I've been running this Explore.mac and it works great until He gets stuck in a loop going from Cabilis West to Field of Bone. He just keeps zoning back and forth. I downloaded the meshes mentioned and tried the Very Vanilla Mesh updater and its still doing it.

The loop is so tight I have to constantly pound the /end button to make it stop.


Any ideas?

Something of a fix.

I manually ran him to Field of Bone and restarted Explore.mac. He is now continuing.

I'm confused. The code doesn't have you go from Cabilis West to Field of Bone... Hell, the zones aren't even connected. Is the problem between Cab West and Cab East, or Cab East and FoB? And I'm assuming this is the RoK route?

Yes, it's kunark route. I did post a solution below my original post. That's to navigate to Field of Bone and restart the macro. From there it works well.
 
I understand, but I'm trying to find out why it happened so I can prevent others from having the issue.
As I said, the zones aren't even connect in EQ. So I'm assuming you're talking actually Cab East zoning into FoB. It's next nav should be to Kurn's Tower. And that looks to be correctly nav'd...

So, can you clarify where this is occurring? And which mesh you're currently using?

Is it possible to add an option to make this macro respect my existing loot rules? I got back to PoK from a single expansion run and had bags full of vendor trash and quest items. I'm not hurting for plats so much that it's worth my time to trawl through all my bags sorting this stuff out.

Apart from super smooth and I appreciate your work here =)

P.S. Super stretch feature request: Add the optional achievement zones in as an option =)

I immediately unload MQ2loot when I run this, because like you I didn't want all this trash shit in my bags.
 
The use of MQ2Autoloot was decided upon because of bugs were opened during development about the loot window filling up and causing issues. This was the best overall option on how to handle it.

[SIZE=26px][B][General] Detect, Alert, and possible handle inventory overflow #66 --Tester #3[/B][/SIZE] Two of my characters were looting trash loot, bags got full and couldn't click the POK stone with items in hand, need to not loot. --Tester #4 Noticed this today as well. Suggest turning Advl off when running to self resolve this issue. --Dev #1 Incorporated MQ2Autoloot. Code moved over into route-debugging brach. Download Explore.Mac and retest. --Tester #8 Sucesfully left the Loot on Bodies when Inventory Full and did not keep hand loot. Bug closed by Tester #8
 
I can confirm that the RoK route currently results in bouncing back and forth between east and west cabilis. The navigation attempts to have you cross over the little bridge that is in the middle of the zone line.
 
Macro seems to be bugging out on the parcel vendor window too. It worked for 1 type of potion, but then just hangs on "waiting for parcels".

What version of the macro are you running? (This was an issue with an older version, but I believe it was fixed.)

Latest version according to the RedGuides launcher.

Using the mesh from the RedGuides mesh updater, but I don't think this is a problem ... the character finds the parcel guy in PoK just fine, opens his trade window and clicks the 'Parcels' tab just fine. It just waits for a parcel to arrive that has already arrived. For 1 of the 4 potions it bought it grabbed the parcels fine. The other 3 it just endlessly waited.

I just manually clicked 'retrieve' on the parcels for the ones the script borked on, restarted the macro and everything else was fine.

Your Ext Target window had some slots set to something other than auto. :)
 
goes back and forth between cabalis east and west. can't get it to pause, end or anything cuz it literally keeps turning around and zoning back and forth, had to ctrl alt deleted. has happened on a few separate toons at this location.

This is the second report of this.
Do me a favor, try downloading the CabEast mesh from this site and see if the problem persists?
 
Also getting stuck on the east/west cabilis its almost impossible to stop the zone loop without ctrl alt delete. I tried /dex toonname /end with no luck lol tried to speed type /end but threw in the towel I'll try this mesh and hopefully resolve as it did for @Carm . Other than this one hangup it works great now that I have all the right files and folders I hate directories

Great tool, had it for a couple months. I am having an issue where it unloads my CWTN zerker plugin? Its fine with cwtn sk/clr/war/bst/shm.. finally got around to it being the zerkers turn, started it, ran fine? it seemed, when it beeped for focus for sol ro, im like huh.. layout of the UI looks odd.. zerker plugin was unloaded (not the UI window closed, actually unloaded).. reloaded plugin, MQP to restart MAC.. unloaded.. curious, swapped to another zerker.. same thing.. even more curious, tried it on a spare shm i had to see if it was cwtn, but worked without issue.

Its not telling me why its unloading it (at least not in MQ widow)..

