Plugin - MQ2Bst 3.1.52471.11

Question... why when my bst is not the main screen, and he is attacking the mob my sk is tanking.. he constantly walks forward backwards while dpsing? - what do i need to do to fix this? makes it pretty obvious im up to something in my opinion!
If one of my toons has the "follow me" button toggled on while fighting, any other toon with a cwtn plugin that is supposed to be melee-ing will do this.

I love the plugin, thanks for all your hard work, and your great support. One issue I've seen recurring is though I turn off the toggle for Burn All Named, my bst randomly uses his burn abilities during raids. Last night I ran the command /bst burnallnamed off and it stopped doing it, but I'd rather keep the ini set to on and toggle it off during raids. Is there any way to address this other than changing it by the /bst command?

These are all situations which you will burn. Likely cause is you have BurnCount set. If you don't want to burn based on count, change burncount to a number greater than 13

Maybe an UI issue, don't think it's fps issue since it's on 60 + on background

you having latency issues? or slow server response issues?

the memorizing logic is the same for all the class plugins. the only time i can reproduce this is with messed up background fps issues - or if i go to alt-tab right when it thinks its going to memorize a spell sometimes this can make it happen - which i'm curious if doing that with mq2eqwire causes the same behavior as low fps when in between no drawing and drawing.

without being able to reliably reproduce the issue, it is near impossible to track down.

Wish i had something more to add than that. We ask mq2/eq "are we memorizing a spell - if so: do you" and then "if you're not memorizing a spell and your book is still open (and you're not in manual mode and byos etc)" then get outta the book and get back to work!
 
Yep i am using mq2eqwire. And no, all is working fine, no latency etc. It just happens when he get rezzed mid fight and try to resummon pet. When he is out of combat , he summons pet without any problem.
I'll check on another computer and see if i have the same issue. Thank Sic for the fast answer.
 
ok - so just with the combat summon stuff?

we use the same spell book stuff - just a different call to use it if combatsummon compared to other stuff.

I'll give it another peak - but again, without being able to reproduce it - its tough if eq/mq2 says otherwise and we're relying on that

did you manually clear your target as you were going to cast the spell? that is the only way this can happen as the calls to use that ability are given spawn information to target before it is used.

Having the exact same issue on virtually every death.
 
I’ve also noticed this. I assumed it was due to latency on my end from my crappy internet. I’ll try the reloadui thing though! Bst sat staring at her spellbook after Rez for half of velks mission today after she took the initial hits from bledrek and died.

if what is causing it is what i think it is - reloading ui shouldn't really do anything - and it *kind of* is related to the server (where server response and latency and whatnot might have an inpact), however we use other means elsewhere in the plugins to work around that - i'll have a few folks test up my fix and it it resolves it get that pushed.

The combatsummon update didn't get pushed to our live repo for this build - will likely have it pushed for next update (sent to a couple people, haven't heard anything back yet)
 
Is there a way (a command line) to see which spells the bst is going to use? I see them when i upgrade them but dunno if that is possible after that.

when you load the plugin it tells you what spells it needs/wants - but there's no way to spit out and tell you what spells its going to load or whatnot - because it also uses buffs and other stuff like if you had byos, it still looks to use spells.

best bet is to see what gets spit out when you load the plugin

I just went back to try and find the thread where someone was saying they didn't feel like the UI/plugin was correctly saving/setting Paragon values, but i couldn't find it as it was a bit back.

Tl;DR - going through some things i had a Zig where a Zag shoulda been (and in some parts both). so that issue will go away next update.

it *is* possible that you might have to reset your values at first, but going forward it will save correctly as expected
 
also working on further adjustments to combat mem. its actually possible to open your spell book and walk around - which is obviously not what we want.
 
ok - had an epiphany while sleeping about the combat mem issue - and I know how to resolve it, just need to figure out how we want to implement it.
 
Anyone know any good tweaks for this MQ? Right now, my 112 beast is parsing basically equal to my 113 warrior.

i would check that you have all the gear/aa/spells that you should have. there aren't really any "tweaks". sounds like you just need the appropriate stuff for your level.
Beastlords are definitely needy as far as AAs go. And you definitely need a good pet earring - your pet dps is a significant chunk of yours and a good 1h/h2h and a good 2h (pref monk/bst specific weapons - i use katar/battle rod and battle staff).

Def give the mq2bst video a watch where i go over stuff.

I also recommend HDex for your augments
This is more or less what i usually run with. I don't use slowall because fights are so fast i don't really care about slowing stuff, but use SlowNamed so we do slow named.
I don't UseMending which then we load another dot

Something i noticed this morning after a rez my bst, he popped focused paragon and then a second later he popped regular paragon completely wasting focused.

i'll take a look at it some time soon - but we check focused against para and para against focus - so something must be messed up around there.

It's something i barely noticed, i just happened to see the spell names in chat right after one another so i check and both were recently used. hope I'm wrong lol
 
Can you explain what the 'SlowAll' function does?

Does it just mean - slow every mob as it targets?
It would actually be handy if it meant 'Slow Every Mob on Extended Target'

If i pull 6, if bst is primary slower, it would be handy if it slowed them all and then engaged

Nah, we have no plans to do that.

From the FAQ

Q. Slow All doesn't slow all?!
A. Slow all doesn't cycle your xtarget to slow all, its just to "slow all mobs we're fighting"
 
I run mq2bst is there a way to have it cast my illusions on my pet I tend to use that to see when I have them equipped with weapons and such?
 
I really suggest watching the video and reading the resource post and how it works, it will clearly tell you how to add clickies that can do things.

yes, you would add it as a downtime. like kaen said (sporali metamorph doesn't work fyi, others work fine)
 
Quick question, I have /bst PetShrink enabled (shows enabled in the ini and on the settings screen, but my bst never shrinks the pet. Level 86 with all the relevant AA. If this has been covered before, I didn't see it, but I wanted to ask if this is a known issue or if I just have something configured incorrectly. Thanks.

is your pet over 2.04 height? it would only shrink it if it was.

Just double checked it here

which reminds me i meant to go back and add usage of "tiny companion" spell for bst like i did sk

Thanks for the reply. I don't know how to validate the current pet height (guessing there is a command to echo the physical attributes of a mob, but I'll have to look it up). I have the AA and it never casts it. The reason I noticed it is that it's so quick on the group shrink that by the time I'm done zoning, my group is already shrunken, haha.

Anyway, it's a not a big deal, just seems like it's not working to me. I'm an ogre with a bear, so it makes a big difference when I shrink it down. Thanks!

well are you sure the group shrink isn't hitting it?

also, the AA is Diminutive Companion lvl 85, but its House of Thule.

I made a fresh 85 ogre bst to try and replicate what you're saying.
I let it cast the pet - I turn on pet shrink but since 85 heroic doesn't auto get diminutive companion, I group shrink it instead.

Internally we use avatarheight for the pet because pets are special

but if you target your pet and do /echo ${Target.Height} after he gets group shrunk up he should be somewhere around 1.44 to 1.56

Thanks for the explanation and the command to look at the height. For some reason, I was expecting the pet to be the same size relative to the characters (after shrinking), so I just thought the shrink wasn't working. After logging in just now, I can confirm the pet is 1.44, so if that's the correct size, that's what it should be. I did notice that when I manually hit the pet with the Diminutive Companion AA, the height afterward is .96.

Again, not a big deal, just thought it wasn't working as intended. Thanks for looking into it.
