Loving this plugin, i know its in beta, but i'm making a request to turn off aggro control. i prefer not to hit playing possum when i reach 100 aggro for a brief second. i have other means to assist with staying alive.

Also does not use bark at the moon, and Growl of the panther spell lines, uses lower lvl spells in line on TLP, am loving the potential of this plugin so far, and use mq2berzerker, even using the lower lvl spell sets, its out DPSing my previous macro's in short fights, would love to see what it can do with my current spells, is there any way to add a toggle for paragon? I like to save that for MGB's in raids

U are trying to use kissassist with usemq2melee on - you will need to turn that off. All the cwtn plugins turn off mq2melee. mq2bst has all the modes that all the CWTN plugin has - so you might find no need to use kissassist at all.


you mentioned that it isn't using bark at the moon, but the screenshot shows that it is (obviously in byos mode as the non-byos mode tries to use feralgia)

The growl of the panther line i haven't put all those abilities in yet (tho most of that spell timer 5 is already added), as there are some that are named the same thing despite being different levels - I'll see if i can check it out

I can add a toggle for paragon for sure, I'll do that this morning

I'm using kissassist to keep up a ferocity rotation, amongst other buffs, and I did misspeak, it auto mems a lower swarm pet, and lower growl buff, it wont use the better growl, but it does use the better swarm once I figured out BYOS. Thank you for your fantastic response time, and to your humoring my requests
 
Had a couple questions about the Growl line today - we're using Feralgia (once you get Feralgia) which gives your pet an alternate form of the Growl line, so we get the swarm pet AND growl buff.

I'll be looking into the growl for lower levels to ensure we don't have an issue since there are multiple "Growl of the Leopard" spells (61 and 104)

hrm i thought i posted this reply earlier but it didn't post ( you're welcome and things are in the works for some of the lower lvl use)
 
thanks a lot boss, I never noticed that the macro's had a toggle for use mq2melee, that fixed it right away, and for now I'm just using the growl line from kissassist, TLP's dont have Feralgia yet.
 
Can you add controls so that it's not blowing Paragon of Spirits and not constantly recasting Spiritual Vibrancy? All of my toons keep Vibrancy blocked for the ranger buff/brell's.

are you on test? (i dont think the recent updates got pushed for the last test build, and I'm pretty sure they didn't get pulled for the recent build for live)

i have already added useparagon toggle and the new buff check function wont try and cast it on you if you have it blocked

(don't forget to have mq2kissbuffs loaded on all of your toons)
 
i am loving this also but mine is only spamming ikiatar venom over and over
yup, there are times that spamming blood is better dps than not spamming blood - particularly during vindication

but if you mean literally only casting blood and nothing else, then something is definitely wrong, heh
 
Getting some crashes when switching modes, cannot reliably reproduce

What I found so far.
/bst mode 0
move to camp
/bst mode 1
do a bit of grinding
/bst mode 2
move to new camp
/bst mode 1
eek crash

There may be some kiss interferance as I regularly forget to endm it and hotkey starts it on all of the group, forgot to check for a dmp file, will do when I'm at computer again.

We've seen some crashing with mq2map when it removes camp cicrles, but we can't steadily reproduce it - curious if this is the same crash

wiped all dmp's since i wasn't sure which one it was (sometimes crash when logging also) will do on next one. no mq2bst.dmp one
does sound as if is then rather mq2map
 
one thing i dont like about it is how it handles the dots. They should be cast first and not ever under 50% unless its a named. Also maybe give us an option to just only dot named and not every mob.

Otherwise mq2bst is awesome. I have my own bst macro and the plugin does double the dps.

was trying to send you a msg on discord, but you're hidden or something.

there is a dotmanamin setting which defaults to 60, if we are under this idotmanamin we won't cast any dots (outside of vindication)
if we are above idotmanamin we will only cast blood if the mob doesn't have blood dot (blood is more efficient than even our nukes, even without the dot portion of the spell)
if we are above idotmanamin we will only cast the other dots if we are above idotmanamin and the target is still above 80 health (or named) by the time we get to that part of the routine (which is very low on the routine, so would usually be a giant or a mob with very large health, or our group is doing really low dps)
We also have blood (without regard for anything) inside our gift of magic check
If we are in vindication we want to spam blood as long as we're over 30% mana - this might get some tweaking later, and i don't like the magic number, but because of the way the mechanic works, and using my bandoswap function, swapping to 2hander its huge dps during vindication
 
@Sic is there more information on this plugin somewhere? I loaded it up tonight it looked like it was running properly but the beast would never attack.
 
