Release Tradeskill Construction Set NeXt 4.1991b

Lord I am sorry. I wont even say what I did wrong. But I will say this for anyone else that may have issues.

Go buy and scribe the recipes. Just because you knew recipes 20 years ago when you stopped playing does not mean you still know them.

Carry on.
Absolutely this ^^

Just because you were the go to tailor in your guild and made just about every recipe possible pre DoDH doesn't mean you still remember any of them.

Which is pretty shitty of DayBreak not to have spent even a little time to address this issue when they made the change.

Since we are PSA'ing... do both GOD and TSS freebies before you get over level 50 in any skill. It will accomplish a couple of things. One, gives you 50+ or more Artisan recipes for the prize. Two, allows you tor refine materials for recipes and also needed for a lot of Artisan prize recipes. Threeve, get your trophy quests so you can do the most objectively easy ones before it gets more difficult
Thanks! I was already 250 in blacksmithing when I came back so did not even have a chance there. But definately going to do the others asap.

Yes! I was stunned to come back and have like no recipes! Ha!

Using the spit in GOD quest is causing crashes for who knows what reason.. other than it just being weird, so far.

Sometimes, Sometimes Not..

Thinking about the purchase just not sure if its beyond my limited abilities. on a scale of one to ten, ten being very difficult to get the hang of. How easy would you rate this to figure out? I tried the free version and I seemed to figure out the basics and did one thing and it worked ok but it seemed pretty basic. I've never been a big trade skill player.

Coming from the idiot that thought he couldn't figure it out, it is almost a 1 on ease. Maybe a 2 if you are tired and think you know more than you really do. If you got the free version down, you will be fine. It is great and really a must buy.

This person is not a compensated endorser, but here is a redcent anyways.

After doing an artisans prize to max I have had a couple observations/requests:

- Is there anyway we can get a precombine request tab? Doing artisan prize its a bit clunky trying to request artisans prize stuff 1 at a time. Could be 50-100 precombines for a single run. I have everything from fishscale sheets to celestial essence already made and its trying to buy/make more. Getting them one by one, when there's not even a list of what i need is a challenge at best.

- Anyway we can get a limiter to the places a request function will search? Like something that controls requests to only inventory or bank or depot and not searching all 3. Will reduce the overhead on requesting batch items.

- A bottom up approach to large batch would really speed up processing. I know its a challenge to have different codes for different cases, but if i had to make more than a few items, starting from the lowest level of precombine and working my way up to the final product would save a lot of switching from place to place as you could stay at the tables until you were done with something instead of running all over the place for hours on end.

- Doing artisans in POK, It would run to dogle pitt (or nearest banker) sometimes for no reason. I had what it was gonna do in my bags, but it would go to the bank, stand there for a few seconds, then go to the table after doing nothing.

- Artisan quest tab puts all your shit back in your bank when its done, even if its not selected to do so in global options. Was also having an issue where it would be selling tools when id try to use it to empty my bags of vendor stuff. also, selling magic clay (enchanted items) to vendors happened a few times.

- Being able to remove recipes either as a whole or by components would be helpful when doing large batch artisan prizes, even if you do it 50-100 at a time, you eventually run into a bunch of stuff you just aren't going to make and you may only have a few recipies that you will in a fairly large list.

- Had a weird situation where it would switch my ammo slot back to arrows or whatever, even though i had swapped my trophy around before i started a batch. I assume you're checking whats in the ammo slot when you load the program, but it would be putting arrows or the wrong trophy in, and then swapping it back to whatever I was doing at the time. It was adding a ton of time to the batch process.

- When on "buy item" mode, and it needs to go buy something, could it search to see how many of that item i need in the current batch and buy that many of the item, instead of buying the 1 i need for the current recipie. It isnt that big of a deal when you go to POK to pickup a cleaning solution, but when I need to go to stratos to get a purified clay and I need 20 of them, it can waste a ton of time. If I need more than 1 of something for the current batch, it would be nice if i could stock them up on that run instead of making a bunch of separate trips to the merchant.

