MQ2Enchanter

Plugin - MQ2Enchanter (1 Viewer) 3.1.52471.11

Love all the work going into the enchanter plug-in. Would still strongly recommend an option to fire off aoe stun, aoe mez, aoe forget, aoe root/kick/blur abilities. For those of us foolish enough to swarm with a war...this is critical. Comes in super handy when we're foolish enough to pull 3-4+ mobs to group and when fade is down. If the plug-in is smart enough to switch to control control aa's on <some count> my hat off to you. Thanks again.

Ohh...different idea...is it possible to buff off of clicky items? That's one of the coolest things about an enchanter that they can use their illusion buffs on other (red wyvern, genie, ogre pirate, etc...) which are amazing buffs...food for thought.

I had my crew in DN pulling rats and spiders on the surface. I noticed that once in a while my enchanter would charm a mob that my crew had already started fighting. Charm would land and the crew would then sit there and target the charmed mob. They wouldn't go back to pulling and fighting. Once I broke the charm and they beat down the mob, they went back to work. I watched it happen several times over the course of about 3 hours. Not enough times to cause significant issues, but just enough to make me notice. Anyone else notice this happening from time to time?
I had to turn charming off, it was fucking with far too many things, having my group sit there staring at mobs, unable to move through zones because of charm, etc.

I am experimenting with some out of group / xtarget buffing with plugin. I haven't been able to get enchanter to xtarget NET. Are we able to make NET buffing the xtarget list?

on further follow up, when out of group enchanter running plugin is not in a group they won't do mana replication buff and NET. However, if I pop a merc or have them with some sort of group. They buff the extended target list as you would want. Dunno if thats a good thing or not.

How about some /gsay snide remarks? I love it when we load up KissAssist/Plug-ins and it says...slacker work on your epic...or whatever the text is.

I'd be the coolest if the enchanter after mezzing X number of mobs...to /gsay "Yeah...20 years and you still suck at pulling (puller)"...or if the cleric is OOM..."/gsay "Slow down Turbo! I don't want my durability tested today" .. Sky's the limit, bring out the sass!

I put this into assist mode and the output states I need a mesh for the zone and goes back to manual mode. How do I get this working so its running on it own? There doesn't seem to by much information on the various modes for some reason.

Q. Trying to go mode 1 but says I need a mesh?
A. The plugins require mq2nav for movement. You will need to run the mesh updater in your RedGuide's Launcher. Please watch the video > HERE <

Are there plans to do other casters? I've never been one for silkies, bit I was thinking of making an all caster group last night and couldn't find reference to any from you other than the chanter.

we have plans on doing all of the classes.

Feature request – IDK if these are already in the works but just some ideas.
- Rune/free rune MA? Maybe healers too
- Mez count? With COV out I want to mezz at 2.

If you have a lower level toon in your group, MQ2Enchanter will keep spamming KEI even though it doesn't take hold.

Howdy Mammux,
unfortunately, there's no way for spell information to know if a spell will take hold on someone (based on lvl) without figuring out and then hard coding all the values for those spells - at least that we know of - and we asked dbg for that info too heh

you will want to just have the low lvl toon block their buffs, unload cwtnbuffs on them, or get them levels =D

Working on the third option :) how do I do the first one?

Also I have some unexpected behavior where my chanter periodically tries to run to the other side of the zone, but I haven't really been able to pin down the reason, and it doesn't happen all the time. I have these weird-looking lines in the MQ2Nav log file, but I'm not sure if it's related:

I 2020-12-11 21:30:10.651799 [MQ2Nav] Navigating to loc: (288.25, 0.13, 3.75) (C:\agent\_work\2\s\MQ2Nav\plugin\MQ2Navigation.cpp:1494)
E 2020-12-11 21:30:10.652179 [MQ2Nav] Could not find path to destination: (0.13, 288.25, 3.75) (C:\agent\_work\2\s\MQ2Nav\plugin\NavigationPath.cpp:448)

As you can see there seems to be some funky business with the x and y coordinates being swapped. The coordinates in the second line (0.13, 288.25, 3.75) are the correct ones in this case.

