Question - Zoning your whole group?

The largest reason that's keeping me from filling out the whole group is traveling to each camp. Is there any easy way I can make all the characters zone behind the main I'm driving so I don't have to tab over and zone each one?

As an example, I want to load in my characters, drive with my main, go from PoK, into lobby, into guild lobby, and click on the wooden door our guild has into LI, but I only want to do those things using my main character. The video that I found on here gives some instruction on giving a command and the toons all run themselves, but I'm not really wanting to rely on that, I just want them to follow me through the zones.

ok so the easy find method is used as well. like /bcga //travelto poknowledge will do as sic said above and probably the best advise. but yeah camp fires rock. need 3 to drop one and pop in most zones right at camp fire.

you can also do "/travelto group guildhall" to tell your whole group to do this.

I found the easiest way for me to run my group through zones is using Magellan, select a zone and travelto. The shortcut you have will work as well. The only difference is I would use DanNet /dgga or /dgza /travelto somezoneshortname
You can also use guild hall banners in conjunction with fellowship. Set up fellowship with 3 toons create campfire, port 12 toons to campfire and set up guild banner, port rest of the guild to guild banner through the guild hall.

I've been playing EQ since launch basically, and I've yet to use campfires lol, not even sure how.
Campfires are far easier than they used to be, first you make your "Fellowship" (shift control F then click create) this will start your fellowship with your character listed. Just a side note: Fellowships have exp sharing that I am not going to get into :).

Now target your alts, friends or whoever you want in your Fellowship and click "invite" on that window. You can have up to 12 characters in it. But only 3 of them are needed to be in a zone to make a campfire. If you drop a member or they leave the fellowship then they have a lock out of 20 hours before they can be invited or join again.

Now go to POK and use your find key to locate Randall of the Fellows who is listed as Fellowship Registrar in the list. He will give you a run down similar to what I just did :) Next to him is an NPC vendor named Fellow Byllie.

The first thing you need to buy from him "Fellowship Registration Insignia". Well, not buy cause its free but each of your characters will need one and this is what will port each one to the campfire. Its not a group port. You can port every 15 minutes to the campfire.

If you wish to have an "empowered" campfire which will add stats to your group then you will also need to buy "1 Fellowship Campfire Materials" every time you replace your campfire to empower it. They cost 1k plat.

You do not need to buy this if you just want to use the campfires as a port and don't care about the extra stats.

Using the campfire:

Take 3 of your characters/friends to the zone you want and Using the Fellowship window again you will click on the tab at the top that says "camp". Click refresh. You have to click refresh every time you do anything in this window. The default campfire that is just to port to is called "Fellowship of Honor" and is the first one highlighted. So you click that, and then click "create" at the bottom. It drops a campfire and now whoever is in your fellowship can port to that fire using their Insignia. The 3 do not need to stay there - they are just needed to place it.

Empowered campfires are also listed in that window but you have to click the "show all possible" There are just stat raising and illusion/stat options. You have to buy those materials mentioned earlier

Hope this helps, campfires are really helpful in the game

A lot of great tips here. I find that /travelto commands tend to work best for me. NavHelper can help with travel commands and ports as well.

I use FOLLOW ME in PoK and GL to get to the GH. Once I use the GH portal and get the expansion I want, I bard invis/ivu then use /travelto group <shortzonename>. and let the magic happen.
I have found that if I drive to fast in the GL (or other zones) and the toon being followed gets to far ahead, sometimes they dont all zone.... but that doesnt happen often now because I pay a bit more attention before I zone my driver. Your mileage may vary.

Whenever I need to move two groups or more to the same zone I'll group two halves of different fellowships and they can each plop a campfire. You can then have 12 characters in the same zone. If your characters are in the same guild, you can plop a guild banner and bring in anyone else. Campfires are a huge time saver for many reasons. You can get creative with the placements, thinking ahead like a game of chess.

I tried the /travelto group short name last night. Worked well. Thank you. In fact, what ive done is just created a few buttons with the places i go to the most. So now i just click a button and whole group moves to that zone. That's soooo AWESOME!

Yeah add in a bard to mix and pop their selo aa and group double invis and you will always have a bard. They are just so handy for moves and also a great character to have for dps and CC. so pop the AA's on bard .. sic has a listing in his hotkeys ,and do the /bcga //travelto poknowledge as example and everyone arrives. Can do /bcga //travelto guildhall3 if grand guild hall and its great. Hope you got the fellowship all set as well. its a huge help as well.

I did get a button for Bard to invis group and pop the selo this morning, I should probably add that to the travel buttons so it does it all at once. That's awesome too! I do need that guildhall3 button created. I wasn't sure what the short was for that. Thank you!

What is the command for this? I would like mine to look less obvious.
There's no getting past 6 toons following the same exact path, especially when its a path that isn't what a real person would use. That being said, having all 6 not do it at the exact same time....maybe helps, or maybe I'm fooling myself. I have a couple buttons for the zones I'm using regularly, but you could probably also use a variable in the button and a /dgga to set the variable to zone short name.

Code:
/dgga /docommand /timed $\{Math.Rand[10,500]} /travelto guildhalllrg

Thank you, that's all I'm wanting, although it sounds like I need to find a guide on using campfires too
Campfires are easy. In Building by nexus stone take one character and the guy behind the altar. Go through his dialog to setup a fellowship. CTRL+SHIFT+F and invite all your toons to the fellowship. Then have each of your characters say "How" to the same guy to get the clicky for campfires. Then when you setup camp CTRL+SHIFT+F, campfire tab, select campfire and hit drop camp fire.

another option is to hotkey a door click, i just get my group close to the door or thing to click and hit this:
/bcga //targetdoor
/bcga //click left door

for the guild hall portals i use the following so everybody ports at once:
/bcga //yes
