it.

it sounds like you're either a: going into a puller mode --- green is your pull ability's radius, or b: you're using additional and conflicting automation.

the only time we display that, and the only time that behavior would happen, is by being in a puller mode, or by conflicting automation having you do those things.

I don't have other automation and its set for chase. I will keep an eye out if it happens again to see if it changed to puller. I have a hotkey made to unload and load the plugin to clear whatever is happening, as it fixes itself when the plugin is unloaded.

What is your camp radius?
 
Its 60, as I haven't changed it yet since getting the plugin.
It sounds to me like you're enchanter is trying to mez something that has aggroed the group and your camp radius exceeds your desired mezzing distance.
When you're in chase your campradius determine the radius around the MA that you're willing to engage things, and for the enchanter that includes mezzing.
So it's possible you're trying to navigate around some barrier like a wall or some such, and that path requires you stray quite a ways from the MA.
