Hi All,

I'm relatively new to MQ2BST and I might be doing something wrong - but my level 95 BST isn't slowing despite having slowall and slownamed checked. I'm reasonably certain it worked at lower levels, and I know it gets swapped to AA slow later. I'm sure it's low priority if its a bug.

Mostly just making sure I'm not doing anything wrong. :)

Appreciate the feedback, love the Plugin!

once you get maelstrom at 90, we no longer memorize your "slow spell" which leaves you a gap from 90 to 100 when you get Sha's Reprisal as an AA

if you wanted to memorize the spell itself you would need to go in BYOS and memorize it
 
A suggestion for healing. When you have usemending on to not switch targets if the person you're healing is the targetoftarget since bst heal will heal your targetoftarget if you're targeting an npc when casting. Nothing major but it just helps with the switching target spam when healing the tank.

it is only the later spells that do that, unfortunately. it'll be on the "agenda" later on, but no timelines or plans for it at this time. they didn't have that when i started working on it and since most folks don't use current game mending, i never went back to sort out the logic - but it would be the same for the other couple of classes that recently got that added in.
 
I want to but the mq2bst plugin but I am a little confused about cwtn buffing. I currently play with three characters on 1 comp (WAR/BST/BER and three on a second comp (BER/BRD/CLR). If I used mq2bst, would I run into problems with BST buffs? I am under the impression that the bst might not be able to "read" the buffs of my chars on the other comp, but all BST buffs are group buffs right? Has anyone else experienced this issue before? Did you notice a problem?

all of the cwtn plugins currently require local toons local pc local install directory for buffing

it will not buff across your network. they must be "local" toons on your "local pc" in the same macroquest install directory

also obligatory "you should consider swapping to next"

if/when the buffing changes it will likely be next only
 
@Sic yes, yes I know. Switching to next is on my todo list. I’ll get it done sometime this month.

Ok. I don’t think it would be too big of a problem though. Aren’t all BST buffs group buffs anyway? As long as my local toons are getting buffs, then the other toons should get them also

aye, you can click off a group buff on main team and it would do the group buff - we currently use the ST spiritual and spiritual regen for a few reasons (bst have a few borked up spells - i might revisit that buff), so that is definitely something to consider.

you can always testcopy your toons onto the test server and try them out there and see if they meet your needs before you commit to anything, that way you can realworld test it
 
@Sic I tried to look up what was wrong with the BST buffs you mentioned. Are you talking about a bug where the group version won’t overwrite the single or something else?

If the plugin uses single target then that would be a problem for me

it is an internal thing, some bst spells that cast multiple ranks don't always cast the rank it is supposed to depend on what rank of sub spell you had. we probably have it worked around now, as bst and a couple of classes with the similar style things have a few of these 1-off issues. but as mentioned it is just an issue that existed so i opted to use the single target version.
 
@Sic those referenced spells/buffs no longer have multiple ranks, right? Am I missing something? Also, how does it handle the logic for focused paragon?

test copy and give it a whirl.

just because spiritual insight and vehemence doesn't, doesn't mean the they took away the ranks for all the other versions of the spells. so the other 3 versions of this spell line all have sub spells that have ranks.

handles focused and para at the values that you can adjust.

you should really give it a test and try it out
 
@Sic I've never copied over to test. Guess Ill have to try sometime. I'd also like to use mq2cleric but I'm imagining the same problem with toons spread across comps. I'll try sometime and report back

yup not the right tools for everyone's needs - but can always try em on test to see if they meet your needs or not
 
Feature Request
Playing on Rizlona, we just got OOW and with that the AA Hobble of Spirits. This gives our pet a permanent buff that procs snare on mobs. It is currently not setup to cast automatically. Is there a specific reason for this or was it an oversite. If so, can it be added in?

and isn't Hobble of Spirits lvl 59 at SoL?

Ahh thank you!

I am not entirely sure when I got it to be honest, its possible I bought it at one point and didnt realize what it was, I for sure didn't know about it until last week so I assumed I spam purchased it in OOW. Thanks Sic!
 