Turn off TashThenMez and that would stop happening. It's a known issue I haven't had a chance to address yet. It's because we store when we have a mez target what it is, then we tash it, and then we mez it, when we mez it we clear the stored ID, but if you die or otherwise don't complete the "tash then mez" of that mob, it still thinks it needs to mez that mob still. So it tries to. Fix shouldn't be too complicated, but with new expansion launch enchanters logic took a momentary break.

in game - go to character, then blocked buffs

Then add the spell by name

there is also a slash command but would require the id and such etc - just adding it in the window is probably easier

Maybe I am missing something, but NPT/NDT will only cast on 1 member in group well and its pet. I have plenty of buff slot and its not blocked, also toggled off the auto remove illusion. I did try and see if anyone else was having this issue, but came up empty handed.

OK, so working thru using this, figure best way to work out the usage was start using at lower level and since am restarting from 13 year hiatus... I think I saw something somewhere about buffs. I know it was in works but not top of list, but there was a work around for it. Main buff used by Enchanter is the mana regen. Starting with Breeze, the Clarity and so on... Other than that it's seems to be working great so far as have used it so far from level 10 to 15ish. Was the work around manually putting it into slot 7?

Love the Chanter, was one of the first toons I played tandem with rogue, and this will definitely be a great one for the boxing list.

logged back into game today after a week off, fount that all the other pulgin/marcos working great just the enc not, it refuses to target the mobs that tank is attack, will do group buffs but no dps any idea what i got wrong??

re patch.

re patch.
I'm seeing the same behavior after repatch. I've also deleted just the MQ2Enchanter.dll and repatched. Chanter is targeting enemy for debuffs about 40-50% of the time. When I switch to him he is just targeting himself or nothing. If I target enemy then debuffs start casting.

Looks like I can confirm this.

Chanter stopped targeting and debuffing but keeps on buffing my group.Same in raidmode.

Today I discovered he will do his work when I turn melee on 🤷‍♂️

yup, we will need another live patch - switchwithma got displaced with some updates (and that has a ripple effect), which is likely the culprit here

Yep Chanter was not switching with targets of the MA 90% of the time and with single pulls was not targeting the single pull about 10% of the time at all, this was after I noticed it and deleted the .dll and let VV reload the .dll on 12/17/2020. glad to hear you guys are aware of it.

I also noticed that when there are multiple mobs being pulled it will only mez once and if that wears off he will not remez, I am assuming it is because he is not retargeting the mobs after the first one.

Thanks for the great job on all of the plugins you guys still rock. hope to see either mage or druid soon.

👍

For the past week my chanter has been too lazy.
In fact he just stands there doing nothing but buffing, no mezzing, no nuking.. nada.
If I turn on melee he will nuke and melee but no mez.
He used to be the king of mezzing. Locking down before you could say "adds in camp"
Do I need to change some settings or something?

I just updated today and still acting the same.

yup, need a rebuild before its fixed.

Yeah, 100% my fault. Modified a base case which applied to literally every character except enchanter, and now the enchanter returns out of it's combat routine if they don't have a target.

For now you can make a hotkey on the MA so that when you engage you /bct chantername //target id ${Target.ID} That will jump start the chanter into action. Basically, if they don't have a target, or the target is themselves, then they skip the combat/mez routines

Loving mq2enchanter so far, but Is there anyway to output Mez messages to EQBC?

While I'm playing Main tank, its reassuring to know that enc is at least trying to do something.
I like to see cleric heal messages and would like to see enc mez messages in my mq2chat window

no we don't broadcast anything in the plugins at this time

I made a post > HERE < with a macro you could run on your toon you want to broadcast with

Didn't see it mentioned yet but would be great if we had a couple of flags to use DoT shield and Straight spell shield. Some bosses need one of the other.

Also put me down as another request to not use chaotic mez on the active target. Maybe only use it on name burns and 2nd Xtar?
