I've messed around on Perky, Ascendant and THJ when it was a thing. Which Emu is your favorite? I kind of like the progression style of Ascendant but don't like being limited to 3 boxes.

I don't know if I was doing something wrong on Perky but it seemed to freeze every 15 minutes. Lazarus seems to be a crowd favorite.

It really depends on what you are looking for.
  • Do you want to box three characters, play on a server that is tuned for that, get AAs from other classes with some custom stuff and QoL?
    • Ascendant.
  • Do you want to box six characters, group with other people boxing groups to raid, and enjoy some end game custom stuff and QoL?
    • Project Lazarus.
  • Do you want to box twelve characters and do your own thing with some custom stuff in there as well and QoL?
    • EQMight.
Those are in my opinion the best emu experiences right now but if you prefer a private server just for you, or a server thats super vanilla, or some server that allows you to do anything and have that uber power fantasy, those exist too. The choice is yours. Take a look at some of them on EQEmulator and decide where you fit best.

To expand on this:

* Do you want to box more than 12, on a server that's progression is purely custom while maintaining high QoL?
* EZ Server

* Do you want a server that lets you box 6, is mostly vanilla progression, with modified encounters to unlock content and many convenience style QoL upgrades?
* The Dark Exile
* Do you want to control an entire army of 72 through your automation flavor of choice focusing on raid encounters?
* Convergence
* Do you want to FAFO, with a single (or maybe 2) live PC's with a raid force of computer controlled ^bots running around with you, with random loot, fast leveling, and the ability to go basically anywhere?
* Karana Server
There are simply so many options to choose from, it's hard to tell you which server to specifically go to. The good news is, if you start on a server, and you don't enjoy it...there's another one waiting for you to come try it out!

Project Lazarus and EQ Might have both been great experiences. Go PL if you want to play with other boxers or go EQM if you want more solo challenges. Or play both!

EQMight has lots of duo and trio content as well, and also supports just playing 6, you can complete like 95% of content with 6. You can also just team up with others and do it all.

I've played on laz: found everyone helpful , lot of events for high to low lvl. BUT, since I only have about an hour to play every night it, took to long for me to progress.

I've played on Convergence and loved doing old school raids, and with private DZ you could afk. BUT, taking care of 30 characters is a pain in the ass.

Now I play on Profusion. Lot of helpful people. Private DZs with afk. E9 and straps are great at fixing bugs and making new content. All downloads and fixes are on discord. Nice in-game Lua help.
Next one for me is might. Rgmercs Lua is set up for it.
You'll find one you like.

This is one of my favs. But all of the above mentioned servers are great.

Good morning everyone. Excuse my ignorance, but where do I get the Rain of Fear 2 / RoF2 client? Since I don't understand English, I'm using the AI and it tells me I need that file to play on the EQM server, but I have no idea where or how to get it. Thanks and regards.

Nobody can help you find the client. To keep it simple for translation, that software is property of DBG and nobody can legally share it. This website does not condone piracy or violating copyright law.

Thank you so much for the information; it's much clearer now. And I apologize if I've broken any rules. Best regards.