Is there a way to turn off using an AA with the plugin? I dont want to use pact of the wurine?

no there isn't.

why don't you want to use pact of the wurine? if you don't want the illusion form portion, you can block that since it is indie from the rest of the buff portion of the spell, but i've never heard of a reason to not want the buff
 
Are there stacking issues with the shaman version? Only thing I can think of

I run with a shm/bst group as my primary group (and have several other groups with shm/bst at various levels/tiers), haven't seen any issues, we already check stacking for usage as well. I'd rather hear the actual reason from Mysta than speculate.
 
Love it so far, my only issue is the stat buffs, is it possible to turn off stuff like str/dex type buffs only? With stats capped they just waste buff slots and I have to click them off tank to get the other chars buffs?

When you block them through the EQ client on the receiving character, the plug-ins use that information to skip those buffs.

we only do the lower lvl stat buff stuff at lower level, and if you don't want any of those buffs on a particular character, you can block the buffs as many_whelps indicated and as mentioned on the FAQ

A. Any buff you don't want cast upon someone, you would just have that character add it to their blocked buffs.
EQ Menu -> Character -> Blocked Buffs
EQ Menu -> Character -> Blocked Pet Buffs (to add to anyone's pet blocked spells)
 
noticed some new "behaviour" on my Bst.

Role: Assist

When fight ends,
_Bst opens spellbook
_memorizes Spiritual Insight to slot 7
_does NOT cast it (already up)
_0,25 secs later open spell book again - reloads Nemzaq's

Does that whenever returning to camp in assist mode.

not really new behavior.

for him to do that, that would mean when he went to open/memorize the spell, someone was in range and currently needed spiritual insight, when he went to cast it they are no longer in range.

a pet spazzing out? or puller already ran away perhaps?

or. if you have combatsummonpet turned on, and you get a mob on aggro, you'll put that misc gem back to your normal spell so you can do normal fighting stuff. if you don't want to combat summon pet / buff and ensure your misc gem is always returned back when you have mobs on xtarget, you would want to turn off combatsummonpet
 
I noticed that on the BST compile that the alliance and force alliance is blacked out. I was using it with 3 115 BSTS and couldnt use alliance or is it already built in the program. Also is the BST epic supposed to go off like the Shaman compile does? Thank you

please post mq2bst questions in the mq2bst discussion thread.

"force alliance" and "alliance burn only" are blacked out unless "use alliance" is turned on.

If you are using 3 beastlords in the same group, you just need use alliance turned on (and allianceburnonly if you wanted to only use alliance when your burn conditions are met)
if you are using 3 beastlords not in the same group, you would turn on usealliance and forcealliance (and allianceburnonly if you wanted to only use alliance when your burn conditions are met)

We don't automatically use the beastlord epic.

And if you ever want to be sure if we do or not, we say if we use the epics automatically in the FAQ of each of the plugins.

Bst is one of the classes we don't automatically use your epic 1.5/2.0 - there are a bunch of debates as to whether or not it actually hinders a roll for your pet to proc a stun, and at "current game" the benefit of the 1.5/2.0 is pretty minimal as is, and isn't worth taking up a "roll for a stun proc". But if you did want to use it you would add it to addclicky offensive or burn.

Ok was asking I was using 3 BST working on AA's tried to use Alliance but maybe not after reading this. Thanx for he help will try it again
 
Having issue with Advloot window not showing and BST not looting. I type /advloot and is shows the scripts / help in MQ2 window, same as /autoloot. but i can not get the advloot window to open. even tried /plugin mq2advloot load and get message can not load

mq2bst doesn't do any looting or loot management at all

mq2advloot isn't a thing

advloot is an eq thing

you might be thinking of mq2autoloot

I do use MQ2autoloot, but it won't work if the radial is checked to use advloot...

/advloot should open the Advance Loot Window... but it's not... so maybe i just having an issue with EQ and not the plugins
 
Issue resolved... somehow advanced looting option got turn off and had to go thru EQ button to get it turned back...
 
Not sure if bug or I'm doing something wrong, but my bst suddenly started summoning bread. I'm guessing there's a check for if they're out of food for this, but I have some iron rations in a bag. Is there a minimum? I only have 3 atm.

howdy knave,

no it sure isn't a bug.

if we're set to summon food and drink (by means of summonfooddrink coincidentally have less than 5 food or drink :)

you can turn that off as you'd expect by using the option for it.

/bst summonfooddrink off