On request items, I have 10 mules i request items from. I was having an issue when they'd nav to me and get piled up in front of me and they wouldn't hand me items anymore. Sometimes the mule would drop the item in their bag and just stand there and the request item loop would get stuck. Im sure some of this has to do with lag or something, just a redundant attempt would be nice if there's an issue. Also would be nice if it would pull all inventory on my request list at once, fill up their bags with the stuff and bring it to me in one batch and hand it to me at once instead of checking each item one at a time. not sure if its possible or not, but it would really speed the process up.

Anyhow, its a good program, I like it. THank you for making it. Just some thoughts i had on it while i was watching it work its stuff. I am sure you've thought of some of this stuff, just saying it just in case you haven't.

I am going to need a fifth before I comment on these statements.

Dunno when it happened, but 3 recipes that are tools that have no sub-recipes are not providing the proper response for crafting. I have been going back in time to see the last time it worked, but have come up empty. Of course, when I have problems I like to have solutions, So I have one that works. I just want to see what was changed before I implement this fix.

Muramite Needle
Mithril Working Knife
Corking Device

Went back to the beginning of the year and none of them have worked.. So I blame something or someone else, but I don't know who that someone or something else is..

but anyways .. solution incoming..

Note: This is why kept all the luas separate.. so I wouldn't have to scour through one giant one to find a Muramite Needle in a haystack..

I did some NOS combines and tried to use the UI function - worked well on some, did not on others: the "guardian's" stuff tries to enter "guardians" and EQ doesn't find any recipe there.

It is based on a set of 2 names, the recipe name in the components and the recipe name in the recipe list.

EQ has stuff like (may not be exactly accurate spelling or even true recipe name)

The recipe name we know: Sic's Amazing Poached Meatballs

The UI name: Sic's Balls I

The other scenario being it is not "learned" and if not it will never show up in the UI.

The ' may be an issue also.

The other other scenario, is you never made it before so it won't be learned in the UI.

Also there are 2 recipes in total with Guardian's in them in NOS.

I tried to screenshot the names as they were entered in kiln/pottery wheel:

I do know the recipes (with ')

The recipe does of course continue, since the fallback handling takes over :)

Yeah I had to make them to see it look for them to find out it didn't find them.

Luclinite seems to be the extra word in there..

Yep they have it in one recipe but not the other.. WTG

You don't change a race horse mid-race, unless you are EQ.

I think my problem lies in

lib.type_chars(p_item_name)

for non US/UK charsets. I don't know why, but it strips stuff like ' and turns y into z - if you output the p_chars it is fine.

Culprit is /keypress y chat -> that outputs "z" on my box...

Can't speak for people across the pond, but I can say it wasn't finding it for me based on the extra 'Luclinite' in the recipe name.

I can't find "spiritual luclinite powder" under standard or batch, but it does exist under item lookup. I'm not sure how to get a batch of this running if it doesn't show up in batch?

If you did not purchase the NOS recipe pack it will not show up.

I have everything from fishscale sheets to celestial essence already made and its trying to buy/make more. Getting them one by one, when there's not even a list of what i need is a challenge at best.

- If I have a bunch of something that is already done, I would just request it and the toon will deliver.. under the request tab.. TCN operates under the premise if it is not in your inventory, bank, or depot, to plan to do it all, with hail Mary for DH and GH

- Anyway we can get a limiter to the places a request function will search? Like something that controls requests to only inventory or bank or depot and not searching all 3. Will reduce the overhead on requesting batch items.
- Probably, but can't say it is anywhere near the top of an action list
- A bottom up approach to large batch would really speed up processing. I know its a challenge to have different codes for different cases, but if i had to make more than a few items, starting from the lowest level of precombine and working my way up to the final product would save a lot of switching from place to place as you could stay at the tables until you were done with something instead of running all over the place for hours on end.

- As is, it "cares" about the craft that it is currently working on. What you are asking for is out of an example list of 30 items, find all the similar items that would make up all these items and then make them first so we only hang out at the fletching table once for item that ultimately use the forge. Could this be done, sure, can it be done easily, Maybe not so much, it would basically be I keep the main recipe isolated from everything else and hope the sub combines are not too involved or deviate from one another. As long as the recipe order with recipe counts overall remained intact this can work.

- Doing artisans in POK, It would run to dogle pitt (or nearest banker) sometimes for no reason. I had what it was gonna do in my bags, but it would go to the bank, stand there for a few seconds, then go to the table after doing nothing.

