Addclickies in the CWTN plugins are also not firing with this build. Didn't even notice it until this morning. I tried a couple in burns, downtime and offensive on 3 toons/classes to verify.

Answering this directly: Yes, I've looked at your changes. No, I'm not making guesses about my statement.

I said my piece on this and my intent is not to belabor the issue. I understand your frustrations though I don't think there's reason for the hostility, but I do want to address the "vaguebooking" issue. There are potential legal consequences with anyone in the USA telling you directly "this is what I found" and then you using that information. It's a line I'm just not willing to cross. I've never been willing to cross those lines in my history with this project and I am (and have been) pointing you in the direction so that you're aware and what you do with that is up to you. I understand that it's frustrating. I understand that, having never talked to me or otherwise interacted with me, you don't know me well enough to think that I'm acting in good faith. I cannot change how you perceive me.

Anyone working on this project is free to take the stance that they don't care about the consequences (either to themselves or others). I took the stance that I do care. That requirement doesn't rest on your shoulders, it rests solely on mine and I've said what I needed to say with regard to that responsibility.

I was hesitant to post at all because I thought that some would take it as me crapping on the work. Some will still take it that way no matter what I say. Ten years ago there were tons of people who didn't believe that MQ2IC was doing bad things either. Some still don't believe that. And in any case, there will always be people who don't care. The best I can do is raise the issue so that people can make informed decisions. If you choose to take that as a personal affront or think I'm acting in bad faith, it is what it is.

I have always appreciated Knightly and his post over the years. I know very little about programming and how to write stuff and find stuff. I do know over the years, His post have been spot on. If I wanted a truth his post was that. I appreciate his input and even though I am not currently a user, its still important to see the truth.

This is a big codebase. Many components to take into account. Huge learning curve.

Nobody has for damn near 2 years now. Even with them it was a massacre across all fronts.

In this thread we want to celebrate a brand new MQ team issuing a successful update. It was not easy and it took a lot of work, coordination, and late nights. I didn't think it could be done, and I'm thrilled these guys proved me wrong.

This is my approach also. I have 2 accounts that are pure MQ accounts (seperate computer, KR paid, etc). I do undertstand the folks that use it wider.

As someone who has been a dev (primarily a SQL hack) for way to long, I understand how team transitions can be a rough at times. I do appreciate everything that the longtime devs along with the folks who stepped up have done.

I have always assumed they can detect that I'm using MQ regardless of the efforts the MQ devs have expended to prevent it. I don't think it matters really. I firmly believe that DPG's "cheat detection" efforts are pure theater. They have no intention of banning every account they detect. If they did, they would take a non-survivable revenue hit. I think that they throw out a few suspensions here and there, and many fewer permanent bans here and there solely for the purpose of word of mouth getting around to convince the EQ player community that DPG is doing "something". I have literally had several instances of accounts suspended that I canceled the sub and stopped logging it in, and 6 months later it caught a suspension again when that account had not been logged in for a single second in that entire time. It's pure theater. It's foo. It's F.U.D. designed to mollify the screeching anti-boxers, and nothing more. DPG knows where their bread is buttered. They are just navigating a balancing act. If some EG7 exec hasn't had DPG run up the numbers as to what percent of their revenue is detected MQ users, they are too stupid to be in business in the first place.

I've not been logged in if MQ isnt available. Also won't renew subs on most boxes unless a working MQ comes out for live. If MQ live falters, then i'll likely play with far fewer boxes and use Boxcar or try out ISBoxer. I've used Boxcar in the past. It's moderately workable.

In the same realm, I was curious if there were any Log based programs that could help assistant in game? Any reason HP couldn't be monitored in the log and then the cleric told to heal? Just curious.

Nothing in the log tells how much HP you have.

Huge congratulations are in order for @captboom, @boxbuddy, @ncellular, @iluvseq and @Sic for working non-stop over the last week to bring you a build for the Test server! After MacroQuest devs retired from live/test (to focus exclusively on emu) we weren't sure if we'd ever see another live/test build, but this is the beauty of open source. If there's demand, skill, and time, it'll happen.

At the same time, there are some signs that new MQ detection methods were added to EverQuest, so please think twice before playing with a valuable account, at least for the first few weeks.

Thank you guy so much, for your time and work on this.. How can I help... they are playing with fire... I mean do they want us to stop playing the game.. I know I pay for 7 All access accounts..

I whole-heartedly agree.

Especially because I've been caught by GM's absolutely blatantly automating, and each time they have just asked if I'm at the keys, and said have a great day when I say that I am.

Why not ban me on the spot if they were really on a holy crusade against botters?

I feel like assuming there is a unified approach or plan here that everyone at DBG is 100% onboard and/or cares about isn't a safe thing to be assuming.

The unfortunate position I'm in, having relinquished control of this portion of the project, is that anything I say is going to seem like I'm naysaying the people moving forward. It will seem like bitterness coming from the old guard. I'm not naysaying nor bitter and I wish them the best. However, I do care about people getting suspended and banned, so I'm going to say this and then I'll leave it alone.

That line that Redbot has in bold is something I asked him to add I don't think it's strong enough. This build unequivocally misses things that should have been caught before pushing a build to users. And it chooses to do nothing about those either because they don't see it, they're not sure how, or they haven't put time into it yet. Whatever the reason, I think the wording "there are some signs" is much too light and I would not use this build on any account you care about.

I understand this puts me at odds with others working on this and that some will think I've lost the right to say anything given that I'm not working on it myself. I'll also not press the issue. But it's a pretty important issue that feels like it's a bit glossed over, so I'm mentioning it. Do with that information what you will.

That said, it's not at all up to me what people choose to release or how people use stuff on their account. I just think disclosures are important so people can make informed decisions.

I know someone who is working on something using Claude + Logs. We'll see there. For non-MQ, i've had Claude make some decent Autohotkey scripts that will handle multiple timers (F8 pulling, hit keys in order, rebuff after time period).