Anybody else have this, or is it a setting on my end?
 
Question, I start the mac and its on the Ldon section it gets the gate potion Zones to WFP then EFP and once in efp The adventure window opens and closes continuously and I just stand there. What am I doing wrong or what do I need to do to get past this

got it to work by pausing and running to nro and unpausing

After running it a bit here is some advise.
Prep:
1) Save yourself time and go to https://github.com/BDeakins/DeneCore-Meshes and replace CabEast. Just do it.
2) Make those pause and unpause buttons. If you do not wish to see 2 or 3 nag screens regarding potions - follow the instructions and purchase them. You may find spreading them out in different bags helps. I did not duplicate this to find exactly what is going on.
3) Be aware if you use an illusion with levi or have perma levi cast on you these will be removed on zoning into certain zones. Levi is removed when you enter a zone by falling. PoD is one example. This is one reason why the potions are requested. If you can have the illusion gnome cast on you that is helpful. Being small is important in some zones. Gate potions, Thrones and Steins are good for a quicker explore - highly recommended you follow those requests.
If you have issues with the parcels or the nag screens *wait until the bazaar window populates. Then use /mqp off for each time the bazaar window populates. If you are already shrunk and invis that does help. If your toon needs potions, etc it is going to request an off for each request. Read carefully, some requests state mqpause off others mqp off. Mind you if you have a shrink clinky it uses these items but I found it faster to have those done prior to starting the macro.
Now, for the people (Like me) that purchase macros then avoid following directions understand there will be quirks. I don't always follow directions. Therefore I have no reason to complain it isn't working as intended.
I wish the macro had a toggle with a message like "At your own peril you ignore me" followed by the ever present and to me amusing "Do not bug me for user errors when you don't follow directions and die" message, That, of course is my interpretation of the line. Not a direct quote. After the shrink and hide for this toon, completely ignoring levi and the possibility of plunging to my death after 2 "offs" the toon starts running.
I personally found it easier to do specific expacs at a time and keep an eye on the toon. I never found a way to do half a zone or have the macro skip zones I have already done. To be fair I didn't look into it deeply, it might be there. For quicker achievements do the smallest expacs first. Check under the General Tab under each expac to find those if you do not know them.
Critique: I wish it had a toggle on the invis and levi items with a warning. Maybe a prompt asking if they wish to auto search the bazaar. I do not. Inform users they will get stuck in zones, fall to their death and/or be beaten into guild lobby and have to start over if they don't follow instructions. I found a way around it of course, but a toggle would have been nice.
Review: I feel I have gotten my money's worth. It certainly saved me A LOT of time. It was a massive undertaking and I am glad I purchased the macro. Good work!

Retrieve the potions manually. It should resume. Push come shove, end the macro, retrieve the parcels, and restart. That parcel section was tested repeatedly, but it's still not super solid.
 
Had an issue recently where it gets stuck on an endless loop zoning into Cab East then Cab West etc.
 
Use the meshes from my repo. The mesh provided by the updater has an issue.
Will try updating all my meshes to your versions, thank you! I have also noticed that ogres seem to get stuck on trees and in cave systems fairly often, I use old models for Ogre so maybe this has something to do with it?
 
We tested for months (literally) with gnomes and ogres to try to avoid hangups, but can only do so much in that regard. I never thought to test with old models.

Did you download the denecore stuff like the instructions and faq say to do?

As Sic stated, did you install DeneCore? (I STRONGLY advice using the Watch feature on the forums for both DeneCore and Explore.Mac to enable the Launcher to install and maintain both.)
You will also want to pay attention to your meshes. Some of the ones provided by the Mesh Updater were optimized for other macros and cause issues. The FAQ has a link to my mesh repository for meshes that were used during testing of Explore.mac.

I royally screwed up my macros and shit where kissassist would not work and like a virus my plugins began to crash (haven't had crashes for weeks)
Short story Copied my redguides folders from Ddrive to R drive and started again.

Now the explore runs but does not move my toon at all.
It did once in pok bought me philter of the ant from bazaar and then took me to the parcel merchant.

Now wont do anything

Is it a simple fix please ?
 
1. Make sure MQ2Nav is working outside of Explore.Mac
2. Manually pick up the parcel potions (that code has always been a bit flakey)
 
OK Works on all my other toons except Druid so it must be something I am doing will try what you said.
She can /nav target to anything but just doesnt go anywhere