- Would need to know recipe you were working on, and what was in your bank.

- Artisan quest tab puts all your shit back in your bank when its done, even if its not selected to do so in global options. Was also having an issue where it would be selling tools when id try to use it to empty my bags of vendor stuff. also, selling magic clay (enchanted items) to vendors happened a few times. - Yes it does put all your stuff back in the bank because ostensibly it just ran a bunch of recipes and took out a bunch of tools, so yeah, I think it is useful.
Sell means sell.. if the final product has value and sell is on it should sell. If it is a sub-item, that is problematic.
- Being able to remove recipes either as a whole or by components would be helpful when doing large batch artisan prizes, even if you do it 50-100 at a time, you eventually run into a bunch of stuff you just aren't going to make and you may only have a few recipies that you will in a fairly large list.
prize.db quote the raven, nevermore nevermore... it is used to ignore recipes you will never do or never want to farm for. You set it to 1 to skip that recipe by name.
- The magical way is to have trophies in the house and this issue doesn't happen. If it is doing weird things, problematic.
- When you generate the batch list it gives you the option to buy it all in one fell swoop before doing the batch, I am pretty sure it buys everything the first time around and then does one-offs. I believe I also have the drop down to override the purchase count for vendor items so it buys more than you need .. x 1
On request items, I have 10 mules i request items from. I was having an issue when they'd nav to me and get piled up in front of me and they wouldn't hand me items anymore. Sometimes the mule would drop the item in their bag and just stand there and the request item loop would get stuck. - I have been lobbying for MQFtp plugin which would make most of these dreams easily possible, to no avail. The theory is it would dump all the inventories from all the toons to the ftp which is then data crunched and it makes the lists from each toon in each amount and then does all the delivery. This would speed up the whole asking toon x if they have something because we would already know what they have based on the data dump.
I "think" I can do a broadcast to all toons with DanNet to query an item, and then whoever answers first would do the delivery. I would have to think about doing it twice, if it is failing because everyone bunches up I might add in a run away to the process.

I know everyone gets excitement from different things, but watching TCN over and over for testing has made me want to watch paint dry more as a form of entertainment.

I like the option of using the "guild hall" but can you add the small guild hall as an option as well? I like to be able to choose between the two.

small -> standard guild hall

What is a "small guild hall" and the answer is probably no, since it doesn't have all the containers. Similar to SRH where it doesn't have a spell crafting table so I said screw it.

Hello all,

I hope you guys are doing well. I love this Lua. I've been using the hell out of it and I now have 3 tradeskills at 300. My plan is to get them all to 300. I do have a question, is there a way, that this Lua can produce a shopping list of all unlearned recipes and the items I need to farm, regardless of tradeskill? I can't seem to figure it out.

Thank you.

I am getting a ton of crashes, every 10-30 combines, with the following crash information. This has been occurring within the last week or so. I know there was recent discussion of crashes, but throwing my name in the hat:

go to craft, Artisan, select the skill you want, then uncheck the box next to the recipes [10] and generate mass list:

Ok, so I've been trying a few different times. It seems that the very first time I do a recipe it works AWESOME and I think the way its supposed to. Now likely the issue I'm having is on my part. But the next recipe I click craft on and I get the text saying it did the recipe but no actual action. Any suggestions or tips would be appreciated. A couple of my toons I did the GOD and TSS and it went through them no issue. Just seems to be something that I'm doing wrong.

I've been using /relocate air to jump to Stratos. Anyway we can get that added to the movement function to save some time?

WTH is this? I have heard of relocate but what does it do just zone you into Stratos from anywhere?

Pfft I thought it was some magic..

Screenshots.. plz

Note: If you want/select 10 acid wash, and you have 10 acid wash in inventory, it will not make more.. that is by design.

I'll give that a shot. I assumed it was something simple that I was overlooking. Thank you!

The tradeskill consolidator Lua does something similar to this. It goes through finds all the things you have that you would want, pulls them all out at once, then trades them all at once. Just a thought

TCN trades what is asked for based on the need of the list or individual request , I do not know how robust the consolidator is with regards to requesting vegetables, cream and making a list based on what is requested or if it just does as it says period.

I have tens of thousands of vegetables in the bank and it didnt have any issues handling them.
