Release Tradeskill Construction Set NeXt (5 Viewers) 4.1991b

Firstly, loving the lua

Have noticed a few things though. The “abort” button doesn’t seem to do anything in the artisan craft tab. I can spam it for a minute and my guy keeps trying to craft. Let me know if there’s a way to get more info on this if needed

I also noticed he was making 170+ egg whites for a lemon meringue pie last night. Had to exit and restart the lua and he seemed to realize he had enough egg whites at that point. I can try to destroy the egg whites I have in inventory and craft another to see if it hangs up in the precombines again when I get home from work
The Pause button works great. Just make sure you are finished with whatever operation you are doing.

Yeah, pause works fine, and /Lua pause tcn brings the UI back up, just wanted to bring to attention that a button wasn’t working was all 😁

Great Lua. Not sure what has changed recently but starting TCN now hangs after 'Initializing Tradeskill Depot"

could be a restart or reload or back end server change, or option D

I am aware sometimes it hangs on checking faction, and I just start over.

I've tried restarting it, restarting MQ2, the PC, deleting the free version. I think I'll try deleting TCN itself and try again.

This week will be reviewing and possibly changing the trophy methods to only change trophies when the skill changes.

One thing I try to do is go ahead and equip the main trophy for the skill for the Recipe, or set of recipes, first before I start the run. That way hopefully the trophy is kind of always resetting back to the main one, not the one I last left on there because I never look :) I would say if you can start there, and if I stop the TCN before it finishes, I am all right with it being up to me to swap the trophy back manually if needed.

So to summarize, if you can switch to one main trophy for the run, then only swap when needed, that woud be awsome.

I have identified what I believe to be all the relevant code, and moving it or most of it to the library to be used by the other modules. TLDR other boring stuff. So Trophy Operation is underway

ok so i and a few others have had a problem with crescent reach on return from vendor.... seems to be the elevator being down on first floor already or that the toon is missing the chance to get on or he just inst pushing the button. i had no issues when i did tailoring art task quest thing to build up my skill to 350 but doing blacksmith everytime i go to crescent reach i have to give some type of assistance to get him goin, and if i use gate the pok trade tables he will not do anything until i click the table he needs to use and even then he might not do anything after that leading me to have to restart and start again .
love the program great work but if you can fix this one area for all of us that are having the problem that would be great...

p.s. Greg said something about taking teeth out..... if you could help me with that part much thanks :)

I am not on discord religiously so this is news to me, or I have been doing hard time, or freeze dried.

Generally, if no other toons are around I expect smooth sailing in that area, but window focus does a play a factor if you like to flip around with regards to clicking on things and navigation..

I will need to re-read and see if I can properly regurgitate what you are saying into a cogent flow, and of course, take action on it.

well after watching it seems sometimes, he clicks the button for the elevator but doesn't always get on... he will click it several times and then just give up when all he had to do was walk forward on the platform. i think if he stood on the platform before clicking the button it would fix it.
also noticed he gets off the opposite side of where he is headed and waits to where the elevator starts to go up and then he runs across it... no issue with that part just saying

Hey JB,

Could we make it an option to "Retrieve Entire Stack" when we grab stuff from the bank or Depot.

See below - I was making a batch of Rings. Toon grabs 10 Cleaning Solution from the Depot (I currently have 588 or so in the depot)

He makes one combine runs out of cleaning solution and goes and buys 70 more.

So there are two suggestions I would like to make.

1. If toon always "retrieved the stack" of any item its not going to take any more bag space.
And he puts them back at the end - so its not going to make any bag clutter.

2. If he runs out of stuff he should do a check on the bank/depot inventory again before going shopping.

Otherwise - Keep up the great work.

As background, I lost my FTP ts storage toons in the recent banning. Now I have 12, scattered across 3 gold and 1 silver account. This means I have to do a lot of logging and swapping.

Along the same lines as Szasor's post, I could save a ton of time in Artisan skilling if the "Request Item" routine would take all (up to a stack) of an item instead of just the exact number needed. As it is, I output the "missing" list and massage it to match up toon inventories, then go to each storage toon in turn and grab all the stuff that particular toon has that is also on the list.

Using the current parsimonious approach, if I need to make some 20 things that each require 1 diamond, even a very conservative fail rate of 1 in 20 means I would have to log a toon back in. Extrapolate that out to 876 (for fletching) and it's a huge delay.

Thanks again for this app, it works very well and I do appreciate your work.

So, it may not be the best solution, but it is baked in, where you can do an item request of xxx items and it will give you that number if available.

I searched around and found that, thanks. It will help in certain situations.
There is a mass sorter/grabber/giver Lua out there, TS Consolidator.. it helps for the mass movement of materials. Just throwing that out, not an endorsement, nor am I compensated.

This guy, was on the fence for so long, and then it was like he had an epiphany..
I can say this to folks reading, if you're on the fence for any reason like I was, pull the trigger!!! This is one of the best purchases you will ever make on Red Guides.

What did they say a long time ago.. "The check is in the mail"

Not sure where the fix was for this on page 101... What worked for me was, after much tinkering, was to re-install the visual c++ from Microsoft...
https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x64.exe
The no max trophy table means the setup was not run or maybe copied to another pc. there is a prize.zip file that extracts the prize.db file when run. This has the list of items to make for artisan.

The resources needs to be watched and re-installed, if you deleted the folder itself, I don't know what would happen, but it can't be good.
If you delete the folder and re run the setup it adds back the databases past the original purchase and all that jazz. I tried putting the file from the prize.zip folder into the tcn folder and it says file size correct but when I try to load recipes for artisan it gives me that. I’ll check to see that I’m watching the resource but I am pretty sure I am because that is how I got the Lua back into the Lua folder to re-run it from setup after deleting the whole folder.

Still working on the trophy swapping thing, I have the routines but want to make sure they are being called when needed and not back to the same way it was, which was switching the trophy all the time.

The file structure is there right? example \lua\TCN\Working
Yeah but there are no character files inside of it. I tried making one and it didn’t crash but if I tried clicking load recipes it did. I think I did copy some from another pc though originally. I forgot about that earlier

If you are using the new EQ UI engine, you should consider disabling it

some weird quirks using batch recepies, i made Greatstaff of the Four Winds Ornamentation and Ball of Sunlight ornamentation and it wouldn't register after it succeeded.

if any plugin manipulates an item on the cursor, that is a sure fire way, because TCN is looking for it, and if it poofs from auto loot or something else, it cannot register it.

The secondary reason is the item ID may be incorrect.

The final product ID is different on EQ Traders than EQResource.. .. pfft..

However the unfired is the same ID for both and in the Artisan DB

If you still have it can you tell me the IDs it gives you, EQTC has one id for the finished product, and 2 different IDs on eqresource

I get the item on cursor thing, but that popup was just telling me there was an item on my cursor, it doesnt drop it for 20 seconds. Also it worked fine for another ornament (and everything else) I made. I dont have the greatstaff without making another one, i already parceled it off, if i can get the person to send me a link I will

Yeah I have a different ID in the database

In other news I have (I believe) successfully integrated trophy swapping to a new trophy or returning the main item when the crafting is completing and only changing the trophy if a new skill is required for batch and standard, working on artisan routines and quests.

Update coming soon, cancel christmas.
