Should really try and present them in a proper way somewhere at home, rather then hide them away. Found some more ones recently and just had to buy them.

this is awesome!

man, i remember i think it was luclin - was like 7 discs or 1 dvd, i had the 7 discs, and kept failing on like disk 6 or something stupid

took forever

Man I remember owning box games. Had my entire shelf in my closet lined with them. Never wanted to get rid of them.

Old school EQ, when your parents got pissed because your phone line was always busy haha.

I still remember the magic and the music that played as I installed Velious, which for me was my first expansion. I started with Kunark and I think my college roommate had already installed it. It was wonderful and exciting. Downloading a patch just doesn't hit.... at all.

haha, and it was even worse when you had to split that limited play time with a sibling!

Yup, remember all those retail boxs. And failed installs. Oh and the dialup updates. Thank the Lord for cable, even more so for Fios fiber. So many threats made to family members about picking up a phone. I was so bad, and so terribly ashamed now. Yelled and threatened, then begged forgiveness.

I remember a friend and his brother exchanging fisticuffs over who could play...

After a month of EQ release, my wife 'needed' to play too, and after 1 week of ''my turn" on the modem...it led me to do my first 'internet research' on a software modem line share thing.
Worked. Both of us on EQ at the same time was kinda amazing back then.

I still have like 20 PoP boxes in storage, back when you had to buy them for each account. Yes I am an OG boxer but back then it was multiple computers on an ISDN? line.

I think laid out in chronological order and then photographed, they would make for a killer wallpaper.

What an awesome collection. I have a few boxes and maps - I had a bunch of the action figures but i sold them a few years back when i rage quit EQ yet again haha. Very cool stuff. Thanks for sharing.

P.S if anyone has and wants to sell the Rogue, Warrior, or Wiz epic 2.0 keyrings from the omens box pop me a pm!

I remember talking my parents into cable internet because our phone was always busy with me or my dad playing. They thanked me because it was much faster. Also who had a book with all the printed maps of zones! Or the cloth map from OG box?

Another one on the way!