There isn’t a plugin page for this yet since it’s not technically in beta yet. You need to pick a mode for him to attack. /bst help should show you the commands you can turn on or off. Set your main assist and then /bst mode 1. He should assist when something is pulled.
 
When using MQ2BST, I have noticed my bst will run out to engage a mob well outside of the CampRadius. I have seen this in ToV EW where mobs will root the puller for a time. I have also seen it in GD on Kodiaks or dorfs who do not root. This definitely is not happening every pull, perhaps 10% of the time.

I noticed that my Bst was not casting Celerity (haste) on the group. I did a quick search and did not find that toggle. Is there a command to have him buff the group with haste?

What lvl are you?
I don't have the individual celerity/alacrity put in there yet - I have the Velocity line which at lvl 78 it gives group haste.

Bst is one of those classes that has some stupid spell lines that don't progress logically

Edit : scratch that - I still need to go back and finish with the single velocity line now that we have buff stacking fixed - I'll see what i can do about celerity while I'm doing that

He is 110. The group makeup is War, Cler, Bard, Bst, Monk and Zerker. Normally I get my enchanter to haste the group before heading out but didn’t last night. I only noticed it when I was pulling with the monk and got overzealous which resulted in his death. I unplugged the macro, hard cast it on the group and resumed killing.

Nothing stuck out in settings
Does it do this in assist mode (mode 1) or just vorpal?

I'll need to see if i can replicate it - in theory all of the plugins use the same processes for determining when they should be assisting and doing stuff - but i'll look into it - if you end up being able to replicate it PM me on the boards or discord

In fact - I use autoassistat 100 on my team heh, they should only be engaging once the mob is back in camp

(This isn't the mq2bst "support thread" as its not an active resource yet, but that is definitely something not really on my radar)

then he would have the group velocity version with group haste if he isn't /bst missing anything --- do you have /plugin mq2kissbuffs load on all your toons? it won't buff other characters if you dont

the more i think about it - I'm wondering if its engaging once the mob is within range of your tank since vorpal mode uses the same logic as chase assist --- meaning it uses your campradius setting but compares it between the MA and the mob where a mode that sets a camp (like assist) would compare the campradius distance from the mob to the camp

if you want the bst to engage in "camp" you will need to use a mode that sets a camp, like mode 1 (assist mode)
 
Thanks Sic. Ya, I had not considered that it used chase assist to measure the campradius. Could be the issue. I will change the mode around, I would expect the behavior will change with that.
 
Is there a way to tell the plugin who to cast Focused Paragon on?
nah

you can toggle off using regular paragon, but focused will look to use it on you first, then will check the rest of your group - its a very fast recast so we use it aggressively

Ty! Does it go by lowest mana % in group or something if you're full mana? Or any sort of preference?
 
currently checks yourself for 90 mana or endurance, then goes down your group list checking group end or mana for less than 80
 
Love the plugin, only I do have a couple of minor issues. Well actually one issue with two abilities. Namely, feign, and paragon. I have them turned off, and yet, they both still activate and function as if they were on. very frustrating, when it randomly feigns when I pull a mob, or buff myself, my pet, or a groupmate. Just using manual mode, and occasionally sictank because i play mostly solo. but the random feigns mean i have to pull with a dot or the mob will clear aggro, and even then if i have to split now i can't because it just feigned for absolutely no reason. Also casting paragon when the timer lines up with a mob just getting to the camp, spamming paragon on me before i can sic my pet is really frustrating. my HoT geared BST can barely take hits from HoT mobs, so if i get two i die before my pet can be sic'd to take aggro, because for some reason paragon is more important to my bst than surviving is. That said, it is a wonderful plugin, very convenient for a class with a bunch of abilties.

the plugin is currently using feign to handle the everquest bug with "stuck gems" and if you are manually pressing abilities, it is going to think you have a stuck gem and will feign you to try and fix it - I might consider making it do the stuck gems if you are not manual mode

Ahh I see. Aye, disabling it in manual would be quite an idea, it does make actual manual play quite a pain. Works great if you are botting in a group, but using it for the convenience of not having to click everything makes that undesirable. Thanks for the reply. In the meantime, is there anything I can do to counteract it? Thanks a bunch
