Is there a way to specify whether to put the items in the vault or in your crate?
This is a good question. Anyone know? Last update posted was ToL stuff.
If you cannot manually put it in your crate, then it can't be done in the macro either. I have not yet found a crate that will take collections.

The Crate you are awarded from RoS Hunter achievement allows collections to be placed in it, as far as I know. I can manually put collections into it, all day every day.

I think you're confused as to what a crate is. The items you linked are bags. Crates are additional storage for properties.Which crates have you tried?
Collection items only crates:
Deep Cavern Collectors crate: Only need to do the entire quest one time, then you can move each one to alts and just ask for another one.
Deep Caverns Collector's Case

Check your shiny.ini file, located in your macro folder. Search for ToV and you should have a list of items. I expect your issue is the command line. Tell me what you are trying to and I can help (placing items, clicking items in inventory etc. - be specific.)
Great so far in sorting houses but
/mac reward CoV
reads the collections.ini file and uses item dispensers to make the collection items
doesn't work for me - it reports how many dispensers I have and then does a list of all the items I need from ALL packs - then ends
Something I noticed today: It appears when you "update all macro's" on the Red guides Launcher - it's reinstalling your shiny.ini -
The developer gave us a way to collect and add future expansions to the macro. The current "update" only goes to ToL - So you manually add the collection information for NoS and LS.
When you update, its replacing your edited shiny.ini with the supplied ini that only goes to ToL
I thought I was making a mistake saving my LS, but now I see NoS is gone too - So i guess don't hit update all on the launcher. Just update macros individually that need it.
So anyone having issues with LS/NoS check your shiny.ini - it might have been erased.

from first glance your "tol" list is missing a bracket on [tol] so the macro isn't finding tol
So as I said earlier, I don't really use the overseer claim feature. But i tested it today on TBL (because i just need a few to complete). It worked 100% perfect.
Let me break down the steps used. And if you feel its just 1 expansion or something I guess I can waste some overseer rewards to test that for you.
First thing that MUST be done (and repeated if you change clicking for expansion with the macro) is to populate your collection.ini Do not confuse this with shiny.ini Shiny.ini is a permanent list of all the collectibles for every expansion (once you update it) Collection ini is a "dump" for the expansion you are about to work with.
So open your achievement window for the character you want to work on. /ach open expansion and click on collections. Now type /mac shiny gather
This populates (and overwrites) your collection.ini for that character.
now you can do /mac reward TBL
Result = *i stopped it after one*

OK worked great on 2 toons but stopped while oing the other 4. Should I not have ran all at 1 time or collect while it was running? and can I get it to run again as I have tried to regather and it shows the missing items. then when I do reward tov it shuts down. I lso tried deleting the collections .ini for said toon and rerunning gather it seems to work fine tells me how many i still need but reward will not run.
